The woman at the front desk was really nice and offered me a larger room and some free snacks. The next morning I went to get breakfast before going to the workout room to do some cardio. The server up-charged me ($11) for a small bowl of fruit stating that the amount she put was equivalent to two bowls. Then, the bartender kept being very rude asking if my fruit was "perfect enough this time" and kept trying to get my attention in a very hostile manner. The bartender proceeded to mock me for taking a picture of my fruit bowl. Side note- the bartender looked like she was about 60 years old. The maturity level was absent. The Thursday morning breakfast crew were very unprofessional, unaccommodating, hostile, and belligerent. I would recommend learning better customer service skills.

SENIORS, MILITARY & TRAVELERS BEWARE! Arrived at Candlewood…read moreSuites in Tupelo, Mississippi on 15 Nov 2024. The location was convenient and near the interstate. We didn't think much of it at the time but did notice some roofing company trucks parked together with several men gathered around in the rear parking area. The receptionist Kayla was very pleasant and the suite we stayed in was nice as well. We learned the laundry area had three washers & dryers which were free to use. This is when our problem began: When planned to do one load of laundry but the same roofing company workers, 4-5 young men were using all three washers and dryers. So we waited and about an hour only to find the same men there but now there were 6-8 men hanging around. My spouse and I are older seniors and I am a disabled veteran and was traveling thru without any means to really protect ourselves other than our dog who loves everybody. There was no security or protection and we noticed more of these men. We asked one of them if we could use one washer. We decided to sit in the already crowded laundry room and wait there. Finally one of them allowed us to use one washer. We started our one load of clothes but when we came back to check on it 15 minutes later we saw someone had unplugged the washing machine.. we asked them politely what the problem was. One guy said "no English" and thats when I let them know, in english, that we didn't want any problems and just wanted to finish our one load of clothes. One of the smaller men plugged the washer back in and we restarted the washer but were still being harassed. Two of these guys actually followed me down toward the hallway to the reception area. They followed me to the front desk and stopped to lean on the wall with their arms folded and starring at me. I spoke to Kayla at the desk. I told her what was occuring. The lobby was empty except for Kayla, myself and the two men. They continued to watch and wait there. At this point I felt quite intimidated and told her what was going on. Kayla then stated the hotel had experienced problems with the same group of men before and that the police had been called for disturbing the other hotel guests and problems with drugs and alcohol. She said she felt uncomfortable as well and seemed a little nervous. After hearing that I told her we weren't comfortable staying there any longer and let her know we were leaving immediately. I asked for my money back and we packed up to leave. It was late in the evening but I tried to place several phone calls from the safety of our vehicle. I spoke to one of their Hotel representatives and told him what was going on. He then transferred me to another lady representative and told her the same thing. I felt like I was wasting my time. I call the GM Porsha Fields number that was given to me at the desk. I left a message and never heard a word back. As we pulled out 4-6 guys began yelling at us in Spanish. We were definitely glad to leave this place. This hotel is completely unsafe. It is now December 10th 2024 AND NOW IT IS May 27 2025 and believe it or not we still haven't received one single callback or message from anyone from this hotel or the hotel chain. If I had the time I would have hired an attorney but we are just glad to be out of there. I'll never go back there and I hope that people that read this review understand this is absolutely an unsafe place and that this hotel and their chain don't care at all about their guests. Can you imagine nobody took the time or bothered to call or check on us? This place, the management and their company is a disgrace and they should be ashamed. If I could give a zero rating I definitely definitively would! See Yelp as well! Despite this incident happened 8 months ago and trying several times to contact them, we still haven't heard a word. As of July 9 2025 we still haven't heard a word!

From day one their professionalism and attention to detail put me at ease. I saw the plans but never dreamed that they would create a space that has so much opportunity and has such attention to detail. Upon first viewing the property and architecture are organic but the design possibilities are endless. Your event can be as rustic or elegant as you can imagine. The spaces are open and not over decorated allowing the event designer to create based on the client's personal style. The lighting is elegant yet intimate. There's plenty of power to bring in sound and lighting to create the desired ambience. The buildings are large with tall ceilings so we kept acoustics in mind as we designed the event. There's a commercial kitchen in Grey Manor and a catering kitchen in The Grand Hall and even a full "home" kitchen in the cabins. Our caterer used the kitchens and set up a tent, as well. Everything moved to perfection. It's not a commercial building in an urban setting but there are parking options and Mark was a huge help in thinking through the logistics. More than anything it's the perfect place for meetings, reunions, social gatherings and especially to make memories. Wedding Planners, Event Designers and Caterers alike will surely enjoy making magic at The Antler. Tim Pierce Signature Designs, Inc. Memphis, TN www.thehousewaslovely.com

Facility is ok, not a lot of space but would suffice. After booking we made plans for months but as it got closer, covid numbers started to spike so the owner and I spoke after my family and I agreed to cancel the event. She promised to return the money paid and after 2 months I'm still going back and forth with her and she continues to change her story, avoid messages, won't return calls or messages and still has yet to honor her word. Not only is she very unprofessional but she's not trustworthy and apparently spends the money and can't raise the funds to give you back what you've paid. Do yourself a favor and run from this place and woman, however she hopefully won't be in business long enough to dupe others. Definitely a waste of money and time. I have recently found out this business has not been approved to have events abs has gotten in trouble for subleasing for parties. Once again run, don't do business with her!!!

There's a bar in the center (sadly didn't get to enjoy it because I was here to take my MCAT). Everything was clean and it was very quiet. Your room has its own a/c unit which was perfect because I like it super cold and quick. The bed was so comfortable to sleep in. And I liked the layout of the room. Plenty of places to sit/lounge. The desk was movable(on wheels) which was nice so it could go by the window to get work done. The view wasn't the best but I did like the fact that 1. I could see my car from my room since it was in the same side 2. It had shades as well as sheer shades as well so if you wanted to completely block out the sun you could. Or if you want the natural light with a little more privacy (like me) it suits either style. Also it's not far from eating places or Kroger's/Walmart/CVS/Walgreens which was nice and convenient. All in all, glad I chose to stay here. PS. If you wanna know how the breakfast is don't ask me. It was an extra 5.46 to add it to the stay and I didn't wanna chance it‍. But REALLY FOR THAT PRICE OF STAY WHY MY BREAKFAST AINT INCLUDED??

Instead of fixing the bed they just put a piece of duck tape on it. We come through Tupelo all the time but this was our first stay at this hotel. Unfortunately it will definitely be the last.
