I ran my first marathon a couple years ago, and despite finishing, I just wasn't strong. I'm in my mid-40s, and I knew strength was the missing link in my weekly workouts. The Studio's Inferno Hot Pilates classes are my ticket to stronger running. They've fun, upbeat, blast great music, the instructors are energizer bunnies, and my core is significantly stronger after three months of classes. I'm not crushing these workouts, but I'm sticking with it. It's easy to sign up and cancel classes. I have to admit I was skeptical of the "hot" in "hot pilates." Why does it have to be hot? There's a LOT of sweating. I'm still not loving the heat in the yoga classes, but hot pilates is awesome. read more

I have been going to BYUV for a year and a half and I keep growing with this place - both mentally, spiritually, and physically. The instructors care about you and are top notch in their field. I started out doing Inferno Hot Pilates and now am a regular student of Original Hot Yoga. The warmth of the room has been a plus for me in these New England winters but more importantly, my lower back is stronger, I am gaining flexibility, and I get to continue working on my balance. Very nice people. I'm used to yoga studios with hardwood floors and ventilation so if you don't mind doing yoga in a carpeted room and feeling like a sardine in a room of almost naked people sweating buckets, then this is for you. My husband spent most of the session in child's pose and walked out looking traumatized, so it's not for the new yogi. The instructor was very robotic, which seems anti-yoga. But again, very nice people and the small room was packed. If they could get hard wood floors, better ventilation, a bigger space and more dynamic instructors, I would go again. read more

This is a Bikram yoga studio. And it's great! It can be crowded - as many Bikram studios are across the nation. There's a lot if sweating and great positive energy. Meagan is great, always upbeat and helpful. The great feeling of accomplishing this class is priceless. I highly recommend this studio!! read more

Had the opportunity to take the Inferno Hot Pilates at Bikram Yoga Upper Valley this morning. While traveling I always try and find a Bikram studio. This studio was clean, easy to find, super friendly staff and students! I love the Bikram (26&2) but the addition of the hot pilates is a great compliment. Outstanding studio. Check it out for sure. Excellent for beginners and experienced as well. Definitely will be back when I'm in the area! Also they have showers... nice luxury after super sweaty classes! read more

A disciplined studio run with heart. This location feels more like a home than a work out environment. I have been coming for several months (after stumbling upon it one Saturday morning when my son was taking the SAT) and joined immediately. The studio is run by two sisters who are supremely well trained, knowledgable, motivated and have collected a top-notch roster of dedicated instructors. You can work-out in a focused fashion or take it easy if that what you can handle. Note: this yoga is administered in the scripted Bikram style and is different from vinyasa style. All levels welcome and it is a terrific mental and physical challenge. Even though all teachers at the school use the same script in each 90-minute Bikram class, each has her own personalities and every class is an opportunity for something new. The inferno hot pilates classes here have been my back's saving grace. Not only do I highly enjoy the workout, the music, the community and the instructors...I enjoy less time experiencing low back pain or worrying about the state of my back. My chiropractor has been pleased with the progress I've made and the strength/flexibility I've regained. read more

I'm a huge fan of this studio! The instructors are wonderful, the studio is large and clean, and there's plenty of parking. If you don't have a mat or towel (like me the first time!) they have both available to rent. There's a great sense of community here, as many of the students know each other and call out greetings as they arrive, and they make everybody feel welcome. The yoga itself is challenging, but I came to the studio for the first time with no yoga experience at all and barely able to bend over and touch my knees. The instructors lead the class rather than practicing along with the students, so I felt safer knowing that somebody was always keeping an eye on me. If you're looking for a gret workout, a new challenge, or an amazing stress reliever, this is the place for you! read more

I do Bikram everywhere I can; this place has the best floor surface I have experienced. They put down a hard rubber floor which is clearly easy to keep clean and disinfected. The teachers are upbeat and encouraging and it is obvious that they love what they do. The schedule offers plenty of options for practice and they recently added hot Pilates to the mix of classes. The hot Pilates is an hour long, which is better for me some days, and getting your sweat on is not a problem! With plenty of parking and right off of Interstate 91, there is little sweat in getting there. All the sweat happens in the hot room. Love this place! read more

I have done a tone of hot yoga classes, I love to sweat and I always feel good. My problem comes 30 min. into the class when they've got that awful massage parlor music quietly playing in the background and they are telling me to find my center. I am too damn ADD for meditation I just want to work out. This place is totally different! Supper high energy, especially the Pilates class! The soundtrack is Kenye West and Beyonce, the instructor is skipping around the room helping people with their poses and yelling out motivation, I had just come off an ankle injury so she made sure to give me a modified version of every pose and excersize. At the end of class I was thinking "It's already been an hour???" The place is also very clean, they have lockers and showers, it doesn't have that sweaty hot yoga smell, and you can do an intro package of 30 days of unlimited classes for $30 to try it out. They give student discounts and if you sign up for a package during your 30 days you get an additional discount. Too bad my assignment is over and I'm moving away. This was my favorite class I've ever been to. read more

Take it easy at first and build stability and flexibility. Take it up a notch to build muscle and stamina. This studio has friendly knowledgeable teachers who get to know you as an individual. Go once a week for a great addition to your other sports or many times a week for your whole workout routine. Highly recommended! read more
