Dominique pretty much said what I want to say. The receptionist yells at me easily, and has messed up several times with my requests. For example, once a specialist I was seeing requested an exam for me that has to go through my primary care, but she was unable to schedule for the right type of exam or the right position to be examed as requested by the specialist; She would insist I don't need my medical number to set up the online record account despite that I was telling her I'm sitting right in front of my computer on that webpage while being prompted from registering requiring me to type in my MRN. I also had experiences that I had an appointment spot during a first phone call, then 2 minutes later I called her again but was told the spot was gone while we were talking, while I clearly said in the previous phone call that I'll keep the potential appointment for the moment and get back to her after I clarified some stuff, and she said ok for that.
The doctor is ok, like Dominique was saying, but I also feel he kind of lacks personality. As my primary care I'm hoping there'd be more personalized interactions. I mean, yeah sure it's good that he can explain to patients in a very simple way, but I think he really doesn't need to explain those basic neuroendocrinology concepts to me in such a way as if he's teaching some potentially not very well educated patients, while I'm a PhD in Neuroscience. I'm not saying anything about people's education or intelligence, but it's the same concept that you don't talk to an adult in the same way you talk to a 3-yr-old, because it's common sense that they don't understand things to the same level--as long as you know who you are talking to. read more
