I hired this firm to prepare my personal tax returns but found their service consistently lacking…read more Over the course of two years, they were frequently unresponsive and difficult to reach. I eventually stopped using them due to ongoing poor service. More than a year after I ended our relationship--and after having paid all their invoices--I received a new bill with no clear explanation. It was unclear whether this charge was even legitimate, as I had already been fully invoiced for their services. When I raised concerns, the managing director, Ira Feldman, called and threatened legal action if I did not pay. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this accounting firm.

Foresight Business Solutions owner Ryan Correia has done an excellent on job tax returns and trust…read morework since 2010. In auditing another accountant's returns, Ryan found thousands of dollars of refunds missed by the other accountant. The 9 tax returns Ryan prepares for me each year include personal returns, trust returns (real estate trusts), and out of state returns. A very complex tax situation which Ryan and his staff have handled very well. One of Ryan's biggest strengths is his flexibility in making my part of the tax return effort as easy as possible. For example, he purchased the version of Quicken which I use so that I can now just give him my Quicken file each year and he can pick out the expenses which must go on the returns. I do not therefore have to go to the time and effort of transferring data from my Quicken files to Ryan (or to his Tax Organizer). Ryan also acts as an agent to help me and my sister with work relating to out of state real estate in several trusts. Ryan has an excellent professional rapport with the real estate property managers, insurance agents, tax authorities, etc, and he regularly reports back to me on his efforts, which are very productive in general. Much of the work Ryan does for me is through his secure portal, and also via email when I request that. This makes it very convenient for me. I can, however, visit Ryan's office whenever I like. Ryan has a very easygoing personality, a totally professional manner, and excellent communication skills, making it very easy to work with him. I highly recommend Ryan Correia and his firm for tax and other financial-related work.

His work is a revelation--moderately complicated taxes can be done in an afternoon, at your home, and affordably. He's knowledgeable and personable. A family member selling her home didn't believe that the common purchasing tool the buyers requested (a "seller's assist") was not some kind of scam and refused to accept their offer until she had talked to David. He explained how common the assist is and how it does not affect one's taxes, and she relaxed enough to go ahead with the sale. (Of course, she then told her own real estate agents she didn't trust them, but that she trusted David implicitly. And he does seem worthy of that trust!) We haven't seen his hilarious tax-time letters (referenced by another yelper), but we hope to find one in the mailbox one day. Maybe we need to be just a little delinquent so he'll feel obligated to send us one.

But perhaps my favorite thing about him are the hilarious tax-time letters he sends out - this dude has a wicked sense of humor!
