In 2004, the MTA did install great faceted glass windows both on the platforms and in the vestibules designed by South Bronx artist Daniel Del Valle called "A Trip Up the Bronx River," including enjoyable outdoor Bronx settings, such as the river, Zoo, and Botanical Gardens. Local service has morally declined into the toilet for Bx41 Bus! It hosts on board many panhangers as the bus driver did not block such non-paying passengers. It is a double-car bus and often crowded for off-business hours on weekdays and weekend nights. The route is from South Bronx's The Hub at East 149th Street and Third Avenue 149th Street where accessible for transfering to # 2, 5 trains and further to Williamsbridge's White Plains Road and East Gun Hill Road in the Bronx.

In 2007, the MTA installedl faceted stained glass windows designed by New York artist Tomie Arai called "Back to the Garden," a nod to the Joni MItchell song lyrics about a more simpler life. You'll find among the floral one of the things I enjoyed the most - inset screened black & white historic photos of areas this White Plains Road Line passes through. Period images of The Grand Concourse, Prospect Avenue, the old subway entrance at East 149th Street, trollies along Third Avenue show how much the Bronx has changed. My favorite pic - the 1890 White Plains Road 2-story wooden Hotel W. Thwaite that also sold wines and lager beer! All in all, they add to this great public artwork, making it worth taking a closer look!

Some people are just clueless and stand by the door all the times and some people just are unruly when the train is crowded. MTA needs to fix alot of things and not just worry about putting spikes near the turnstiles. Absolutely a fail by the MTA

I've been here plenty of times traveling from nyc to nj via bus. My fave is going to American dream…read moremall. Every time i come here, i use the bathrooms and grab Jamba Juice. Everything is always clean and the staff here is helpful. Love that it connects to the MTA train station on the lower levels. My only con is they don't work hard to get rid of the bums that like to stay here or bother people.

And if it wasn't crumbling and gritty, I think the station would actually be very nice today. But, since it's New York City, this station is pretty gritty. One of my first general complaints that comes to the station is not the grit, but the fact that it's not wheelchair accessible when it easily has the advantage to be. But if you are disabled and in the area, there's only a station four blocks away on the same train at 207th Street. There is also an entrance facing the park, so it's general entrances are actually helpful. It's in a very residential and commercial area, and it's generally used a lot, so it's very it's good besides my two complaints of the grit and not having handicap access.
