My husband even commented how they smile at everyone as soon as they enter. The hot food items are cooked from frozen, as there is no kitchen, but that's not a deal breaker. You can enjoy the meal in the comfort of the air conditioned indoors or on the beautifully decorated outside deck under the shade of tables with umbrellas. All in all it was a satisfying hot meal compared to two days of bologna sandwiches and summer sausage. Located less than 20 minutes off Exit 25 in Corbin from I-75, it's an 11 mile trip to the marina and boat ramp.

LCDHD reached out to me via email today and they had been requested by the EEC state department I was in contact with, to immediately shut the beach area down and conduct testing. We were heard. This has only been 3 days since I sent my email, after I had such an amazing and loud response. According to the email I received regarding recreational swimming areas from the state department who oversees to our HD: 902 KAR 10:120. Section 7 is the applicable portion to beaches and explains testing for E. coli. If this is indeed an area that has been sectioned off for swimming then plans need to be submitted to Public Safety Branch to start the process of getting an establishment number and routinely inspected. Why haven't we been testing this area? It was never filed. Oh and there are still people swimming all around it, but our focus was on the beach, I guess water stays in one area. Also our county told the Commonwealth Joirnal that due to stagnant water causing an overgrowth of bacteria that they were closing it. I'm not sure how I feel about that?

Condo was listed as "sleeps 4 with pullout couch". Negative. No pull out couch was there. Also, when seeking food at the dock, the management of the restaurant was absolutely horrible. The staff will ignore you and you will stand and wait to be seated 10-15 mins because nobody wants to seat you or even speak to you. We sat ourselves, then got lectured by the manager as to why you don't do that even after stating that we had not seen a hostess or server come around. After waiting for over an hour after ordering pizza, they tell us they are out of pizzas....when asked "we are hungry so now what?" the server shrugged his shoulders and walked off. We will not be back here and will heavily encourage any of our family/friends to stay away from this marina. It has majorly fallen downhill since Safe Harbor has taken ownership.

I booked the Cumberland Below the Falls Whitewater Rafting trip expecting a real rafting…read moreexperience. Instead, the water was so low that our raft constantly got stuck on rocks, making the trip frustrating, unsafe, and nothing like what was advertised. At the very beginning of the trip, our guide Johnny even told us that the American Whitewater Association recommends a minimum of 400 ft water flow for rafting but that day it was only 250 ft. In other words, they knowingly took customers out in conditions that were below safe standards. When I asked for a refund, the company refused. Instead, they offered me a 50% discount on a future trip in an entirely different state in 2026 which is irrelevant and unacceptable. In their own follow-up email, the company admitted that Johnny was frustrated with the low water levels and that the trip was disappointing. This company clearly cares more about taking your money than providing a good customer experience. If you're looking for a real rafting adventure and a company that values its customers, I strongly recommend booking elsewhere.

The grounds were mowed and kept up well. There's a very nice boat launch right next to the campground. The beach was closed but it is early in the year. There's a park next door with volleyball, picnic shelters etc. The lots are all a fairly good size with great views of Green River Lake Overall wonderful place to stay!!

When we heard new owners took over this year we were extremely excited as the rooms were not great and the water pressure was poor at best. When we checked in this year it was already a mess. An employee had to jump up and look in each window to find an empty room since the room we were told we were in was occupied. After 3 hours we were finally in a room. The rooms were much nicer! The water pressure was amazing! Ok this is looking better. The price increased more than 2x from 2020 to 2021 so we were expecting it to be nicer. The marina is completely redone and great. The new food is perfect. Sadly that is the last positive thing I'm going to have to say. While on our stay we never got a single fresh linen/towel/wash cloth etc. even though we asked for them every day. "Sorry they aren't getting enough clean ones to me" is what the lady in charge of cleaning told us. There were NO blinds/curtains in the entire place. So if you wondering if you are being watched, any of the house boats or any one on the lake could get 11 free shows. This also made sleeping very difficult. We were traveling with two small children and were excited to see they had wifi, helps with rainy day entertainment and night time winding down. It was down the entire time we were there as was the TV. This was not a fun experience especially since cell reception here is non existent. So double the price for no curtains, loud neighbors until 2-3 with paper thin walls, no tv or wifi, and no clean linens. Yeah I'm not thrilled. Now for the main reason for a one star. Chandra. As a business owner myself the one person that is the most important is your manager. The face that people see can makeup for a bad time or make a good time even better. But wow this lady was beyond rude, didn't care at all, and just had no ability to be professional. Told us after we told her what we'd like to see improved "yeah it was a real sh*$ show this year". What?! Not sorry. That and yeah it was busier than we expected are all you can say. They have ZERO organization, they didn't know what rooms were full or not, they attempted to kick out my in laws as they were supposed to check out Saturday (clearly paid through Sunday on all emails sent back to them l), and then had the audacity to say "I'm sick of you people's attitude". We met Brad during our stay and the guy seems nice but he needs to find new help yesterday. We will never be back! I understand people are short staffed and things come up but the lack of professionalism or even common courtesy is something that can't be looked past. Pay over 2x for a better looking room but the worst experience ever.
