NT indicated that they were happy to help, and it was easy to book a timely appointment with Nate, the owner. He arrived when he was expected, and did a great job getting us up and running. He is also a really nice person, and it was a pleasure meeting him. Prices are fair, and he provides a warranty for his work. This review is long overdue, but very much deserved…read more Short version: I would 100% recommend purchasing an appliance from Nate at Afterlife Appliances. Price is fair, service is unparalleled, applicance has worked wonderfully for a year with 0 issues. Would purchase from again. Long Version: We moved into a rental in North Auburn in March of 2022 that did not have a washer and dryer. The landlord had hookups for them, but we would have to get the units through at least 4 doorways, some closet sized (unusually small) and we were on a strict budget. I heard about Afterlife Appliances and contacted Nate. I told him I wanted something that actually cleaned clothes, would fit through funky dimensions, and would not break. I wanted something basic, no frills, and if it had any issues I could YouTube the fix. Nate had a set come in of an older model that fit all those needs, but was going to be a tight fit for the one doorway (turns out we would need a newer and speciality small sized one to fit through the tiny door without taking it apart), but Nate said he would make it work, and gave me a list of anything I may need since he knew we just moved in and everything was a bit of a mess. I paid for delivery and he was right on time with the cleaned and checked out machines. He actually took apart one of the machines so we could get it into the room we needed, and then put it all back together again inside the room. After he left we hooked everything up and I smelled propane within the week. I called Nate and he came out the next day with his servicing kit. It turns out we did not hook the propane up just right (our fault, not Nates or the machine) and he helped us hook it up right. We lived in that rental for a year, and the machines were ran multiple times a week and worked wonderfully. We just moved out of our rental and our landlord purchased the machines from us once he knew how hard it would be for newer renters to get other machines in. I was actually reluctant to sell them because of how reliable they had been, but we did not need them now. Randomly throughout the last year I have said to my husband that I need ro write a review for Nate, but never did. But if we ever end up in Auburn or around there again, I will first go to Nate based off his great communication when we purchased, professionalism, the way he came out when there was a problem (my fault), and the reliability of our machines from him. Thank you Nate, for saving me many laundry mat trips and getting me exactly what I wanted.

Sos told us that sometimes that code can mean a simpler problem, so we made an appointment. When he got to my house he looked up the code on his cell phone (as did I) he said the code ment we needed a new drain hose....for a dryer. We reminded him that the unit was a DRYER not a washer. He then told us what we told him before he came out, it needed a new control board. He did not look at the dryer, he only looked at his phone, using the dryer to prop his elbow on so he could hold his head up while he did it. Never pushed a botton, never used a tool, never opened the dryer door, nothing! He then told me that the part would take weeks to get in, and it would cost hundreds. That I should just get a new dryer, he also added that I shouldn't worry about it matching my washer because he was sure my guests were not going to see them and nobody cares if they match. Total time spent in my house was no more than 10 minutes, he literally did nothing and charged me $70 for the service call. That same day I ordered the part and had it overnighted, total cost $144.84. I installed the part myself in 15 minutes and my dryer works!
