Dan was a great guide, and showed us a pretty good time. He was very knowledgeable and his years of experience really showed. Boat was very comfortable and we were blessed with pretty calm waters. Only reason I couldn't give 5 stars was that we didn't get to catch a fish. Dan warned us at the start of the trip that the water was still pretty cold (due to a late start in spring), but thought we might still catch a couple. Even without any fishing action, a great day on the water. Note: Be sure to bring your cash.

Luke is a very young Captain with a great attitude and pretty damn good knowledge of the waters in the Port Washington area. Luke worked hard at putting us on fish and we had a lot of fun with him and he was just a good egg all the way around. Please don't tell him I said that !!! LOL His boat The Ninja was very comfortable with 6 big guys and a captain and handled rough water very well. Speaking for myself and the others, we would not hesitate to recommend Ninja charters and Luke for another adventure!!! Thanks again Luke!!! Caught Chinook/King Salmon, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Coho Salmon. Learned a lot about the history of the lake and more. My husband won the "fish story" of the day after we circled around after a broken line and partially hand reeled then reattached and reeled a salmon back in! We couldn't have done it without their guidance and expertise. They were professional but still fun and lighthearted, attentive but not overbearing, cautious but not overly so. I appreciated their focus on safety and our comfort (we wouldn't have gone too far out if the waves were too choppy or anyone was getting "seasick") and they seemed 100% genuinely dedicated to making sure we had a great trip, from the planning to the fishing to cleaning our fish etc. The boat was beautiful and comfortable, the bathroom and deck were clean and clearly well maintained. The lake was quite calm and we got out an hour later than usual due to miscommunication on our part, but according to other boats, we didn't miss any action. Didn't take too long and we were put on fish as we were fishing away from the masses of boats on free fishing day. We ended up with 8 or 9 for the day but lost at least 10 or 12, no fault of our Captain!!! After calling around to other Captains , they were in the same boat ( no pun intended) and also losing fish either right after hook up or 20 feet from the boat. Frustrating and we gave Rob a lot of crap about it and even checked the hooks ( yes, they were sharp) and it happens to the best!!! After getting back to the Dock and talking to other fishermen at the hotel, we did damn good compared to others!!! The day we went was cold as this spring has been an interesting one so far. Either way it was a good time because we were on the lake and throwing back a few beers with the crew of yahoo's we had on the boat. We didn't catch our limit as we stayed closer inland due to choppy waters. The captain knows what he's doing and fishing Lake Michigan can be exciting when the fish are hitting. I know the Ozaukee Interurban Trail goes MUCH farther than the sections I've explored, so consider…read morethis a review from someone who has only scratched the surface. But from what I've seen, this is a pretty awesome way to get outside, get your steps in, go for a run, or hop on your bike and put some miles behind you. I really like the section through Grafton, especially the part where the trail crosses the Milwaukee River. The bridge is a great little stopping point. You can look down at the river, watch the water moving along, and pretend you're much more outdoorsy than you actually are. For the most part, the trail is nicely paved and smooth. There are some rough spots here and there, but overall it seems like they do a really good job maintaining it. One of my favorite discoveries is on the east side of the river, where you'll see a sign for the Bratt Woods Preserve. There's a nice loop through the woods you can use to get off the pavement and on a nice nature trail. No bikes allowed. But for those of us on foot it winds along the river for a bit and has some benches tucked away where you can stop, sit, and take in the scenery. And yes, you'll probably see some woodland creatures along the way. I've seen all kinds of people using the Interurban Trail: walkers, runners, rollerbladers, and bikers. But one thing I really appreciate is how respectful the traffic tends to be when the trail crosses a busy road. Most drivers I've encountered actually stop and let trail users cross, which makes a big difference. So far, I've only explored as far east as crossing the bridge over Highway 43, so I definitely have more of this trail to discover. And thankfully, you don't have to worry about trying to play leapfrog over Highway 43 to get there. If you're looking for an easy way to get outside in Ozaukee County, this is definitely worth checking out!

A very nice rails-to-trails paved bike trail! Signage is great, and plentiful. Parking along the…read moretrail is easy, and it's an easy ride, alongside a railroad, with native plants, and through the backyards of neighboring villages. We biked the trail a short distance from Brown Deer up to beautiful downtown Cedarburg (5.3 miles one way). It was very nice, and bike racks at the trail head in Cedarburg are plentiful. The trailhead at Brown Deer has several places to get a beverage or bite to eat at: St. Paul Fish Co., Cafe Hollander, Colectivo Coffee, so we ended out our ride with a refreshment. Interurban rails-to-trails projects are typically more rustic than say, County Park Lakefront trails, given that they follow a railroad path. This lovely paved trail follows alongside a railroad, but is not paved over the railroad tracks. I love the rails-to-trails concept, and I look forward to many more rides on the trail!
