Our last night in Quebec City, we dined at BŌ Cuisine d'Asie, right next to Le Capitole Hotel. We kicked things off with the BEEF TATAKI: beet salad, cilantro, and nam jim sauce. That sauce was the real star--don't shy away from the raw beef! It was a must-try for sure, earning a solid 9/10. Next up were the TEMPURA SHRIMPS (3 pcs): krupuk chips, Québec seaweed emulsion, and wakame salad. While these were a bit more batter than shrimp, I think that's the point! The sauce balanced it out nicely. I'd give these a 7/10. The SALMON SASHIMI was one of the best dishes of the night. The sauce added an amazing flavor that really elevated the fresh raw salmon dish. Easily a 9/10 for this one! For dumplings, we got the BEEF GYOZA: wagyu, ginger, cabbage, green onions, and soy sauce. I prefer my gyozas crispier, but the flavors were spot on. A tasty 7/10. For the main dishes, we had the TERIYAKI SCALLOPS: maple-glazed, crispy rice, fried seaweed, spicy cream sauce, and red caviar. These were incredible--so fresh and perfectly balanced. I loved everything about them, and they deserved a 9/10. The highlight of the night was definitely the GENERAL TAO CHICKEN: fried grain-fed chicken breast, marinated with sesame and topped with Tao sauce, pan-fried veggies, and Québec organic camelina seeds. This dish was perfection and an absolute must-order, a well-deserving 10/10! For dessert, we had the MANGO CARAMEL & CHOCOLATE BAO: fried bao with chocolate-caramel ganache and mango kombucha sorbet. If you've never had a dessert bao, now's your chance! It was a warm, chocolaty pillow of love that paired so well with the mango. A delicious 9/10 to wrap up the meal! Overall: 9/10 for the food, 5/10 for affordability (not very budget-friendly but the quality is there), and 9/10 for ambiance. I loved the chic blue velvet vibes here! read more

Just in front, along the old fortress walls of Quebec City is this fusion Asian bistro. I've acknowledged that there are not many unique and authentic Asian mainstays in Quebec City "YET" but this establishment tries its best to accommodate the flavors. We've tried the dim sum dumplings, kungpao chicken and different fusion dishes. I'll stick to more common dishes for better flavors and tastes. The kitchen tried I've acknowledged that but it's missing something? I don't know where to put a finger on it. It's just missing something. But overall if you're craving some Asian dishes and are near old town Quebec City this is a must. read more

My family and came here for an early dinner. We started with three apps. The wagyu dumplings, sea bass carpaccio and sashimi were all very good. Then I shared the pork three ways. I liked the char shiu, the round shredded meat, didn't love the third style. My family liked the pad thai although the pork was a little burnt. Still tasted good. We also had bao and cheesecake dessert which was a nice way to end the meal. We'd come back again. read more

13 trips to Quebec city and this restaurant tops the list as the best. Service was 100% perfect. Each course was served by the chef and was explained. The ingredients were fresh and top quality. Each course was delectable yet healthy. After 5 courses, we left feeling satisfied but not overstuffed. The noise level is perfect, they have a high quality sound system playing contemporary jazz. All tables are roomy and spaced far from each other. If you can't get a table reservation, the bar is comfortable. They have a chefs table on the backside of the bar. The cocktails and coffee was also perfect! Bo opened up in 2021 and has yet to make it on the list of Quebec City's best of. If the popular restaurants are booked up, try BO. They are very busy and could not fit us in early so sent us the The Cubby next door, LOVED IT. I did the 4 course that started with a lovely tuna sashimi, a mushroom salad, wagyu steak and spicey Ramen noodles. Hubby had basic Ramen soup that seemed average. Great atmosphere, very hip and modern. I would go back but you need a reservation. read more

This restaurant is in Le Capitol Hotel. The service is amazing as is the food. The prawns were perfect, asian beef, halibut and scallops. All were amazing. I would recommend reservations. read more

Nice atmosphere but the food was pricey and not great. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees to share. Two of our entrees were unbelievably salty!! It was the seafood pancake and pad Thai were inedible because of the salt. The wait for our appetizers was really long, but our server was pleasant. read more

We were here for lunch on a Thursday. Food is tasty and inventive. Service a bit snobby-waiter offered me wine and my husband a beer. What if I wanted a beer? Strange. Prices are ridiculous for what you get. $20 and I got one scallop sliced very thin. A bowl of rice is $9. Prepare to order and pay a lot if you are hungry. Service is fast as all food is served cold. I don't need to eat huge portions but the $20 proteins were really small. I felt that $75 for a lunch for two was steep for what you get. But, it is very tasty. I just felt ripped off. And I ordered the tiger shrimp ceviche and was served scallop which was not even on menu. Probably an issue of translation. I am mixed on this as to if I would return. read more

Welcoming atmosphere topped with great service and delicious food makes this place a must try! Decided to check this place out for dinner and it was beyond expectations. My boyfriend and I were very pleased with our server who knew the menu, including wines and sakes very well. He was also extremely attentive. Ok so Asian fusion gets a bad rap most of the time, not this one. Our hotel recommended Bo as an alternative to some take out Chinese dump. What a great suggestion. The restaurant is very hip with techno music playing. We decided it could have been in any big city. Very modern vibe to the whole place. The menu is quite different from anything we had experienced, somewhat limited. Do not let that put you off. Very heavy reliance on duck. We opted for the pre-fixe Ped menu. It was amazing. It had aubergine and sweet potatoes and kimchi. The preparation was delicious. The duck breast satay and buns were both excellent. We also had nems. Look it up I cannot do everything for you. My friends had the udon noodles with shrimp and lobster. She said it was just as good. The duck with pancakes was also deemed worth of ordering again.
