Unresponsive and limited flight instruction customer service. My assessment is informed as an experienced airplane, glider, balloon, and and helicopter pilot who has trained with dozens of military and civilian organizations. After months of repetitive and unsuccessful attempts to schedule with C&R, I'll take my ~$9,000 block of flying somewhere customer-focused. From my perspective, C&R appears to be too busy -- or too successful -- to need the business. read more

Awful company to work with! Do not hire for private flights!!! Ruined my parent's 50th anniversary party! They never showed up and after leaving a message, they never even bothered to call back. I even told the woman whom I made reservations with (for the 3rd time) that I wasn't getting the warm fuzzy that everything was in place, she called back 20 minutes after that conversation to tell me everything was correct in the computer system, OOOookay. Come Sunday and time of arrival ... NOTHING... We had to scramble to get the rest of the celebration setup. Could have been and would have been EPIC!!! but it turned out to be a MASSIVE LET DOWN. I went to CR helicopters to get an additional rating after getting my fixed wing license. The level of knowledge and professionalism is much higher than I ever experienced with any of my fixed wing instructors. Bob is very personable and his experience is incredible. I can see why people fly their helicopters hundreds of miles to have them serviced by Bob's mechanics and others get their primary and advanced ratings at CR. read more

I had a totally Awesome time taking lessons here during one of my trips to Boston! It's a bit of a drive outside of Boston but Nashua is a decent size city of its own to explore especially by air. My instructor was Johannes; a rather tall German speaking Italian from the Italian alps. Johannes was friendly, even tempered, keenly detailed in his instruction, and carefully followed a routine pattern that would prevent common new pilot errors. Despite the fact that an R22 appears to be a tiny helicopter upon first site we both easily fit within the cockpit like a glove with room to spare. Johannes obviously loves to teach and unlike other instructors that I've had he fully let's you take control and fly almost anywhere that you want. We landed at a few Airports for practice runs and came close enough to Boston to admire the skyline. Never once did I doubt his ability to recover from any of my mistakes, nor his commitment to teaching. My only concern is (as another reviewer said) it can be difficult it is to reach anyone for an appointment via phone. This was my only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 stars. It's hit or miss as to when the owner Bob can answer; as he's often flying and teaching himself. After a few attempts I was finally able to schedule via email, thereby thinking that this is the secret back door, but then later was totally unable to reach anyone again to confirm until I called directly and by luck reached Bob himself. But that didn't discourage me. I thought of it more like trying to get into a private club rather than just poor service as the other reviewer implied. And this is certainly is no fault of Johannes. He is rather very good at communicating and once you meet him he will maintain contact. Overall the staff here is very friendly and I feel safe in their hands. As communication improvements I'm certainly willing to update to 5 stars. read more

You will get the best attention to your needs with a safe and skillful instructor. It is really the cheapest, but greatest way to get your licence or just simply experience what is flying helicopter all about. Highly recommend...Johannes is the best!!! read more

They are a Full Service business handling both flight instruction and Robinson Helicopter service. They have both R22 and R44 Helicopters available to take lessons. Of course the R22 is less expensive to train in but the way to really go is in the R44. I have had a number of instructors over my 2 years to get my license and each of them were dedicated to helping me the best way possible! read more
