We signed up with Little Scholars about 3 weeks ago, coming from a different daycare that we weren't exactly happy with. We noticed the differences right away, and couldn't be happier with our decision to send our daughter here. One thing about most daycare's in Brooklyn, is that they are simply over glorified babysitters. You send your child to them for roughly nine hours a day and all they generally do is just try to kill time without any kind of intellectual benefit to the child. This is probably where Little Scholars differs from the rest. They have a fantastic curriculum. Although it has been a short period of time, we have already noticed a change in our daughters behavior. She has become more curious, and constantly talks about the new things they learned that day. The daycare's owner (her name escapes me at the moment) is accredited, and incredibly accommodating. Another big difference we noticed is the level of communication this daycare provides between itself and the parents. We are constantly aware of their daily activities, and are always told of any issues no matter how small they are (Yesterday our daughter decided to "skip" her nap). The place is incredibly clean, and we are able to stop by from time to time and check the cameras that they have in their office to peak in on our little one. All in all we're glad to have found this place. I think at this age it's important to choose a daycare that puts as much emphasis on learning as it does on having fun! read more

My daughter is in the 3K class, and it really has a strong neighborhood feel - there are lots of local parents at pickup. She often comes home with little projects they've worked on, which I love. The teachers also seem very patient, even during those chaotic mornings. read more

LS has been a true blessing for our two little ones - and for our whole family. In just two months, we've seen a big difference at home: they're more engaged in learning activities, their vocabulary has expanded, their curiosity is growing, and they're getting better at sharing. The meals they provide are amazing as well. This place truly supports rapid development in both the educational aspect and life skills. It's a fantastic environment for any child to grow. read more

It is the most rewarding feeling in the world to know that your kids are safe and they are receiving the best quality of care...so I want to thank all teachers at this universal prek for their care and utmost attention to every detail when it comes to our children' well-being. I can say with confidence that this is the place you can trust! read more

I love this daycare so much! I currently have all 3 of my children enrolled here, and we have been here for 3 years. One of my children have also went through UPK here. All of the teachers are phenomenal! They are patient, kind, understanding, loving, and they really treat the kids like they are their own. They have learned so much from this center and I'm glad we found it after a bad situation at another center. I would (and have!) recommend this place to anyone needing child care in this area! read more

I think five stars are not enough to rate Little Scholars Quentin Road's location. My son have been going here before and after school for about 4 months. He loves this place because he's loved and well taken care. Elizabeth, Natia, Olga, and Kayla are amazing, informative, Professional, and loving Teachers. They always communicate and are transparent about everything. I love the safety measures they have in place and feel super safe with my son being here. If you are looking for quality care with a safe and fun environment, then this is the place for you. Easily the best child care and Loving Family in neighborhood. read more

Great space for kids. Love the emphasis on education, nutrition and cleanliness. If you're unsure go tour the facility!

I can't even give a rating for this place. I sent three of my children there my daughter was removed after a month because she was two years of age and I was able to put her in a different daycare where she immediately adapted and was a completely different child unfortunately my boys were younger and I needed to keep them there until I finally had enough they do not have enough staff the teachers are under stress and angry Excluding Miss Kayla The only good teacher my children always came home dirty the place has not been touched up probably since it was opened all the walls are chipped they definitely are not following Covid guidelines definitely not cleaning the children's hands or sanitizing as much as they should my kids were sick constantly now I know children get sick upon starting daycare but not to this extent they do not care about the children you are just money to them or another voucher they don't care they don't try to accommodate you They have a the nerve to tell people that vouchers that pay for full-time that they cannot leave their child the full day if they're not willing to nap like they think it is like a Boot Camp there I am telling you now this place should be shut down I hope that they are do not put your child there and honestly if your child is there you should pull them out because they are definitely not being treated the way they should be I'm a very honest and real person I have never wrote a rating in my life nor a review ever Their website says one thing but trust me when I tell you they do not do any of the things listed on that website nor do they even stick to the time that they are supposedly open then they have the nerve to charge you one dollar per every minute if you are late. They take a few pictures of the kids to post on bright wheel to make the parents happy and then they put them in the high chairs and that's where they leave them I have heard the teachers yelling from the outside on many occasions I paid by voucher so it is a little bit of a difficult process to switch day cares but I am so happy that I got my children out of there. I Couldn't feel like a good mother and leave my children in this place read more

A truly wonderful pre school! From the very first time my husband and I walked in, we were approached in a very kind and professional manner. Such a difference compared to what we had encountered in some other daycare facilities nearby. We immediately noticed warm and friendly staff and happy looking kids. We were also glad we found a daycare which was so helpful and flexible with what they had to offer in terms of the schedule. They are very accommodating. My husband and I were very nervous about our daughter starting school as she was extremely attached to us, and because we had a terrible experience with some other daycare two years prior. But, the teachers did an AMAZING job helping her adjust and overcome her separation anxieties. They also made sure we were free of worries when leaving her at school each day. It was very comforting. I love that the staff always made sure they communicated with us about our daughter's progress (they still do). Now she loves her school, teachers and friends! She has made a lot of progress since she started school, especially in her ability to better communicate as her vocabulary has expanded a lot. I like that the method of learning is through discovery and a lot of interesting projects which their Head teacher posts on a private FB page created just for the parents. It is so refreshing to see a place where the teachers are dedicated, engaged and attentive to children's needs. The little ones are treated with kindness and respect. We are very happy with this school. Thumbs up, Little Scholars! read more

Our children have been attending this Little Scholars location for 5.5 years. We have been mostly happy with the daycare overall for a long time, but it is becoming more and more apparent that the management isn't as interested in maintaining relationships with the current families but rather focuses on constantly opening new locations and raising prices on current students to finance their expansion. The tuition goes up at every location, every single year. A few years ago, fees were instituted for "Shows and Supplies" - you are expected to pay $150 per year in order to see your child perform in a Holiday Show and a Mother's Day show. The UPK class, which is supposed to be free, has a $200 annual fee for said "Shows and Supplies" because they also have a graduation. This year also, the tuition has gone up again while the hours that this tuition covers were cut back. Last year, the tuition for a toddler was $1100 for a 12 hour day, from 7am to 7pm. This year, we have to pay $1200 for a 10 hour day, from 8am to 6pm. The two hours that were previously included in the tuition now cost extra - $50 per month for each of the so-called "extended hours." This is an outrageous increase in price which has not been substantiated by the managers when questioned about what our newly increased tuition will be paying for. When our daughter started at the center in January 2014, we were paying $900 for an infant under 1 year old. Now the tuition for an infant is $1600 - nearly doubled in 5 years! Note, when you sign up, that the rates can be increased at any time (with advance notice) and in the past years, have increased with less than a week's notice to us. This location is the oldest of the 6 centers that are now in operation. The facilities do not in any way equal to any of the other centers - it is an older building, the rooms are small, the only separation between the Pre-K and the toddler room is a wheeled partition that doesn't reach the ceiling. The only child bathrooms are in the toddler room, which is a throughway between the Pre-K classroom and the nursery. This location has not received so much as a coat of paint in several years. The wonderful teachers here make the best of the state of this facility and their care for the children really shows. Yet if you enroll to attend this location, you will be paying the same exact amount in monthly tuition and fees as the parents enrolling in brand new centers with brand new equipment, spacious rooms, rooftop playgrounds, located in neighborhoods with much higher rent/lease prices than this one. The management is entirely unresponsive to this disparity and has no loyalty to families who have invested thousands upon thousands of dollars into their center, in favor of building new centers and brining in new families. read more

Let me tell you this place is exactly the same as the previous ownership 'Lady Bug' except majority of the "teachers" speak English and there's no furniture. Do not be fooled the sweet owner. She is an amazing sales woman but when you have any type of inquiry she will make herself unavailable and hide. In the mornings, all crying infants are put in high chairs in the back room until their "teacher" shows up. All remaining children are in front of the TV while the really important "teachers" are watching videos on their phone or talking on it. These teachers are really important people because they are always on their phone. Be prepared to drop off your child at the door like a package and pick them up like a package. Do not ask any questions about your child because you will get a blank stare and attitude. Please go and see for yourself. Like I said, don't fall for the owner and her little game. You will end up taking your kid out. read more

My daughter went to 2 months in the garden. I was shocked by what she is after kindergarten without removing shoes ran into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. And that happened every day. Offen her mood was negative. She went hungry. read more

What an incredible day care!!!! The environment is so warm and friendly. The class rooms are organized, clean and filled with top notch learning materials. The food is home cooked and fresh daily with awesome and healthy options on the menu. The academic programs are on point if not above standard, the education is catered to your childs development, they do hands on learning and fun projects like planting. The environment is safe with no one entering the building without showing proof of who they are. And my favorite is the open communication with the parents, the teachers and director are easy to reach and always willing to share your childs progress or talk about any concerns. Cant wait for the new location to open at The Wave and have my kids attend the new facility. read more

Very disappointed with the way how the kids are treated there. My daughter attended their daycare only one month. For all this time she never brought home no any kind project. They feed kids bologna and white bread... Once I picked up my daughter from the playground and two kids were walking barefoot. When I asked the staff their explanation was "Oh, his shoes is always sleeps over"... They are offering 25$ gift card for their review :-) Really? Am I entitled as well? It is so sad that some parents do not know what is going on behind the closed door and welcoming smile manager... read more

If I could give a zero star I would! I haven't enrolled my daughter for the simple fact that not ONE of there 4 locations have had people who were welcoming and polite! I made an appointment to tour and when I showed up no one knew why I was there or that they were expecting me!!! Went to their Neptune location today and the lady let me in and walked away to a bunch of screaming kids! I was left standing there, no one approaching me! Finally I told a lady I was there to get information and the lady said if I wasn't enrolled already then they were booked! Went to leave and the lady who let me in apologized and said she thought I was there to pick up a child! Never met me in her life so not sure how or why she assumed I was there to pick up a child! If you're not Russian I wouldn't even bother checking them out! read more

Horrible horrible horrible day care! If you love your children, please do yourself a favor and do NOT send them here. I placed both my toddler and baby into this day care and exactly 3 days later took them right out of there. The teachers and counselors are extremely rude and unprofessional. My daughter used to come out of this day care super dehydrated. Her lips were all chopped, begging for water. I understood that she hadn't been drinking water all day. I addressed the issue with one of the counselors and she told me that they will not give children water unless the child asked for it. I had told her that my child doesn't speak and she needs to be given water all throughout the day reguardless. She then told me that she will NOT give my daughter undivided attention. So apparently my child needs to stay dehydrated because she doesn't speak out and ask for water. Absolutely ridiculous! Another time I happened to just walk into the day care and see my son (who is only one year old) locked in a highcair, ALONE in a room. He was left UNATTENDED. He had tears flowing down his face and his eyes were all swollen. He was hyperventilating. I immediately addressed this issue to a counselor and she told me that she just put him down for a snack. Then she switched the story and said she put him down to go find a change of clothing for him. Needless to say, this is a horrible day care with a horrible staff. read more

Do not send your children here. Now I know why people were taking their children out and going to Angelas daycare down the block. Not a good experience here at all. Nobody even greets the children in the mornings during drop off. I used to go and pick up my grandchild there and I wasn't even asked who I was. I had to go and gather up their belongings because everyone was too busy talking to each other. Please go and try this daycare out and see for yourself. Everyone in there looks so unhappy and rolling their eyes at children and screaming at them. There is nobody in charge monitoring their staff. You don't have to go by this review. See for yourself. read more

Worst experience ever! We went there a year ago. I pulled my child out after a few days and never went again. When i originally signed up my son, he was 13 months. Mariana promised their group will not have more than 12 babies. I come the first day to pick him up after 2-3 hours. He had the back of his head and clothes in the back covered with formula. He was sleeping and they had to wake him up. I addressed the issue with the girl who said was someone in charge while Mariana is not around-Ms. Lina I think. She said she would find out what happened but she never got back to me. My baby must have been left unattended sleeping with a bottle in his hand. Next time i come to pick him up i went inside the room and i see at least 14 babies crawling around with only one teacher in the room. The other was in the back room putting another baby to sleep. When she came out she looked sleepy with her hair messy. She brought my child out and his pants and hands were all dirty with dust. They said they were playing outdoors which means he was crawling out there!! Teachers seemed very rude and unprofessional. They dont speak any English and poor Russian. Mariana seemed nice on a tour day but after she was never there. I called and left messages to speak with her privately but she never returned my calls. We paid for the full month and only went for a few days. I didnt make a scene because I dont like confrontations and scandals. I just wanted to run away from that hell asap. One of the parents on russian parents group page on Facebook spoke up once but the day care partner/co-owner shut her up.The older kids group were taking a nap right by the entrance door. They have a divider in the middle of the room which pretty much separates two older kids groups. the baby group is located all the way in the back so you pretty much have to walk through these two groups to get to the other room. I felt so sorry for kids that were ages 3-4 that were right by feet as i walked in. There isnt enough space. Their teacher seemed very rude to them. i dont know how any parent would take their kids there. They said they have cameras and you can come watch your kid but that camera was off every time i came there to drop off or pick up my child.. If you can, take your child to another day care. read more
