It was light and refreshing, yet not overlay rich. It was perfect for a hot summer day. They are known for their luxemburgerli but it was during the heat wave when we went and it was so hot that I wasn't in the mood for anything too sugary so I didn't get any to try which I really regret and would love to try them out next time I'm in town. Service was quite slow. We waited for over 15mins before we were seated even though there's tables available. And no one came to acknowledge us during that time as well. Next time when I return, I would probably opt to just pick up some luxemburgerli to go unless you're very tired and just want to find a place to sit down and rest.

We went with one sweet and one savory. The pretzels were EPIC. I am a pretzel connoisseur, eating everything from frozen to freshly baked and molded by hand, like these beauties were. The texture was good, straddling the fine line between chewy and soft. There was flavor there and I honestly was in heaven. My partner chose a berry tart which was tart and flaky but not too sweet and the berries would make any bear drool. If you can, get here. It's so, so good.

OMG best bretzels ever!!!…read more We were on our way to the train station and wanted a quick bite so we picked up some bretzels from this bakery. They were soooooo good!!! The store is very small; it's a grab and go place. They have a variety of breads and pastries and they also have coffee. The lady behind the counter was very sweet. The prices were reasonable; it was about 3 CHF each. We got the butter bretzel and the almond one and we ate them so quickly that I forgot to take pictures. They were THAT good and one was definitely not enough. I've never had anything like the almond bretzel before--it was out of the world. We'll have to get more later. Highly recommended!

Yelp Review 2023 #22:…read more Läderach is one of my favorite chocolatiers in the whole world. I eat chocolate everyday, and I travel the world sampling chocolates. I've been to Belgium which some say has the best chocolate. I've been to France, Italy, UK, Germany, Finland, and Ecuador - they do have some good chocolate. But I will always want Swiss chocolate. There are three chocolatiers in Switzerland that I love. I like Läderach because they don't overcomplicate their combinations. And they give you free samples. You can buy boxes of chocolates, truffles by the bag, chocolate slabs by the gram. My favorites are the chocolate with whole hazelnut slabs, and chocolate cornflake slabs. They have a nice selection of chocolate + hazelnut so I get a box of those in different varieties. This particular location is at the Central Station which is convenient. There is another Läderach outside Central Station. Whichever location you go to, you can expect the same great experience and some of the finest chocolates that will ever touch your mouth.

This place has some excellent dark and white chocolate in addition to the traditional milk. You can get a huge variety of truffles, or they have slabs of chocolate with various inclusions like candied oranges, blackberry, roasted hazelnuts or almonds, or even some more exotic varieties with things like pink peppercorns or pistachios. The people at Läderach pride themselves on FRESHNESS, so I wouldn't recommend overbuying. Not that it was much of a problem for us: the first bag was gone within a day, so we had to plan a return trip before we left the country and quadrupled our "pilot" purchase. If you need to spend those extra CHF before you leave out, there are worse things to spend it on... just be sure to stay under the duty free limit :D

We were a bit disappointed by the options for breakfast at all but one of the paninis was already gone when we got there, though the one that remained--the Poulet Curry--was quite good. My struggles with European coffee continued with their latte macchiato but the cinnamon roll was quite good. We explored the chocolate floor as well but because we were on our way to Lindt, did not buy any so I cannot comment on if it was any good or not.

Their chocolates aren't the best but also not the worst - not as bad as American chocolate. They hail from Lucerne. This shop has two floors: first floor has ready-to-eat food: cookies, cupcakes, cake slices, and sandwiches. The first floor is busy and chaotic. The second floor is where you'll find chocolates and their chocolate wall. It's the only reason I came here. I wasn't planning on buying a lot of chocolate from here. They copied Sprüngli's Luxemburgerli. They didn't even change the name.
