From the beginning I should've known that the school is not a reputable school. They are worried about taking your money right away before giving you a curriculum or even a tour of the school. The classroom I was personally in fits 3 people and the equipment used to taught the course was all non functional. The first day was a mandatory CPR course (which i get why you need in the medical field) but all it was was showing us a video that asked us to follow the video with a dummy that we did not have. When Dr. Raymond came back in the room he taught the most basic cpr instructions on a a gross looking dummy for about 10 minutes. The classrooms were full of old unusable equipment and photos of students from the early 2000's. I learned everything straight from the book/the internet on my own. Dr. Raymond's lectures are about 10 minutes long (if you're lucky) where he says nonsensical things or reads straight from the book. I asked him questions countless times and was left more confused than before as it was like he didn't know what he was talking about. He accidentally left me a voicemail talking trash about his students with the other teacher(his wife) and how students all think they know everything. At the end of my course I took my test in person and in writing(not electronically) and did not hear back anything about my results. I finally called and was answered by a rude receptionist saying she was sure she sent me the link to my certificate. Dr. Raymond did not offer me job placement even though I made sure to ask when I signed up if that's something they did. His wife assured me that they did. Instead I got a call from him offering to pay me $9 an hour to teach his EKG course for 2 hours a day, 2 days a week. (So a whopping $36 a week to teach others things I barely learned on my own) TLDR: do not go here if you want a real education. If you want to pay to go sit in a gross outdated classroom, read straight from a book everyday, and listen to the Doctor take personal phone calls while sitting in class with you trying to read about what he's about to "lecture" you on then this is the place! Also beware and ask about ALL THE FEES. As the test is not included, nor is CPR.

The instructor Allistor, was a wonderful teacher, and answered all of our questions. He was extremely patient and thoroughly identified different methods to locate veins. He also explained how to poke and draw blood using different needle gauges. Allistor was definitely a team leader and I genuinely enjoyed this course.. I was encouraged to read both the Phlebotomy Third Edition book and also the Phlebotomy Quick Study flyer. Highly Recommend taking this program!

This place wasn't within walking distance like our first choice, The EConsortium Group. But the 5-min bus ride and 8-min walk made Hybrid Solutions a solid second choice. No one wants to deal with Houston Metro (barf) before having to take an exam. On April 12 at 11:01pm, we got emails from Pearson VUE saying we needed to reschedule because Hybrid Solutions Training & Testing Center cancelled our exams on their end. Because this was the second cancellation for the same exam (albiet at a different testing center company), we decided to go to 7457 Harwin Dr. Ste. 312 on April 13 to speak with someone in-person. When we arrived about 20 minutes before 9:30am, the time we'd scheduled our exams. Hybrid Solutions hadn't even opened. There was contact information on the door, so I called and got the owner. She was nice and told me that she couldn't accommodate us because of construction that needed to be done for some sort of clearance by the City of Houston. Because we saw Hybrid Solutions' female-owned and Black-owned status as a perk, I told the owner that I'd be happy to reschedule our exam with Hybrid Solutions. No one wants to deal with -isms or -phobias before or during an exam, whether they're real, perceived or - our "favorite" - from being misidentified due to ambiguity. I was invited to call back on the 15th to confirm whether or not we could reschedule soon. I called Hybrid Solutions yesterday afternoon and was lucky enough to get the owner again. She couldn't confirm when we could reschedule through Pearson VUE and asked me to text her so my phone number would be connected with my name. I remember her saying something about possibly rescheduling for next week. I thanked her, texted her almost as soon as our call ended, and got a thumbs up emoji in response to my SMS. I'm sure she was busy, but the owner never got back to me yesterday. Now our exams are scheduled for next week downtown. Thx anyway, Hybrid Solutions.

This is for the San Francisco, CA location because I can't find the review page for it…read more.. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience with ONLC ! To be honest, I was a little skeptical and hesitant since most of the reviews at the other locations did not seem to be as nice. I signed up for ONLC because I was trying to find a place that offered in-person, live training for Google sheets. I was bummed to find out that it actually wasn't in-person training that was offered, but I'll share more later as I still quite enjoyed the instructional format. Someone named Laura emailed me 2 days before the class, letting me know about instructions into the building where the class would be held, and connecting me with a contact person. Around this time, I was also emailed some data and the manual for the class. Since the class started at 7:00 am PST (because the instructor was on EST), I had to head out quite early to get to San Francisco by 6:45 am ish to park and meet the contact person, since I live in the south bay. Laura had already let me know about where to park (as well as pricing), and the contact person was ready to meet with me on the 35th floor of the building where the SF location is. The ONLC office is small, with only two workstations set up, and nothing else. I was the only student that day, which I quite preferred as an introvert. The contact person made sure I was comfortable, and let me know where the restrooms and breakroom was. He also gave me an elevator key and the room key to the ONLC office, and let me know about special things such as the Jabra device and how to communicate with the instructor. The skyscraper that ONLC is in is basically just tons of offices that are rented, and so the ONLC office is one of many offices on that 35th floor. Unfortunately, the ONLC office was a room that didn't have windows, but some that were unused did, so I got to check out the view from those unused rooms. The computers were already set up remotely. There were 3 monitors: 1 monitor with the manual, 1 for my workspace that the instructor could see, and 1 that was the instructor's screen where we could follow along. The instructor spoke very clearly, and she was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the topic. Also there were only 4 students total, so it made it easy for the instructor to track our progress, as she could see all of our screens on her end. Even though it was not a live training, it really felt like the instructor was doing her best to keep us all on track, help us out, and make sure nobody was behind. There were 3 breaks, one 10 minute one around 8:00 am ish, a 1-hr one around 10 am ish, and another 10-minute one around 12:30 pm ish. The entire course lasted until about 1:30 pm PST. I think it could be nice to sign up for another ONLC course at the San Francisco location ! I only wish the class wasn't so early as I know it was following the EST time zone. Maybe next time I could just do the remote option as well, but it was also nice having everything set up already at the San Francisco Office.

I dropped out of Everest because the teachers there aren't made to care at all about the success of their students at all. I only formed a strong friendship with 3 of my teachers and I was so happy that they took out extra time to quiz me to help me study for my certification exam. Although it was more expensive I don't regret it because this was very easy to work with my work schedule and close to my residence when it was on the North side. Some employers refuse to even accept my application when they find out I got my C.M.A there. And their are some jobs that are actually impressed with the school and gave me a much better paying salary because of this school so I don't regret all that I've learned.
