I will say this from the get-go. The products they offer for rent, the price was good and most of the employees that I spoke to there were very professional and nice. Two major fails! One, I requested that the items be delivered inside the house, which they said no problem. The delivery guys, not only did they not deliver them inside the house (left outside) but missed the delivery window by an hour and half (early). Two, when I called to inquire as to why it was not delivered inside the house and they were early, I was met with a very rude and nasty attitude by a woman. When I asked if this is how she treats customers, she told me that she treats customers the way they treat her. I was in no way nasty to her. I just wanted some answers. She became very short and nasty right away. She also said, I'm not the owner so you're complaining to the wrong person. I will never ever do any business with them. Sad, I really like their product offerings and their prices. Was looking forward to doing business with them next year for a big party but, nope. I as a customer should never have to be treated with disrespect. I was walking by with my 15 y/o daughter and my 3 m/o while Butler Rents was putting up a tent. I've seen their trucks around town but haven't ever really worked with them but after this interaction, I can guarantee they will never be getting my service if I were to ever need it. Its one thing to cat call me, I'm used to it, its another to cat call my 15 year old daughter repeatedly as we walk by. You need to take a good HARD look at your crew. I swung back around and asked one of the younger white men the names of the older two hispanic men that cat called my daughter and I believe it was Havier and Ernest? Something like that but you need to check them out. The young man I spoke to apologized for his fellow crewmen and it seemed to me like this isn't an uncommon occurrence. It turned out that they were out of the cheap metal chairs we ordered so we got a free upgrade to slightly better plastic seats. Mr. P picked everything up on Friday afternoon and we didn't have to return it all until Monday morning (and we were only charged for a one day rental). You will have to pay an extra charge if you don't clean the grill before you return it, which is more than fair. They have your dance floor and a bubble machine. Need some carnival food? They have popcorn, cotton candy and Sno-Cone machines. Getting married? I spent a great deal of time selecting the table cloth colors and calculating the measurements of tables. Make two trips to Butler to make sure it's just right. Presentation is everything! I paid, then she sends me back to the warehouse to pick up my order. They didn't have what I paid for in stock cleaned. The man seemed to think he was doing me a favor giving me longer table cloths. They dragged on the floor and looked ridiculous. I was pissed. If you are forced to rent here, demand a stock check well in advance. Better yet go someplace else. We've used Butler Rents at two Pool Parties held at the property I work at and they have been awesome both times. The first time they arrived, when scheduled, and set everything up exactly as we requested it. They returned promptly to remove the items we rented so our pool deck could return to normal. The second time we used them, we needed to find a 10 x 20 tent at the very last minute. They worked hard and had somebody out THE SAME DAY to set up the tent., and they didn't even charge us a premium for the last minute notice. IMPRESSIVE! A great event rental company with wonderful customer service! Many other tent rental companies in this area do not have good communication or they aren't accommodating to your specific needs. I called three other tent companies, and they did not have what I was looking for. Not only did the company secure all the necessary permits in a short amount of time, but they were able to set up the tent at the site without drilling the pavement - something other tent companies weren't willing to do. Unfortunately, we recently had a terrible experience with Butler Rents, renting 40 Resin folding chairs. We requested they deliver the chairs prior to 12:00 pm due to an investor meeting later that afternoon at our office. At 5:00, the chairs were still not delivered with no ETA as to when they would arrive. I placed four calls throughout the day asking for an update and couldn't seem to get an answer as to when they would arrive. We were told several times they were right down the street, only to continue to wait for several hours with no delivery truck in sight. The chairs were finally delivered after 5:30 pm- 6 hours after the delivery window we were promised and right in the middle of our investor meeting. Frustrating to wait all day without an ETA or update. We won't be using Butler Rents again. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Stephanie from Butler Rents is the rudest person I have dealt with in a long time. They just lost a corporate customer due to her attitude. First, the company delivered the tables late, although they promised me beforehand they would be delivered by a certain time. Then, after my event was over, I noticed additional charges on my credit card and called to find out what was going on. The reason ended up being additional tax; however, Stephanie proceeded to rail against me saying that they have the right to make additional charges without notifying me and when I asked why she didn't send me an updated invoice, she said, "well I can send it now!" We rented items here for our wedding. We got tablecloths, along with a few random items that we needed for our venue - some cocktail tables and something else I can't remember. I was lucky that family picked up and dropped off the items for me, but they all said it was really easy and everything was ready. I called and reserved the items in advance, and they were very helpful on the phone, answering all of my questions. Went over what I needed over and over again. The customer service representative reads it from a screen that is facing him not me. I ask again we have the bowls for the soup that I'm renting items to serve the soup out of, yes. We have the dessert bowls that I'm renting the dessert spoons for? Again yes. Several times. Yes I should have read it after I was told yes it's all there. Drive to the other side of Denver to prepare for a last minute event (they were accommodating this) and get there with no bowls, no soup ladle, no dessert bowls. Small event for 15 people, had to change the menu hours before serving. No accountability on their part. Like oh yeah well you should have quadruple checked and asked us more than 6 times if you wanted the order right. Smh. Such a disappointment for someone who is in the customer service business. I am having a wedding reception on September 14th and called several times in the beginning of June and got told several times "the tent coordinator isn't in" and not asked for a single bit of my information to get back to me. I even sent info from their online inquiry section and heard nothing. I finally got ahold of someone close to the end of June who told me I didn't need to place a tent order until the week before my event!! I have worked for many years with Butler Rents. This last time was horrible. We rented a canopy to work an outside event. As we where setting up the tent we noticed that many of the bolts that where holding it together where gone. It was lucky we had a supply of zip ties. Then, the side walls for the tent where not the correct ones. It maybe simply renting a canopy to Butler, yet to me it is about the safety for my employees.
