As a long time broker in Butte County, I've noticed a slow, but progressive graduation of standards for house photography. Butte Virtual Tours has played a big part in that transformation with their outstanding attention to details--like waiting for the best light--proper angles, attention to the focal point in a room, etc. Many of the top realtors in the area continue to use their services, cause they realize the huge role professional photography plays in the marketing of a home. In fact, I'd be confident to say that the homes will attain more interest, thus more showings and fetch the highest price due in part to the outstanding photos, and also staging of the home (which a smart realtor will coordinate). It is sad to see that so many realtors still take their own photos with a smart phone--such a poor and lazy way to represent an asset worth several hundred thousand dollars. Professional photography will more than pay for itself--not just through adding value to the listings, but also to demonstrate the real estate company's competence in the marketing of their product.
