    The elevated Pelham Parkway Subway Station in the Bronx's Pelham Parkway neighborhood, opened in…read more1917 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is now serviced by serviced by the White Plains Road Line 2 and during rush hour peak direction 5 trains. It is an ADA compliant accessible station. In 2007, the MTA installedl faceted stained glass windows designed by New York artist Tomie Arai called "Back to the Garden," a nod to the Joni MItchell song lyrics about a more simpler life. You'll find among the floral one of the things I enjoyed the most - inset screened black & white historic photos of areas this White Plains Road Line passes through. Period images of The Grand Concourse, Prospect Avenue, the old subway entrance at East 149th Street, trollies along Third Avenue show how much the Bronx has changed. My favorite pic - the 1890 White Plains Road 2-story wooden Hotel W. Thwaite that also sold wines and lager beer! All in all, they add to this great public artwork, making it worth taking a closer look!

    Always some kind of chaos on the train even in the mid to later afternoon. The 4 and 5 mostly cause…read moreriders the most trouble. Sometimes the train makes you just late for your daily commute. Some people are just clueless and stand by the door all the times and some people just are unruly when the train is crowded. MTA needs to fix alot of things and not just worry about putting spikes near the turnstiles. Absolutely a fail by the MTA
