I usually don't leave reviews but this is now the third time I've come here. Ive had Wilson do my nails twice and both times I've gone he's seemed in a hurry, or bothered when I would ask questions. This go around I asked for acrylic as my natural nails kept breaking, which by the way is $50 already with an additional $10 for gel and then $10 more for french tip, so in total $70.. He seemed to be rushing and when he was grabbing powder I noticed he was grabbing alot, figured he would just thin them out once he shaped and buffed my nails, he in fact did not. I chose to not say anything as I already felt I was bothering him. Yet, I also went in for a pedicure which is also $50 to come out with subpar toe nails at best. The lady was sweet so I will not give her name as she did try to make my experience great. But I do believe they could both go about getting some more training as I walked out paying $120, with a charge of 5.60 for paying with my card... On Willis, a street of back to back nail salons this really stands out for its size alone! Clean and hygiene are my priority and this is spot on. The place, stations are nice and near and technicians are well groomed. What I love about this place is how big it is and I would say even tasteful. James, a handsome man in glasses, did my pedicure to perfection. A varied menu of treatments are available and al affordably priced, and still get a full spa feel. Plenty of colores on the carousel to choose from and gels has all the latest nail fantasies. I don't use any of those chems on myself but I can appreciate they exist. This is my go-to nail salon, even after moving to CA! I visited NY in March and hadn't gotten my nails done in months due to the pandemic. My friend and I spontaneously decided to get our nails done so we didn't make an appointment, but were seated immediately. All of the customers were seated at every other station, with nail techs wearing masks and face shields, and a clear divider separating them from the customer. Needless to say, we felt safe. Proceeds to do my nails, puts the 2 on that I was missing & uses the SMALLEST amount of acrylic on them. They basically look like a bent diving board & are super thin! After she does them, they were so bumpy & crooked I asked if she could fix it. The response I got was "I'm not finished.." Might I add she was huffing & puffing the ENTIRE time & complaining that her arm was hurting. 2 hours later, after a fill in, I go to pay & literally got robbed. $57 for a ******** fill in, Really? & $57 for a nail that peeled less than 24 hours after i got them done? I went to this place and Vivian was sooooooo mean and Rude to me. I asked them if they can do a design and they said they can and they would charge me 15 dollars extra from the usually powder gel manicure. They were super impatient and complaining the whole time and they did it wrong and when I politely told them, they said I'm too fussy. They were not doing the design for free, they were charging extra but made it seem like they are doing me a favour. The guy who did it 'Wilson' did my pedicure too and I told him to make my nails shorter and he said "No!!". I said I have ingrown toe nails so they hurt, but he said he can't do it and was mad. The vibe was so bad. My friends who came with me were running 10 mins late and they gave them a hard time too. I would understand if they politely said "Sorry we can't do it because your late" but they were extremely rude. One friend had to leave and the other was put in another corner and when we said we booked a nail spa day together and can we please sit next to each other, he outright rudely said No and got mad.They did a very messy job also and said your very fussy at everything. However, the reason I am giving them 3/5 stars is because of their customer service. My friends and I felt very rushed. We were not given a couple of seconds to settle in. I didnt even get a chance to take off my jacket! My friend wanted to try the powder nail manicure, and they didn't even give her a chance to look through the colors and take a couple of minutes to choose. They just rushed the whole process. One MAJOR feedback I have for this business to be more competitive in its space is to open up a fresh set of tools in front of the customer. I love it when nail salons use a fresh tool packet for each customer like a nail filer, nail cutter and nail cuticle cutter. I saw the woman use open tools on me and then put it right back in her drawer WITHOUT sanitizing or cleaning it. So i got the USED tools. Ugh, makes me want to gag. I have been coming here for years. Today I was taken by surprise because they now are charging patrons the 4% credit card charge when using their credit card. During the pandemic they were open and busy. Prices have gone up everywhere and to add this on now has me rethinking going back. I highly recommend C&C! It is a really nice salon very clean and calm ambiance. Pricing is pretty normal for the area but if you want a deal I'd recommend their packages which are very well priced. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is parking can be a little hard it's either street or a small lot shared with the clothing store. read more

Got the powder gel done by Christine ! She was amazing and a perfectionist when it came to my cuticles and shape I asked for. I got these done a week ago and they still look great. Prices are good and definitely worth it. I made an appt and as soon as I walked in I was seated everyone was extremely nice, the place was so clean and nice on the inside as well. I gave this salon a few tries. While the salon is aesthetically pleasing, the services are not so great. The pedicures are not thorough. They basically soak your feet and the sloppily polish. The gel manicures are rushed, sloppy and start lifting off after 2 days. For nails and feet they do not push back and clip cuticles. A third manager has arrived on the scene that has brought total disorganization and overall frenetic energy that even the staff is talking about. She seems super sweet but she's always flustered and literally runs around the place, which is distracting and puts everyone on edge. The quality of the service and cleanliness has also gone down since she started. Appointments seem to be double-booked and stacked on top of each other only for the place to be virtually empty 45 minutes later - which was weird since I asked for an appointment around then but was told to come earlier. My technician had just started someone else's pedicure as I walked in a few minutes before my appointment which led to my service starting 40 minutes late. They also did away with their admittedly overly generous loyalty rewards. It had been that you'd get $10 for every $100 spent. They did away with it last month and replaced it with... nothing. While the original staff is still great the newcomers aren't as keen to please or listen. I was hoping everything would even out. After being a loyal customer since they opened I'm definitely bummed at the new normal here and will have to start looking for a new place. read more

Gel manicure painful!!! I had no polish on prior to my appointment, nails were bare. Went for gel manicure. She used the electric filer on all my nails before manicure, on the entire nail, which in her mind is maybe to smooth the nail out before manicure? but it THINS the entire nail. Didn't have a problem with that although it was unnecessary, until I accidentally hit my left hand into the glass divider between me and tech and smudged one nail. The nail tech was so abrasive after that, she proceeded to remove all the polish on my left hand even non - smudged ones, and took off the gel with the electric filer again. My left hand is in so much pain from the thinness of my nails after being filed down twice by the electric thing :( read more

I just can't win with this place. Next time I decide to come, I should stick with the best guy, James. I've never had a problem with him. Great guy and fantastic work. I decided to get a regular French manicure (no gel) so I made an appointment for later in the day. The place was nearly empty. I've always appreciated how well maintained the salon is. Well I was given the nail tech Lily...and that's where all the problems started. As soon as I sat down, she told me that it costs 17.00. I told her that I'm well aware of the cost because I've been there before. She did a shoddy job with cleaning around the nail bed as I had to tell her a few times to clean around certain nails. I guess she was thoroughly annoyed because she didn't even give me a basic massage when she finished. Just plain rude and lastly, please try to speak English when you're around customers. Oh and as a general critique of the nail salon...you have got to be kidding with your new 4% charge for all credit/debit cards. You have already raised your prices considerably since I've been coming here the last 4 years. I completely understand why you raised them after Covid, but this is a bit much. I've been going to this place since it opened. It's been ok but basically convenient. Today was the last straw. I got a powder gel manicure that I have been getting for months, this time the manicurist cut my 3 fingers with the emery board to the point that they were bleeding. Then when I was leaving & paying for mine & my daughters mani & pedi I advised the lady at the front desk what occurred and showed my fingers. I advised the lady has to be more careful. She told me what my cost was . I sent my daughter to the car and said I told you she cut my fingers and your charging me full price. I went to c&c for the first time yesterday. At first it seemed like the perfect salon so I will start with the pros. Everyone was very nice and there were a ton if powder gel options! However upon starting my manicure, my technician completely messed up the shape of my nails, I had to take the file and fix them myself. She then continued to file so hard that I bled in 2 places and a day later my fingers are still in pain. She also left a mess under my nails I had to pick for hours to clean them up. I expected the owner to give me some sort of consolation or compensation seeing as my nails were bleeding and so messy underneath and on my finger tips but she did nothing for me.
