I did a photoshoot at BYME for a milestone birthday with some girlfriends and we had such a fun time! Booking and finding the studio was an easy process, since they sent a text on the booking date with pictures of where to enter in the building. The studio is really clean. Before we stepped into the room, everyone had to step on a sticky mat to clean our shoes. Appreciated it to keep the photo room clean. Once you are inside the room, there are chairs, props, backdrop, the camera, a monitor to see yourself before taking the pictures, and the monitor with the photos after you clicked it. We were blown away with the lighting! Prepare your poses beforehand. We had a Pinterest board of the poses and went through them during our session. Time does fly by quick. The owner walked us through the photo selection process. It was nice to have a few printed photos to keep while the rest of the photos were sent via email/Airdrop. For my twins 21st birthday I booked a session at BYME Studio. There was a bit of traffic on our way and we had no idea finding the studio would be time consuming or tricky so we were 45 mins late to our session but once we arrived the staff was SUPER nice. They took pity on us and gave us 10 free minutes. We were so grateful and took full advantage of the added time we were given. The staff explained the process to us. We took a few test shots. As someone who is camera shy this is the perfect place to get your photos done. The space can be a little challenging to find so I would give yourself extra time to park and locate the studio to avoid cutting into any of your photo time. We went to BYME Studio for the first time. We have 4 kids and 7 adults in our party, we chose the 90 mins white background session. There is not designated parking lot, we parked at a nearby paid parking lot for $5.99/day. The Studio is easy to find and the staff responds quickly via text and open the door for us when we arrived. We had a great experience at the studio, there are many props and different number ballons to use. In 60 mins, we took over 100 + photos and many of them turned out very nice. Wow! Such a fabulous concept - we really enjoyed our session at BYME! Our last minute maternity photos turned out excellent and we had fun with all the props. Service was amazing and they were so helpful with the photo selection process for prints (you get all your photos digitally, but can choose a few to print). We had the room to ourselves so it was easy to do outfit changes and we were able to be as silly or as classy as we wanted with the neutral white background. Highly recommend BYME for your photo needs! The only downside is that you have to pose yourselves, but the price is worth it. You get so many accessories to utilize with the room you choose, and you can also shift the existing props around. The first time I visited was for my maternity photos. I felt awkward about baring my belly for others to see, so this studio was the perfect option. You get all the files you take during your session - just remember to download within a week! You also get a printed copy per person with each session, with options to purchase additional printed copies. The second time we came with a large group of friends and that was super fun as well. Street parking is plentiful, which is always a plus in the downtown area. We usually take the short walk to San Pedro Square afterwards for boba and food. 5/16/25 - My friend and I booked an appointment to take staff pics for FANIME Con and the owner, Yongmin, was the one who assisted us today. He was so nice and accommodating even though we were late! It was so easy to understand how to snap your own pics and we felt like Kpop idols getting studio pics haha ! So many accessories were available to use too? But we brought our own as well. The lighting in the White Room made our skin so smooth and glowy once we saw the options for printing too. I'd highly recommend and plan to go back for headshot pics next! If you're looking for professional photography without the awkwardness of a stranger taking your family photos, this is the place. This creative concept is absolutely fantastic, and I truly hope they expand to other communities because it's incredibly convenient. We took our family for holiday photos, including our two pets, and we had such a great time. I loved that the background was fully set up before we even got started. The staff escorted us to the room, showed us the backdrop, and explained how to use the camera. Everything was ready to go--super smooth and stress-free. They had music, props, lighting--everything you could think of. There was a timer so we knew exactly how much time we had, and if we needed help, the staff was very attentive and quick to assist. I can sometimes feel uncomfortable having someone else take our pictures, but this experience was the best decision and absolutely worth the money. The staff was amazing--kind, attentive, and extremely helpful. The only thing I hope to see improved in the future (because I will definitely be coming back) is accessibility. The studio is upstairs with no elevator, so if you have pets in a stroller or kids/infants in strollers, you'll need to leave them downstairs. We booked 1 hour of regular studio room for 7 of us (2 families). All of the equipments (stationary DSLR with remote control, 2 monitors to see last photo that was taken and live video stream, and various light strobes and umbrellas) worked perfectly without needing any technical assistance. I like that it's our own space since we like doing the photos with our dog and they are such a sweet couple when it comes to dogs! Was looking for a photo studio that had openings the week before Christmas and we came across this place on Yelp and tik tok. I was hesitant to book at first since you do have to pay up front but was so glad we decided to book. You take your photos yourself and it was honestly such a fun experience. They have different timed sessions to choose from, a bunch of props you can use and the room inside has a screen where you can see how your photo turns out right there. We did the 30 min session. 20 min was for taking photos and the other ten was for reviewing your photos. You get two prints from the studio but are welcome to purchase more. so much fun!! my friends & I took holiday pictures with our dogs and it was a quick and easy process to make the appointment online. - much easier than trying to take photos at JCP or any other studios, youre allotted x amount of time (30, 60, 90) to take your own photos with a clicker, and then youre able to choose which ones you want printed. The rest youll receive in a zip file through email. - dog friendly!! dogs count as an extra guest so they're $10 each. 2 people are included in the original reservation, any human or dog on top of that is $10 each. - right by DTSJ, but parking during the day was not difficult at all, found street parking right outside. Can be a little confusing to find the actual portrait studio (on weekends the outside main doors are locked) and it's located in an office building on the second floor. - clean & friendly: owners are reasonably accommodating and very kind. they clean each room after use. - the only downside is that there is less selection for photo backgrounds. they do have a plethora of props that are available for use though! - our total for 3 humans and 2 doggos was $130, which still ends up being cheaper than JCP! read more

Had the best time at BYME studio! The studio takes up an office space in a building office in Santa Clara. You can book time slots on their website and preview their various packages of 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 90 minutes. I booked a 30 minute session for Tuesday morning at 11:05 am to get some self head shots and model a bit. The 30 minutes were 20 minutes of photo shoot and 10 minutes of photo selection. There's a parking structure right next to the building, so it's super convenient and about a 5 minute walking. It can get packed since workers are using the parking structure and you'll have to pay a fee when exiting. I paid around $10 for parking. When you reach the building, someone will meet you outside the building to escort you to the 2nd floor since you need a security to access the building and go up the elevator. Yong met me at the entrance, and provided me with the details of the studio as we made our way up. Once complete, I was ready to take photos. This is an awesome experience if you're shy to take photos in public since it's your own space whether solo or with friends. It's a clean space with awesome studio lighting and professional camera that's already preset for you to capture your best self! I felt so comfortable and confident in taking photos. There are various props to use such as blocks or high chairs to sit on. Great variety to capture fun, heartwarming moments with your loved ones. There's a timer on the floor, so you know how much time is left. Everything is controlled by a clicker, so take as many photos as you want! You'll see the captured shot on another screen so you can adjust, fix your clothes, or strike another pose. Once my session was done, Yong returned to let me choose 2 photos to print out for physical copies. I ended up taking 150+ photos in 20 minutes. I got all the digital copies to myself. Afterwards, Yong walked me back the building entrance, and I went about my day. loved the photoshoots i did with my friends and inside was clean found this gem on social media, instructions were straight forward, the website is clear with dates/time slots and how long you would like to choose your session, and a reminder of your appt. after the photos (they go by pretty quick) you have a small period of time to choose your photos to print and you also can get your whole file emailed electronically if you cannot decide on the printed photos which is extremely helpful and nice parking was easy on the side didn't get lost, but it is inside a building and have to look for the suite when you enter, just make a left when you go inside, walk straight to go up the stairs and you will see the suite on your left with the sign on the door Yong was helpful and nice, will be back ! p.s. optional for tipping, but you can tip at the end if you like read more

This studio was open on Christmas day! It was perfect for our small family Christmas to-do. Reservation was simple, studio was clean and well equipped with all kinds of props. I think this studio has seasonal backgrounds. We used the Christmas themed background and photos came out really nice. It was my mom's first time using a self-studio and she was extremely pleased.
