Although I have someone at home to watch her, just staying home all the time was proving to be more harmful for her than not. Enrolling her into the 2K program here was the best decision I ever made. Sure, it is pricy but it was well worth it. She was receiving more than just adequate care. It seems like all the teachers/staff/administrators know every child by name. She cried for the first couple weeks and kept her distance from everyone but she was soon able to crawl out of her shell and make some friends! She started speaking more at home (won't stop now lol) and would tell me who she played with and what her teachers (Ms. Julie and Ms. Mei) had taught her. When Ms. Mei helped to fix her hair, she would not let me touch it! Same with the stickers and tattoos that she received. She would treat them like her greatest treasure. And no matter what it is that I ask about -- "who taught you that?", her answer is ALWAYS "Mei Mei". That only shows how much love she received while she was at school and she has grown so fond of her teachers. It is also great that the teachers are able to speak Cantonese. I want to encourage my children to stay bilingual. I was excited to see Chinese (Mandarin) as part of the curriculum but unfortunately it is not in the 3K curriculum... I love the updates I get at the end of the day -- pictures showing me how she was doing. Seeing those pictures really makes my day. She is now in 3K with Ms. Anne and Ms. Karin and I cannot wait to see and hear all the good things about this school year from my daughter!

One of the activities I personally like is the lake having an obstical course is made of a Balloon there was 3 diving boards, pads to jump on, monkey bars with a hole which makes you fall into the water, a slippery slope, and cross bridges leasing to a slide. We noticed the differences right away, and couldn't be happier with our decision to send our daughter here. One thing about most daycare's in Brooklyn, is that they are simply over glorified babysitters. You send your child to them for roughly nine hours a day and all they generally do is just try to kill time without any kind of intellectual benefit to the child. This is probably where Little Scholars differs from the rest. They have a fantastic curriculum. Although it has been a short period of time, we have already noticed a change in our daughters behavior. She has become more curious, and constantly talks about the new things they learned that day. The daycare's owner (her name escapes me at the moment) is accredited, and incredibly accommodating. Another big difference we noticed is the level of communication this daycare provides between itself and the parents. We are constantly aware of their daily activities, and are always told of any issues no matter how small they are (Yesterday our daughter decided to "skip" her nap). The place is incredibly clean, and we are able to stop by from time to time and check the cameras that they have in their office to peak in on our little one. All in all we're glad to have found this place. I think at this age it's important to choose a daycare that puts as much emphasis on learning as it does on having fun!

I was assured by Nick that they will take care of my daughter, and they have not let me down. I looked…read moreinto their public NYC Health inspection history, and there have been past violations involving an unsafe heating apparatus classified as a public health hazard, lack of a First Aid/CPR-trained staff member on site at the time of inspection, missing allergy-response training, fire-drill documentation issues, supervision concerns, staff medical-clearance issues, fingerprint-screening problems, and food-storage concerns, but as a parent we need to make sure our kids are safe before we trust any day care that has bad record especially when it comes to inspection.
