But, for a "Depot" (think good prices), I was surprised to see that the many of the prices on stuff I use, were equal to, or even higher, than what I pay at other places. I didn't check the beer prices. So, I can't confirm the other poster's comment. But, they do have a small corner of the store for the beer. Or at least meet these wonderful farmers at the Milledgeville Farmers Market every Saturday (seasonal)- they help run the show. Chelsea, Bobby, and their family (including the pets) are a delight! After taking just a few minutes to learn about their journey, you already begin to really see the passion they have for their farm. I've known these two since college, and I'm so proud of all that they've created. The farm itself is about 25 minutes outside Milledgeville in Gordon, Ga. An ever growing business, they recently began to add livestock (such as sheep) to their property. At any given time, you can find lots of happy hustle and bustle happening there- whether it be in the summer time fields or winter greenhouse. Chelsea and Bobby also strive to create and sustain community. Apart from helping to run the market, they host events at their farm and often present at conferences all over Atlanta. If I wasn't so far away (Atlanta), I would certainly subscribe to a CSA from Babe + Sage. For now, I do love the occasional volunteer day- highly recommend that as well. Check it out and I'm sure you'll feel the hard work and passion from the second your feet hit the farm soil.
