I originally booked for a back surface piercing, but when I arrived, I was told the proper equipment for that service was not available. As a professional, that should have been confirmed before booking. Because of that, I was pressured into getting back dermals instead. My appointment was also rescheduled from 1 PM to 4 PM due to personal reasons, which was already inconvenient. I still showed up only to wait an additional hour because the piercer was late. Due to the time being reschedule I ended up spending $100 To get there. After the procedure, one dermal visibly looked shallow compared to the others. I brought this up immediately and was told to "wait." Nearly 3 days later, when I gently removed the bandage, that dermal came out completely with no snagging or trauma. The other three are perfectly fine, which makes it clear that one was not properly seated. I was told I would receive a refund due to the inconveniences, I received it later. Overall, this experience involved multiple inconveniences, lack of proper preparation, and a piercing that failed within days. I would not recommend booking unless you are prepared for rescheduling issues and incomplete setup. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision.

DAVE IS THE MAN!…read more Since my daughter and her spouse were joining us at this year's Apple Festival, I thought that it would be a great opportunity for us to get a family caricature. I peeped the vendor list prior to my visit and decided that booth #35 would be our first stop of the day. We were the first to arrive and I quickly slid into a sit to mark my territory. Dave actually completed our last family caricature a decade ago so I knew that we were in good hands! Awesome! He is an Atlanta based artist who specializes in caricatures so he is very familiar to many. Yes, I was trying to control the process but Dave hi-jacked my plan and did his thang! It's Dave, so I wasn't worried and true to expectations, he did a great job! Our son was not present but Dave was able to add him in from a photo on one of our cell phones. It is perfect! Most caricatures are prepared in black but we decided to go for color which costs significantly more but worth it to us since we are collectors. Also since we have so many, we want them to be a bit different and the ones done in color really pop. You will actually want to splurge on this item because it not only documents a special family moment, but it is the ultimate souvenir that will last a lifetime. The process took about 45 minutes for four people (adding color takes additional time), so plan accordingly. Don't forget to bring cold hard cash!

A couple of doors that I saw that required tickets to the event/location were the Georgia Aquarium and Botanical Garden tiny doors. I have visited many tiny doors and have even spent a day looking for them. Each door is uniquely designed for the place it is located. Each door was so special that it's hard to choose a favorite. I would recommend looking for them if you are visiting a place where one is nearby, but I wouldn't recommend dedicating time to search for these. At the time of writing this review, there are over 20 public art installations of tiny 7-inch doors throughout Atlanta. Each was handmade and installed by Singer who, according to CBS Sunday Morning and CNN, takes anywhere from 40 to 60 hours to make a single door. She described them as a "love note to Atlanta." Once the doors are installed, they are maintained too. The doors are really cool and unique to the City of Atlanta. Atlanta is lucky to have Singer. From the East Atlanta Village Farmers Market to the Swan House in Buckhead, Tiny Doors have been popping up in places all over ATL. During the 2021 NBA Playoffs, Singer even unveiled a door at State Farm Arena with Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins and CEO Steve Koonin: https://www.instagram.com/p/CQuTUF-r87C/. Door #658 was originally unveiled at the Hotel Indigo in Midtown in 2019. It's now located at the Edge OTB apartment complex, facing the Atlanta BeltLine's Eastside Trail. The door is numbered 658 because it's 658 times the size of a standard 7-inch Tiny Door. I uploaded pictures of these two doors to Tiny Doors ATL's listing here on Yelp. As a homeowner in Atlantic Station since before the retail portion of the development opened in 2005, I'm proud to have Singer and Tiny Doors ATL as a neighbor and officially Atlantic Station's "Artist in Residence" as of April 2020. It was so much fun and such a cool way to get creative. The women working there were so sweet, helpful, and accommodating. We never felt rushed at all, which made the experience even better. We had plenty of time to play around with colors, get creative, and make our bears completely our own. I booked our experience through Viator, and one important thing to know ahead of time is that the bears need about 72 hours to fully dry before they can be picked up. We were visiting from out of town, so luckily we had a friend in the Atlanta area who was able to pick them up and ship them to us afterward. Definitely something to plan for if you're traveling! Such a fun memory for my son's 10th birthday and we got to bring home our own little works of art. I would absolutely recommend this for families, friends, a date, or honestly anyone who wants to do something different and creative while in Atlanta! 10/10 ! we had a blast!

Great idea for a different experience…read more Parking can be difficult given its location but we luckily found street parking not far from the establishment. Boots and full clothing coverage is provided. But no eye protection for those who wear glasses. We anticipated it to be more of a group experience so we were surprised it was only me and who I came in with. I suppose it is self-explanatory but I also am more of a visual learner and would have appreciated some more tips and tricks before starting. You are given the primary colors and then some to work with. Sparkles and glitter are also offered at the end. Overall, we had a good experience but I do feel as though some aspects are lacking in terms of more guidance on how to customize or achieve certain effects. Would come again if some kind of discount is offered since we were there for less than 15 minutes for two canvases.
