When I asked the…read moreemployee to put out the cigarette because it was illegal and I'm allergic, the guy blew smoke in my face, told me it was legal because they sell tobacco and called me an idiot. When I knew more about the law than him. The Nebraska Clean Indoor Air Act of 2008 (The smoking ban here in Nebraska) only has 4 exemptions from the law. 1) Up to 20% of the rooms in a hotel. 2) Facilities researching the health effects of smoking. 3) Private residences, except when a residence is being used as a licensed child care program. 4) Tobacco-only retailers defined as a "store that sells only tobacco and products directly related to tobacco. Products directly related to tobacco do not include alcohol, coffee, soft drinks, candy, groceries or gasoline." So, contrary to popular belief it is ILLEGAL to smoke inside K&B or TY's because they sell soda and candy.
