The restaurant name is actually Little Bún MAS, sister location to Bún Bar and Little Bún Theater. We were disappointed after walking a mile to Bún Bar to find out they were closed. Luckily this location was open. The food is handmade fresh to order. The tofu carpaccio was packed with authentic flavors and spices. The chef is very keen to bring transitional Vietnam way to cook pho to here. I saw him using bamboo braised spoon to cook the pho which is the exact tool I saw in Vietnam. Also the taste is good. This is BY FAR the best culinary experience I've had in Antwerp so far. Starting from the service, all the way to the awesome soul filling food, this place is ridiculously good. I live around the corner so it was a matter of time until I tried this little Vietnamese restaurant. The owner was quite welcoming. We sat outside and ordered a couple Vietnam Beers. Let me add that for a lager, that was pretty good. As a starter, we had the sun-dried squid with home-made Sriracha. It was amazing. We ate it super fast and then our main dishes came. I don't recall the name, but I had rice noodles (delicious) with a filet of fish fried with some herbs and ginger. Unbelievably good. I added a small, dry Sambal-like sauce to the noodles and as suggested by the owner, broke the fish in pieces and added it to the noodles. I seriously dream of that fish. I must add that with every plate, there's a little history by the owners. They explain every plate and suggest the form of eating. You can tell right away that they really care for the food they're serving. It's just admirable. Please please come to this place and experience some amazing Vietnamese "Street Food" as they call it. After 1.5h driving for both me and a friend, we arrived at Antwerpen specially for the pho bo in this restaurant. We went there with high expectation. However, the experiment was rather disappointing: 1. The service: not good, the waiter (or owner) saw us skipped the appetite and went directly for the pho bo, she directly turned to the not very happy face and insisted that it has to be a large size pho bo as the medium size is definitely not enough. So we went for the advice and it turned out the large size bowl is bigger than my face and full of noodles. 2. The taste: most famous pho bo was extremely salty for me, lots of mint taste, lots of soy beans, for an Asian who loves noodle, it is just beef noodle and the tasty is way to salty, I had 3L of water after dinner. The deep fried coconut ball is just too much sugar sweet - not nature fresh taste. 3. The atmosphere is ok, restaurant is small (~13 seats) and full of customers at 5:45pm. But I think this is just a commercial / business strategy because sometimes the more people wait, the better they think the restaurant is. 4. The price: as said in #1, the waitress (or owner) recommended a big size pho bo to me (42kg, skinny) because it is 4 euros more expensive. So I think the place is just about money. It is pricey from my taste: 5 euros for a drink, ~10 euros for an entry. Price for pho bo has been raised from 12 to 14 euros for a medium size and 18 euros for a large size (beef noodle). A coconut ball desert is 6 euros for a small portion. 5. It's a disappointing experience. This place is all about money. Will not choose to go there again! PS: we only got 1 tiny plate of fried stuff (free) for 2 people as opening after we ordered (which I don't like the taste anyways), maybe the owner was not happy that we skipped appetite although it was a meal costed 47 euros (for vietnamese street food: 1 glass of tea, 2 bowls of salty beef noodles and 1 sugar sweet coconut ball). read more

This is a small restaurant in central Antwerp that specialises in Vietnamese street food. They start off by giving you a nice warm towel to clean your hands. We had rice noodles with deep fried Brasvar pork rolls, curry chicken skewers, and sundried squid. It was very flavourful and not too heavy. The owner and chef, was very friendly and us an in-depth description of everything. Seating is limited and they don't take reservations so it's not a place for large gathers but perfect if it's one or two of you walking by. read more

Delicious - everything I had was outstanding! Bùn serves fancy Vietnamese street food. The restaurant is small and intimate. I think it can only house 12 people at a time, so make sure you have a reservation! Because you're with so few diners, you really have an opportunity to talk with the chefs and make the best choices. My husband and I split two starters: street corn and shrimp summer rolls, and both enjoyed bowls of pho bo for our main course. Can't wait to go back! As a Vietnamese living in Europe, I have moments of craving for my country's food and often seek for ratification at Bun. Fresh herbs, nice food presentation, cozy atmosphere and friendly service - something very typical home for me. I would call this a clean version of our street food, even though the menu is a bit pricey. However, given its central location, I would still recommend this place as the better version of Vietnamese food, something rare to have in Antwerp. read more

Small restaurant with small menu. Taste is great though. Starter was a dried pork sausage with Vietnamese herbs and fresh coriander leaves. Main dishes were one of the phô soups with tofu and all that stuff which was well blended with homemade Sambal Oelek as well as a rice noodle dish with sliced fried fish balls and a lot of fresh herbs. This restaurant is rather small but it makes the foods they serve to be always in a good quality. The service was also really nice. We love the spring roll and the oyster so much. The prok rice noodles was also great. A little tip if you want to have dinner after 8, it's better to reserve the place beforehand or otherwise you will hardly get a place there. A small, clean, and friendly atmosphere await you when you step into this Vietnamese gem! The owners are a couple (her from Vietnam and him from Belgium). A beautiful street art inspired mural decorates the wall behind the eating bar. They have imported Vietnamese beer and a selection of fresh juices and teas. The food is SUPURB. Huibrecht, the chef, has been to Vietnam frequently and has brought back with him a plethora of recipes which he has made his own while still keeping the Vietnamese traditions alive. My colleague and I are in town and decided that the damp day called for some good warming pho. This place did not disappoint! The serving was enormous (we got the large, but it got the better of us). The broth was flavorful, the noodles perfect, and the beef was tender and delicious. The server was very knowledgable about the food and I observed sharing the same information in English, French, and Flemish. My friend got the Vietnamese coffee, which she enjoyed very much. I had the white wine from Slovenia, which was lovely and a perfect pairing for the pho. As others have mentioned, this place is small. Based on the reviews, we zipped over at about 5:45pm and were immediately seated. However, it filled up almost immediately. A good sign that the food is sure to please!
