But I did it -loved it , and had a lot of fun feeling feminine and sensual even in my 50's. It was I gift for my husband but also myself. As someone who is typically more comfortable taking the photos than being in them, it was nice to see myself in a flattering light with no judgement but my own. It is something I can hang on to and even if I never show anyone - it is a powerful thing to have for yourself. Knowing you can be strong, professional, resilient , etc but also have this feminine part of yourself documented as part of you also, is really cool-whether you share it or not. Hollywood Photo came up for passport photos so I put in an inquiry on the website. I received a response that yes they did passport photos and to call. I have to admit I was annoyed at having to call but seconds into my call on the phone with Tolga I had a smile on my face. He's just a super pleasant guy! It was easy to schedule an appointment, and the studio is easy to find, just off the 51. There's parking literally in front of the door too! Tolga is just as nice in person and you can tell he really loves his job! I asked him some questions about what he loves about photography and his face was so animated. I love seeing people love what they do! We took a new photo quickly and I gave my approval. Such a better photo than at the drugstore! Better lighting, better camera, and someone who actually knows what they are doing and cares makes a huge difference. Tolga let me know that the digital photo acceptance for passports has been tricky and to let him know if I had an issue. When I tried to submit the next day, I did have an issue and sent him an email. He replied right away with a new image file and that worked great. Not only did I get a photo I was much happier with, it was also a really pleasant experience. I would absolutely recommend Tolga for any photography needs!
