When I was a kid, visiting my grandma, I was always so excited about her big, brown clock. Even…read moremore excited than about the milk and cookies I knew would be waiting for me in her kitchen. In the memory, her clock was the biggest one in the whole wide world. The centrepiece of her livingroom, standing there all old and dignified. Tik-tak, tik-tak, that sound would make me stand still and silent for what seemed like hours. I got the same feeling of excitement when I entered Timepiece on Patrick Street. It was like stepping back in time. The shop is jam-packed with antique clocks in all shapes and sizes. Beautiful wooden ones, just like my grandma's, as well as metal case clocks. These amazing treasures come with a price, but even though you can't afford one right now, it's still fun to have a look around.

On the Late Late Toy Show this past Christmas there was a little boy who was featured in the…read morereading section. At a very precocious age he had become obssessed with clocks. He said he was a huge fan of horology. Now I'm way older than him and I had no idea what a horologist was, that is until I entered Timepiece antiques. In case you haven't caught on yet, horology is the art of measuring time. This is something that Timepiece has taken to the max. If you're not afraid of 'closing walls, and ticking clocks', but instead you love the sound of time passing this shop is your nirvana. If you're looking for that special timepiece to make your room complete then you'll be overwhelmed with the amazing selection they have here.

I was in Dublin for a long weekend and wanted a keepsake to remember the trip, so I researched some…read morelocal jewelers online and discovered Courtville - I decided to visit the shop as they had a nice selection of gentlemen's jewelry online. Much to my delight the selection of vintage men's jewelry in store was huge! I never see this level of estate jewelry in the states. I tried on many beautiful rings before deciding on a gorgeous 18k gold cats-eye cabochon ring, the price was reasonable and the service was top notch. I will definitely return on my next visit to this fine city. Also the location of this shop is incredible, there are multiple estate jewelry shops, merchants and restaurants, it's definitely worth checking out.

So I went on to Courtville as I'd seen Matt'y's tik toks. Unfortunately missed Matty but the lady in the shop was so friendly and nice . Unfortunately didn't see the perfect gift to purchase , but was a lovely experience and will call back next time I'm in Dublin for sure ,
