I had to liquidate this money to become eligible for Medicaid. I lost almost $800 to surrender fees. They denied my request for the return of these funds. I submitted an appeal to this decision with a letter that detailed my situation. The guidlines state that I had to be in a hospital or approved facility for 60 days, but this money had to be liquidated and dispursed in less than 30 days to be able to apply for Medicaid. After this appeal, they denied me AGAIN! I will NEVER do business with them again, and caution anyone who does business with them.
