M-m-m-my Corona! They got the meats. Literally. And, they're pretty amazing. It's almost ironic (sadly) that we discovered our meat slice of heaven during the Coronavirus pandemic, but ever more appropriate. The meats are exceptional, fairly priced and served with a kind generous attitude. They offer delivery to a broad range of locations (Pocono Pines included - which is where we are) and also a no-contact pickup. It's as easy as call your order in, pay over the phone and pull up with an open trunk to have them drop the order in. Our personal favorites are their properly sized and thickness filet mignons (9oz) as they have a true "melt-in-you-mouth" texture. For a special burger, the Squealers grill up nicely with an extra bit of juice from all their special ingredients. You also cannot go wrong with their giant juicy chicken breasts, their regular chopped meat (for a high quality make at home burger) or even their eggs! We've made Corona butcher part of our Poconos mix and highly recommend you do too.

As we entered the shop, the amount of different available items, was overwhelming. We looked over the cases, made some choices from the frozen meats, and told the lovely woman behind the counter, what we were looking for. She listened, and as soon as the butcher was finished with the prior customer, he prepped our fresh cut ribeyes. We chatted with him and he made a few suggestions, according to our choices. We were thinking the same thing! He seemed pleased that we were so tickled that he approved. This shop is a breath of fresh air. Someone who takes true pride in what they do!

It would be hard pressed to find a classic like this in the Bay Area, and if something like this does still exist, it's at risk of withering away at any moment. FYI, for California folks not familiar with ham salad, it's similar to a tuna or egg salad, except made with ham. Thus far, I've had the macaroni salad for the 2 out of 2 days I've been here so far. I may give their potato salad a try tomorrow. Personally, I'd have their macaroni salad everyday, if I lived here. You'll also find plenty of Pennsylvania and East Coast classical food items that you won't find in California, like their homemade shoo-fly pies and kiffles, A-Coast sodas, Good's Chips and Tasty Cakes. In addition, there's also local memorabilia along the walls of this tiny store. When I see all of these things, I know I'm not in the Bay Area anymore!
