I had a lot of stress pain on my neck and shoulders when she was finished, I gave him $100 bill and she just told me thank you. And then I asked her didn't you tell me it was $70 and she said tip tip tip that's all she was telling me tip tip tip. All of a sudden she could not speak any English and I was going to give her a tip but not $30. She ended up keeping it anyway because I had to go home and I didn't wanna sit there and argue with that lady. Needless to say, I would not be returning

When I first went to her for a pre-natal massage, this was a huge deal to me and has been ever since. The owner's listening and communication skills far exceeded my expectations to focus the massage in the most needed places and with the right pressure. The environment of the room was incredibly relaxing, and I honestly felt right at home with the set-up of everything I needed. I highly recommend The Uncommon Massage as the best massage practice in Baton Rouge and am so excited to hear the hours have opened up to fulltime, so I can go there more frequently. Major plus there. Grace did a fantastic massage, kept me under the sheet the entire time and frequently asked if the pressure was ok. I will definitely go back and and ask for her. The only negative is that my session was a one hour for $70, I have her a 100 bill and had to ask her for my change so I could tip her. Obviously she thought the entire hundred was for her, when it was not. Other than that 9/10 stars.

I have back pain that is so bad that some days I can barley walk. But since I don't get massages often (this was only my second one ever), I didn't do the best job communicating exactly what I needed at first. After my initial one-hour session, I realized my main problem area (my lower back) didn't get as much attention as I needed. My boyfriend called on my behalf to ask (very politely) if there was any way I could come back in, and she was incredibly kind and accommodating. She had me simply pay the difference to extend the session. During the extended time, we spoke about the areas that have been causing me ongoing pain. She was very intuitive and able to find the problem spots without me having to over-explain, which made a huge difference. I'm only 27 and very active but been dealing with chronic lower back pain for a long time, and it affects my daily life a lot. Being able to finally get some real relief meant so much it literally makes me emotional talking about it haha. I really appreciated not just her skill, but also her professionalism and kindness in how she handled everything. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend her to anyone dealing with similar issues.
