Simply a great ride with the LAPD Air Support team. Helicopter around all of LA for 2.5 hours. Very respectful and dedicated folks of the LAPD.

I headed in specifically hoping to see Officer Spencer (who is already a total smoke show), but he wasn't on the clock. I thought, "Darn, my day can't get any more lackluster." I was wrong. Enter Officer Cabral. Is the City of Los Angeles exclusively recruiting from the runways of Milan? Does the police academy have a mandatory "smolder" exam? I walked in to report a crime and ended up witnessing a miracle. "Tall, dark, and handsome" doesn't even cover it, this man looks like he was sculpted out of marble by Michelangelo himself and then gifted a badge. I walked in to discuss water levels and walked out wondering if I should check my pulse. If the LAPD's strategy for lowering crime is to simply stun citizens into silence with sheer aesthetic perfection, it is working. If you're going to have your property stolen, do yourself a favor and get it handled here. 10/10, would get my water siphoned again just to file the paperwork. Note to the Chief: Whatever you are paying the recruiter for the LAPD, double it. They have an "eye" for talent.

This station is location in the middle of the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles. This makes for a very challenging and dangerous place not only for the homeless community but for the officers assigned to this specific station. This station, for being so old is well maintained and well managed. What more can you say about a police station other than thank you to all the officers assigned to this station who keep the DTLA area safe and the civilian employees for all of their hard work behind the scenes.

I called 911 and they connected me to LAPD dispatch which was a long hold over 30 minutes so I went to the nearest police station and they told me I have to call and wait on hold. I asked if I could go outside and try to flag down an officer and they encouraged me to try it. When I went outside the first police car I saw had officers Martinez and Flores inside. I explained my situation and asked nicely if they could please escort me to retrieve my bike. After a few moments of discussion they agreed and invited me to get in the back seat! When we approached the encampment they spoke with the friendly man staying there and asked if it was okay for me to get my bike back. This man was extremely kind and helpful to return my bike. He even offered to patch the flat tire which I declined as I didn't want to use too much time, so he gave me a pack of tire patches! The officers followed me back to my car near the police station a few blocks away, to make sure I got in safely. I felt very well taken care of beyond my expectations. After being on hold so long I was losing hope and these two fine officers have really restored my faith with our local LAPD team. I understand the system is overwhelmed, sometimes different approaches will bring results. Thank you again for your help and making a difference that day.

The well maintained lobby hosts an information kiosk to your immediate left, a number of large very comfortable leather chairs, and a black, white, and antiseptic green ceramic tile floor, featuring a design that harkens back to the days of the roaring 20s. Quite stylish but boring for this day and age. Drab, but remember, we're not in a speak-easy with flappers strutting on the dance floor. The tones are purposely muted for the occasion. The staff at County are very pleasant and are quite professional. They understand the business that they're in and are very respectful. Better them than I. I'd screw it up. The website messed us up yesterday. It stated that they were open until 5pm. We got there at noon. CLOSED for Juneteenth. I guess we'll be remembering that day differently than for its originally intended reason. Quick Tip: Before entering the building, make sure that you stop on the top step and turn to peer across the vast expanse to see Dodger Stadium pearched above Chavez Ravine. Careful on that turn though, lest you become one of the rank and file.
