Echoing my fellow yelper Isabel's sentiments, looking at it from both the outside and inside, Butler's does look rather dated. The shop front is quite plain and the interior is similarly pastel-coloured.
The food sold in Butler's however is a lot better than the shop itself suggests, with them offering a good selection of pastries, sausage rolls and pies at cheap prices for anyone heading to or from the train station. They also sell sandwiches in various shapes and sizes, with a range of fillings on offer there all for a reasonably cheap price (and a lot fresher tasting than your local Subway). They also do a very nice cooked breakfast there; for those of you up early enough, I strongly recommend it.
There is a very local, home run feel about the place which is nice (last time I went in the woman couldn't quite remember the cost of my sandwich so just accepted two pounds), but there are better places close by. read more
