My new fave This is totally one of the best spots in Macon…read moreto hang out. They have a super huge beer selection on tap (duh) and the pizza's I've ordered have been amazing. On my stops they have been very busy on the weekend but pizza came out in about 20-30 minutes. Portion size is great with leftovers for lunch. Service is friendly and there is lots of seating inside and out. Love the atmosphere. Definitely a spot to check out if you're in town!

Gone are the fully stocked shelves of merchandise and Georgia beers and wines. Gone are the board games and shuffle board and outdoor games. It reminds me now more of a place for a book club to come and and enjoy a beer before debating the meaning of a leaf in a book. The food is still delicious. It's what I come for. Can't go wrong with Artisan pizza or their quesadillas. I also love the charcuterie board. And they now have non-alcoholic drinks as well. Just be warned if you like unsweetened tea, they don't have any sweetener. Will I return? Of course. They've been around for a decade and it's always been a favorite with a good location. Perfect place as well to start the Christmas lights extravaganza.

Despite being right outside the door, I was unable to Check In (hmm)…read more First visit here in 3 years, 4 days (LoL; I usually use InstaCart for groceries). Today's visit was to try their Fried Chicken (not many reviews to be found, and the few weren't about this store. So, fingers Xed), and get some beer (having pizza for dinner tonight; yum). Though, this is the first time that I'm having my go-to beer in this type of container. While they had everything I needed, the staff wasn't as friendly as my last visit. And, the chicken, at $15.99/8 pieces, is, imo, on the expensive side. They do sell a lot of it, as there was 2 large, heaping, trays of it. Will update the review for both on the 4th (already have potato salad, mac & cheese, biscuits and baked beans on hand), or there abouts.

This is the kind of place I love to find when I'm on vacation…read more We were on a side trip to Macon and found Tropical Flava on Yelp. We walked in right at noon. Every table had a lilly centerpiece with full place settings, it gave off a nice vibe. My wife had the fried fish and I had the jerk chicken. The fish was tender and fresh. My jerk chicken had a great flavor, just enough spice and the rice/beans were the perfect compliment. If we were locals, we'd be frequent visitors.

I ordered a steak quesadilla and some French fries while we were watching the concert. They gave us a little pager so we would know when to come back and pick up our food. Our order took about 10 minutes at the most. The order of fries was much bigger than I expected and they were fresh and seasoned nicely. The steak quesadilla was also very good. It had a lot of good flavor in the steak and it was pretty full of meat and cheese. It was just what we needed while we had a couple beers and watched a concert.

Unfortunately, not only do they NOT have Holiday Meals, they don't even have a Deli. :-( Since I didn't stop here for shopping, I can't say anything for, or against, the Customer Service. But, in walking in on mid, to late, Saturday morning, I did notice that they had a decent crowd. And, that most of the registers were open. 8-) In walking around the store, it is a clean store. But, for a "Depot" (think good prices), I was surprised to see that the many of the prices on stuff I use, were equal to, or even higher, than what I pay at other places. I didn't check the beer prices. So, I can't confirm the other poster's comment. But, they do have a small corner of the store for the beer. Perhaps, on my next shopping trip, I'll check the place out a bit more closely. Especially, since this store is the closest one to me.

Pending pickup by Customer (though, knowing this, I'll try it, as it's cheaper than using InstaCart). And, rather than going with my alternative beer, Coors Light, I decided to give, Bush Light in the Bottle, a try. However, upon the cashier trying to ring it up, it wasn't in the system. So, there was about a 3 minute delay, while the clerk had to look it up, and enter the price manually. It's been ages (40+ years) since I've had a Bush beer. And, I believe, this will be my first time drinking Bush Light. So, definitely hoping it is comparable to my preferred ones (fingers Xed).
