Great gluten-free options, and fantastically tasty treats. Much like the name, the decor is quirky but quaint and you get to enjoy some very vintage tunes playing in the background. If you're just in the mood for a proper pot of tea and a very vintage-tea-tooms atmosphere, this is the spot to visit.
Friendly efficient staff. They were very up-front and recommended avoiding the baked goods when told my companion had a nut allergy, which is always appreciated because it's not something to take chances with. We decided to forego the cake on that visit and stick to tea and coffee.
The lunch menu has all allergens clearly marked, so the other diner has since been back and enjoyed lunch there on more than one occasion.
I've also been back and found lunch menu is good value given the portion sizes. I had a sizable chicken fillet burger, and I was particularly impressed with the side salad which was very varied and nearly a meal in itself! Not a morsel was left behind though, and I somehow managed to make room for a dessert too.
All in all, well worth trying. read more
