I was taking flight lessons with this fraudulent company. I had to pause due to personal reasons but had intentions to continue in the future so I left money in my account with the school. I ended up needing that money so I tried to get in contact with the school to get a refund. Oh boy did I not expect what happened next. Nothing. Nothing happened next. Over the course of 2 months I tried vehemently to get in contact with the owners, directors, anyone who could help me. Did they try and help? Did they give me any information on how to start the process? No. All I got was silence. Finally on one of my visits to the school, I was told I needed to fill out a form to get the process started. This was 3 months after my first inquiry. I filled out the paperwork and sent it in and expected that it would take another week or so to get processed. How about that? Another month goes by with nothing. No sign of any movement. Then I get this sketchy email with a printable check. Not suspicious at all. Bring it to my bank to deposit and it all goes swimmingly. Fast forward to today. Check bounced. Perfect. Knowingly writing a bad check for the amount of money that the check was for constitutes a Class A felony. Now I know you might be thinking that they didn't write with bad check knowingly, but I have some more evidence to the fact that they did knowingly commit fraud. I was told by multiple flight instructors and front desk workers that they were not getting paid for their time worked nor were they being reimbursed for out of pocket expense while on the job. I was also privy to information that the owner of ADA has been late/refused to pay rent and other business expenses to the building manager and others. As a recap, ADA owners/directors knowingly committed a class a felony, refuse to pay their employees and get involved in shady and unethical business practices. I have already started contacting the authorities to help deal with this matter but it needed to be public. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone interested in a flight school to look for other options and to anyone currently involved with ADA to GTFO as soon as possible. read more
