From the owner: The seeds of our gallery, Horton Fine Art, were planted back in 1980 on the island of Bermuda. Walt…read moreHorton, my husband, had always had a very lively, creative side and, on moving to the island, we established an advertising agency. It was a very short journey for Walt to become the island's favorite cartoonist with a cartoon strip in the Royal Gazette and marketing campaigns for the local police, education and environmental departments. Moving to Colorado in 1992 we intended on continuing with what was working so well when Walt fell in love with bronze sculpture. His background as a cartoonist, - story telling, capturing, animation and emotion and his innate ability to make people smile - took his artwork leaps and bounds. It wasn't long before Walt became a beloved bronze artist. With representation in some of the country's finest art galleries the signature piece "Repentance" and the classic "Rhodent Scholars" attracted international attention and are still sought after today. In 2007 we opened our own gallery in Beaver Creek, Colorado, including other artists we are proud to represent. In that same year the unthinkable happened - Walt passed away. When you visit Horton Fine Art today you will be thrilled to see there are still some editions of Walt's work available. Our goal is to have a collection that makes our visitors delight in returning again and again to see what's new - and to take home a piece of art that they will treasure forever.

Luckily they only moved a short distance away near the ice skating rink. By Nature offers some of the most unique natural specimens that you will ever find for sale, and affordable at that. Come in a look around at the amazing variety of geologic collectibles, animal remains, and other clever pieces of art. This place is really worth a stop on your way through the village.

Bought an Ammonite ring. I am wearing it now. Ninety eight bucks. They also have a Giant Saber Tooth Tiger Skull in the thousands, Fifty glowing blue Butterflies with both sides displayed, Enormous Ammonite "sculptures"... various prices, in the tens of thousands, Swimming fish encrusted and preserved in limestone, Intense, brilliant purple Agate Geodes as large as a grown man's torso. Some animals, plants, and butterflies did die so that By Nature Gallery could live. Most of the deaths, though, occurred a long, long time ago. (Jeff helped me here. Great guy. He was wearing an Ohio State t-shirt. I asked him if he was from Columbus...? Yes, recently moved to Colorado. I asked him if he knew the Dorrian family, because that is what i ask everyone from Columbus. YES, political, right, Democrats? Hugh was the City Treasurer, and his daughter is a good friend from college and she is a judge there... Is her name Julia? Yes! OH, yes, i sat for a traffic ticket with her, wore a suit and everything, didn't get out of it, but was SO impressed with her. She is an extremely fair judge and it completely renewed my belief in the system working. She is very fair and I completely trusted that she came to the correct conclusion. Small world.) (Fifteen minutes after leaving the gallery, I get a phone call from my credit card company saying I had left my card here. Jeff had called them immediately! I returned and he apologized and gave me my card. Awesome guy.)

I stopped in to get something framed for work and talked to John (I think) who I've heard is a…read morefixture there. He's worked there for ages and he's incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He helped me pick a perfect border and frame and had it done for me super quickly. The store is also amazing, they have just about every surface covered in frame samples; you'll never want for more variety, they have you covered. I will say though, it seemed a bit pricey to me, but this is the first time I've ever gotten something framed this way so I'm not exactly the authority on this.
