The email sent said mantels "were shipped" but damaged beyond repair. Now these mantels when shipped are in crates. Then I was told new mantels were going to be made, now mind you I NEVER received confirmation of shipment. This mystery person (owner of the company) said that a friend died. Interesting, after I cancel. I get an email showing one built mantel, not finished, and another mantel in pieces. Now remember, he had just told me the mantels were destroyed in shipping. It is very unprofessional to set improper expectations, but it is a serious character flaw to stoop so low to fabricate deaths to account for the lack of customer service.
