I went here for their lunch buffet (which as of today 9/2026 buffet is only Tuesday-Friday from 11am-3pm). The buffet they serve: -Naan -Rice -Dal Makhani -Paneer Tikka Masala -Goat Curry -Butter Chicken -Rice Pudding The food tasted amazing! Everything was very delicious. The butter chicken I liked how they included whole spices and was very delicious. The goat curry was very soft and was good. The Dal Makhani was also good. The Dal wasn't overcooked and they threw in some slices of ginger. The paneer was good. I really liked the rice pudding. You can taste the cardamom and cinnamon they put and was delicious. Naan was also good, buttery naan. Inside offers a lot of seating. Very clean inside and plenty of TVs to watch sports, movies what ever. They also offer outdoor seating. For $15.99 you are getting a good value, and it's safe here being inside Hiddenbrook. One thing I will say is the parking lot inside is small and since they have a yoga/fitness place across, the parking becomes full. Lucky there is street parking withing walking distance, though walking back to the car after lunch was another story. read more

I door dashed this spot today to finally try it out and I thought the butter chicken would be the star of the show, while the butter chicken was good, it was bit too sweet for my personal palate What slapped was the saag and both my mom and I really enjoyed it!! It paired nicely with rice. Their samosas were just ok, and their naan was fresh. Next time I want to try the lamb curry! read more

Destination restaurant but well worth it. This place is pure quality from the moment you walk in, with warm greetings and a good vibe. Service was friendly, quick, and attentive. From its glasses to its silverware, I knew we were getting a good meal before the food dropped. We ordered a couple apps, three entrees and a few sides. Our group enjoyed everything and kindly declined the Togo boxes offered because we ate it all. Butter Chicken Blockbuster is a great addition to this area and when I come back to this side of the Bay, I'll be sure to stop by again. read more

Came by on a Tuesday for dinner with friends and it's tucked away in Hiddenbrooke. Parking can be a bit tricky when it's busy. It's in a quiet part of the neighborhood and there's other stores nearby. Staff immediately greeted us, checked on us often, and honored our request for serving spoons. The cutlery and water pitchers felt very clean and fancy. Inside was spacious and clean as well, with outdoor seating facing the neighborhood. Food was quite tasty, with options for spice level. The buttery chicken was a favorite! The butter naan could have had a bit more butter, and the fish pakora was a bit salty. The veggies for the salmon tandoori was also pretty good, and the lamb was not gamey. Pricing was also decent. They also offered us take out boxes and bags, brought the terminal over to us to pay, and provided a paper receipt when asked. I also wished they offered a naan basket option to try the different flavors. Would love to come back to try other dishes! read more

So far I've come here for takeout 3 times in the last 2 weeks! Each time we enjoyed the food. I'm writing a review for my most recent visit and no complaints whatsoever. Well, we learned from our 2nd visit that a medium spicy vindaloo was TOO spicy for us so I made sure I got all my dishes in Mild spice level today. The mild tikka masala was consistent but I would have liked more chicken. Delicious sauce and consistency and perfect with the basmati rice and naan. I really liked the tenderness of the meat in the goat biryani, but again I would have liked more goat meat in the dish. The dining area is spacious and they kept the same tables and chairs from the prior Thai restaurant that this used to be. I appreciate how they added LED lighting, an Open sign at the street window and some large TV screens behind what used to be a bar. Every time I pickup my food, both host/hostesses were really friendly. Whether I'm ordering via phone or online on doordash, it was really simple. read more

Great addition to the area. The restaurant is fresh and new! The staff is a little shy, but friendly. I'm sure it's just a bit of stage fright as they just recently opened. The food was good. They customized the heat level too. Their portions were of a decent size for the price. They had a good variety on their menu too. Looking forward to going back and trying other menu items. read more

Yesterday we finally tired. Food and drinks are absolutely delicious. We got the strawberry lassie (milky drink), iced coffee - butter chicken, chicken vindaloo , fish Pekora (so good). Service was great. We sat down immediately. Provided water non stop. Loved it. Ambiance is clean big and cool which is refreshing after being outside warm. Televisions w sports playing. We're talking about going again today. Yummy read more

Love. This. Place! We were at the restaurant on their opening night. Our meal was amazing but the build-up was such that they were overwhelmed. So, we gave them a couple of weeks to work out the kinks and ordered take out last week. It was spectacular! We kept it simple: butter chicken (obviously!), veggie pakora, rice and butter naan. Everything was delicious. The staff are good people, the value is great and we are thrilled to have a good Indian restaurant here in the village. This will be our go-to spot! read more

I took my son, who is a big fan of Indian cuisine here to try out the lunch buffet. Lunch buffets at Indian restaurants are always a great value and a way to try out other dishes you normally wouldn't order. The buffet is $16.99. Today they had Rice, Naan, salad, Butter Chicken, Goat Curry, Paneer Tikka Masala and Chana Masala. Staff was friendly, server brought out 2 glasses and a pitcher of water after we picked a table. The one thing that stood out for me, the plates, glassware and silverware were very clean. As for the food, it was just ok. Flavors and spices just didn't pop like Indian food normally does. Maybe geared toward a more "western" palette. Overall it''s still very good value for a quick lunch and worth a try. read more

What a nice surprise in this neighborhood. Came for the first tome today, a week after the grand opening. My famiy ordered the following: Pani puri Fish pakora Butter chicken Chicken tikka masala Tandoori chicken Garlic naan Bullet naan Mango lassis I felt like we ordered too much chicken. We really wanted the butter chicken, and ordered the chicken tikka masala for my 9 year old who only eats that. Between all the chicken dishes we got, I definitely recommend the butter chicken. And if you love spice, I highly recommend it with bullet naan. I also never had pani puri, so that was something nice and new to try. My 4 year old really liked the fish pakora and his mango lassi. Our waiter was nice, and overall we had a good experience. read more

Butter Chicken Blockbuster is new to Hiddenbrooke/Vallejo, and we're so lucky to have them! We've already enjoyed several delicious meals there, and the staff is always very polite, friendly, and accommodating. I usually order the tandoori chicken tikka, and it has been excellent every time. The chicken is flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly--never dry or overdone. My husband always orders the masala chai, which he loves, along with the paneer tikka masala. And the naan is exactly the way we like it--fresh, soft, and delicious. We're very happy to have this new restaurant in the neighborhood. It is definitely worth a try! read more

We recently moved to the area and found this great place right around the corner. I checked it out by myself first and was able to take a nice walk over to Butter Chicken Blockbuster and enjoy the view while dining outside and experiencing tasty dishes like the Aloo tikki and Fish masala with plain basmati rice. Lovely start to ongoing family visits here that are sure to come. Attentive and kind service. Great sized portions and balanced flavors. Look forward to coming back with the whole crew. I highly recommend you check them out. read more

I'm really glad I gave this restaurant a second chance. My first experience was rough. Four of us visited the day after their grand opening, and they were clearly dealing with some major service issues. Our food took about 50 minutes to arrive, and it seemed like their systems weren't working properly. A soft opening probably would have helped them iron out some of those early problems. Fast forward to now, and the difference is night and day. I'm no expert on Indian food, but I really enjoy the fresh, flavorful ingredients and the fact that everything arrives hot and well prepared. The portions are very generous, and the quality of the food has been excellent every time I've visited. On a previous visit, I ordered the salmon--wow. It was a huge portion, perfectly cooked, and honestly deserves to be one of the highlights of the menu. There are still a couple of areas that could be improved. The acoustics aren't great, so when the restaurant is full it can get pretty loud because the noise echoes throughout the space. The décor could also use a little more personality. That said, I'm looking forward to working my way through more of the menu. Food: Excellent Portions: Generous Prices: More than reasonable Parking: Can be challenging if the neighboring yoga studio has classes in session Highly recommend. If you enjoy Indian food, it's worth checking out for yourself. They've clearly worked through the growing pains from opening week, and I wish them continued success. I love having a local, diverse, high-quality dining option nearby instead of having to drive out of town and pay higher prices. read more

Yesterday we played golf at Hiddenbrook. At the entrance to the community we noticed a new Indian restaurant, Butter Chicken Blockbust. They have been open 6 days. It was fabulous. The people were very nice. The dinner was extremely delicious. We had the Lamb Buryani, Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. Obviously we ordered way too much, but we do love leftovers. We will definitely be back. Give them a try. You won't regret it. read more

I love this hidden gem. I don't understand why it's not always full with all these beautiful houses around it. My cousin and I went for lunch and they had there all you can eat lunch special. $15.99 and the all you can eat menu items change. We also ordered off there regular menu and we left full and in love with the restaurant. The waiters have us some great suggestions. She suggested we try the Gobhi Manchurian with us cauliflower fried in chickpea flour I believe but omg!! I'm not a fan of cauliflower but this was so good. I can even trick my husband to think its chicken if I don't say anything to him about it. We also had the fish Pakora and we fell in love with that also. The fish was perfectly seasoned and the sauce that came with it was so good. It was a very very strong mint and I love mint so I was happy about it. I only think it cleared all my sinuses as well. We had the chicken seekh kabobs, they were ok, the tandoori shrimp was amazing!!! So red and colored with yummy smokey flavors and we love the cholay Bhature which the waitress also suggested. Overall and great restaurants to lunch and dinner. Quick lunch date, work lunch, family dinner and etc. Truly a must try. read more

Delicious food!!!!!!!!!!!! sooooo good! Go try!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are awesome people. I recommend the butter chicken.

I ordered samosas, naan, raita and chicken seikh kabob. Most of it was good, especially the samosas. They were brown and krispy on the outside. The downside was the chicken seikh kabob. I ordered over the phone and told them I have no tolerance for spicy hot food. I wish it wasn't so. I requested very mild. I got the food home and to my disappointment the chicken was so hot and salty I could not eat it. Even if it had been mild the saltiness might have made it inedible on its own. I tried it tonight as a leftover. I squeezed a bunch of lemon on it. The saltiness had mellowed a bit but the heat did not. Despite my one disappointment I will try it again and order something different. I will definitely order the samosas again. read more

We are from out of town, decided to try out this new place. It was incredible! Don't let the gate house scare you away, we were ushered through easily and the restaurant is directly to the right. Started with the lentil fritter appetizer, which was very light and a delicious texture. For the entree we got chicken tikka masala, karahi chicken, rice (which smelled seasoned with cardamom), and garlic naan, with a mango lassi to drink. Everything was extremely flavorful, portions were great, staff were kind and helpful and service was very fast. Everything is brand new and extremely clean as well! Plenty of seating options. I wish we weren't just visiting so we could go here all the time! read more

Great service, flavorful food! I ordered take out and it was fabulous. We had the butter chicken, so yummy! We will definitely order again!

Located in the Hiddenbrooke plaza away from civilization. The food was meh. I ordered palak paneer and it had zero texture at all, no signs of any life. It was basically a smoothie. The service was good. They also didn't have a lot of common dishes and not many vegan options either. read more

I can't say enough about how good this restaurant is.. the food is amazing and the service is excellent, we have had the pleasure of working with jaiya (not sure if I'm spelling her name correctly) every time we go there and we go there all a lot because we love it. She is so welcoming and warm. You feel like you're going to your friends home. Her service is impeccable. She's so kind and considerate to us patrons, and remembers what our favorite dishes are it is just a pleasure to go and eat at Blockbuster butter chicken not just the food, but the staff is amazing too. read more

Came by today to give this new spot a try. Always looking for good eats in the area and this was recommended to us. Food is delicious! I love their samosas and butter chicken. I ordered medium spicy which is perfect for me. Strongly recommended!!

I'm so disappointed. We were looking forward to trying this place but didn't like any of the food that we ordered. We tried the tandoori chicken, lamb vindaloo and aloo tikki. The tandoori chicken came on a fajita platter (???) and lacked any flavor whatsoever -- it tasted as though there wasn't any seasoning on it. I've never had bland tandoori chicken before. Even squeezing lemon juice on it did not help. The lamb vindaloo sauce came in a very bright red sauce that looked unnatural, and the lamb itself was tough. The aloo tikki tasted okay but the presentation was messy and unappetizing. It looked like someone had literally thrown the ingredients on a platter. Unfortunately we can't recommend it and will not be back. read more

Soooo goood! And the service is BOMB!!! Friendly staff, great vibes, and everything was delicious!

Ordered for samosas, tandoori chicken and chicken biryani. Samosa must have been baked multiple times, crust was so hard and filling so dry. Chicken on tandoori was probably frozen and reheated , the meat overcooked. Biryani was tasteless, chicken was ok. We had to recook the whole thing and add some spice which luckily mi esposa knew how to make it taste like real biryani. Goodluck on your business tho'. We happen to be a snob when it comes to quality. read more
