I live in an area with tons of cosmetic surgeon options, but flew cross country just for Dr. Donath's work. I chose Dr. Donath for several reasons. - office staff communication made me feel like they had total transparency. (The first impression was correct, every person on his staff did their job with excellence - front office, post-op nurse, billing, etc) - He guarantees his work. I had multiple eyelid surgeries and one fat transfer surgery prior to finding him. My history was that after healing, things shift and my body in particular resorbed my previous fat transfer rather quickly. - Fair pricing. - Bed-side manner, scientific/artistic eye saw everything I wanted to fix, understood me completely. I have had about 6 different surgeons for various cosmetic procedures due to my birth defects, and I am the most confident with Dr. Donath. I had a sort of difficult case. I needed fat put into my upper eyelid crease as well as in the lower supporting eyelid one side, because I have assymetry due to birth defect. This is a very delicate area to have work done, and I was right to give him my implicit trust. I look as close to symmetrical as I have in my entire life. I also had fat placed in my upper cheeks because I was looking prematurely aged and tired, and man- his work looks so natural now! I also decided to have him perform some subsicion and fat injection on some lower cheek acne scars. It worked. I'm happy with everything, and all of his carefully thought out techniques definitely proved themselves in longevity. I will be making an appointment to return for a top-off after the one year mark, but man- this was a absolutely the best money I've spent on a cosmetic procedure.

The texture, especially under my eyes was becoming uneven and crepey. Thanks to Dr. D and his top tier team, I had a great experience with the laser. 8 weeks post procedure, the renewed brilliance and glow of my skin is remarkable and I get complimented on it all the time. My insurance required a note from Dr. McCoy stating it was medically OK for me to get it in 2014. She refused and said I should have found a way to get the mammogram on Dec. 29, 30 or 31st. I lost my discount because of her refusal. A doctor that is that inflexible is not someone I want to go to about medical issues. Everything in medicine is not black or white. I would be afraid she would be more worried about being right than doing the right thing.

After several cancellations due to personal conflicts and after researching alternative practices and processes, I decided to go in a different (and what I believe is a better direction) to address my health concerns. When I called to request a credit, I was put on hold, the call dropped, I called back and was transferred to another employee only to find out that there was a different understanding of the credit to be provided. After about an hour, I received a callback from Shane the Business Manager about my request. He indicated that I would only be receiving a $200 credit, not $300 as I expected. After much discussion, he indicated that the $200 credit was final and he would issue a check. I told him I did not agree with this decision and explained that I would be providing a review/ complaint about this business practice. I recommended that the staff should explain this business practice with patients before receiving care so this practice it is clearly understood.
