He was right, the plumbing is old. He did a quick check on flow and he says the flow is fine and did not need snaked. I had stated to him that Snaking it has fixed it in the past and that normally fixes it for a period of time. he gave me an estimate on snaking the pipe that wasn't that bad. He also suggested that the wall box for the washer needed to be raised. I said that seems like an easy fix and then all went to hell, he started accusing me of arguing with him and then said if I was so smart and wanted to do everything myself there was no reason for him to be there. I had no want to do it myself since this is the reason I called him as this is a rental property that I have been working on for a few days. then he basically went to full yelling . Even going to the point of asking me if I was threatening him. Also said I cannot be from Tennessee because of how I was acting. This tech has a very weird and slight anger trigger that is not good for customers and he had a young boy with him that should never been exposed to this kind of none sense. Hopefully he was just having a bad day and can get some control, as a customer I was very disturbed by his action because a customer should be able to ask a question without verbal assault.

He told me upfront his availability & the cost to replace the 2 outdoor faucets would be around $275 total ($85 per faucet & labor). I texted him to clarify the work I was requesting after that initial call, which he acknowledged. Upon the appt however, he informed me AFTER the work was complete that the charge was double the original quoted price due to "extra fittings." In my opinion it was unprofessional to not communicate this upfront (prior to starting or finishing the work) and although he took some $ off and apologized, it felt off to me. I understand prices can change upon a situation however, please talk to the client directly prior to the work or ASAP. I contacted Matthew for a paper trail afterwards to clarify materials used & he proceeded to tell me that I initially only requested 1 faucet (why the price was different than expected) when I have documentation showing my initial text with date confirming 2 faucets. Apart from the communication topics, the work appears to be resolved decently enough. I want to support local family businesses yet would have reservations using this company again. I hope this situation inspires improved communication.

My husband was especially happy with the quality of the Mitsubishi mini-split installation, which says a lot given our previous experiences. It was a blisteringly hot summer, and our A/C malfunctioned in early May of 2025. Our unit was less…read morethan two years old. A high end heat pump/A/C with apparently no customer service within 60 miles. While some technicians found a faulty blower motor (still under warranty), the service department of this manufacturer made the process very difficult. 90 days without A/C. With said motor replaced, the A/C worked for a few days before it stopped blowing cold air. This is now five months without A/C. Called Daniels Heating and Air, the technicians came out the next day and recharged a depleted coolant R-410, and for a week it cooled great. But soon it became apparent that the unit had a leak. After consulting with the manufacturer representative, they agreed to ship a brand new unit ($14-18,000) and it was shipped to Daniels Heating and Air. When it arrived, they brought out the unit, and installed it in short order. It was installed at no cost to us. The technicians that we interacted with were great, and so we recommend Daniels Heating and Air without reservation. I will also get a quote on regular maintenance agreement for the A/C and the split units we have. "You can have happy heating and air, where the service is great and prices are fair." M. H

He wasn't able it fix his mess. I needed my water to be turned back on so I called this company. He was very nice on the phone but nice soonest mean anything these days. I didn't know it was over $940 when I hired them. I feel they took advantage of my situation. For them to put in new values system and faucet. With cheap plastics knobs and super dated look. It doesn't even look nice. He was there less then 3 hours. The adjacent bedroom had a plumbing cubby in the wall. It was really easy for him to get access to this area as well. It was an old delta faucet system that need to be changed out because plastic values were leaking. The second bath (master) I hired another licensed Plummer and with everything out the door same job it was $300. I even have a nicer update looking faucet. Even…read morethough the Yelp sent out bid requests to several other plumbers, I had already settled on Shaver based on the reviews. I asked for an estimate when I called their office to set an appointment. I was told there would be an $89 trip/diagnostic charge and then they would charge me for the work, which they said they would tell me once the service tech checked out my issue (Leaky outdoor faucet). So I was fine with that because I had a degree of trust since the reviews were so good. And I had received a flat rate estimate by then from a competitor for $220. So I'm thinking in the ballpark of $200 which was fine. The guys who came over were on time, personable and professional. I liked them. However when they were finished estimating the service, it came to $489. This was just too far out of the realm of possibility that I just paid them the diagnostic fee and am having a friend come do the faucet replacement for me. $50 part and I'll grill some burgers.
