Tried this place for the first and last time as of five minutes ago. I initially tried to book a ride through this car service'a website. In order to do this, I had to first make an account and share my card details. Ok cool. After going through that process and booking the screen is buffering and says its finding my ride. After about 11 minutes waiting for an update, I decided to call to check on my ride status. The dispatcher cut me off mis sentence to have me repeat all the trip info again, then quoted me a fare that was 7 dollars higher than what i pre booked on the app. I had the screenshot of the fare , and let the dispatcher know what I was quoted online. He interrupted me to say "well idk if they're going to take the trip" you mean the trip that THEY set the price for to begin with ? So I ask him if I pay the 20$ what is the drivers eta he puts me on hold, i wait 5 more minutes and he picks up the phone thinking im a new customer. When Ask him about the driver eta about the new fare he hangs up on me. Please save yourself the time. DO NOT give these guys your card details. I was trying my hardest not to use uber and support local businesses instead. This isnt one of the safe ones at all. read more

I used to use this service years ago, and it was hit or miss, but not horrible. I figured they must have stepped up their game to compete with all the ride-hailing services, so decided to give them another try. Made a reservation for 7:30 this morning. When no one showed up at 7:40, I tried calling and calling but couldn't get through. Gave up and took the bus. At almost 8:00 they called to say they were outside. I can't even stress how much women should not take this car service. VERY long story short, I used this car service all the time, dealt with the delays and rude drivers until today when the driver LOCKED ME IN HIS CAR and refused to let me out. They wanted to charge me a fee to use a card, but then he wouldn't let me out of his car to go to the atm. I had to call the cops. Then, he unlocked the door but snatched my laptop bag out of my hands. All this because he (very wrongly) thought I was trying to run on a 10 dollar fare. Good car service for the area. In the times of UBER and lyft, this service is pretty reliable in charging you a flat rate to the airport. I would prefer to ride with them because they do not overcharge..Just make sure you look at the fares online before you call. read more

THE WORSE CAR SERVICE EVER!!! They tell you a car is coming in 5 minutes and never comes. You call them about it they put you on hold then come back and says 2 minutes. Still no car! Call back and they don't answer your calls anymore but when you call from a different number they answer. Tell them you called 30 minutes ago for a car they say 3 minutes and still no car. Do NOT rely on this car service. Might as well take the bus! If you don't want customers just say "no car available" instead of having us wait over 30 minutes still no car and wasting our time calling back and they ignore your calls. VERY unprofessional. Whenever I call Thai taxi place they say 5-8 minutes and they usually come 30minuted through one hour late as well, some of the taxi drivers are very rude as well, even when I have taken the taxi each time I pick to go to the same location they raised it from $20 to $45 and they know that i take it repeatedly I don't know why they raised it so high, don't waste your time with them they take forever and raise their prices too high read more

The kind of driver you get is either a hit or miss, usually a miss, which baffles me because don't you want a good tip?! I dread calling the dispatcher since they're fairly rude the majority of the time. I always have to be prepared to speak fast otherwise you have to call back because they basically hang up on you after you provide your address. Regardless of your location, it's always "5 minutes" which is hardly ever the case. Be sure to let them know if you're traveling with a pet or paying with a credit card since only certain cars/drivers can accommodate this ($2 pet fee and $1 credit card fee). Most of the drivers are Spanish speakers so it may be difficult to communicate at times. read more

If you speak fluent spanish and can communicate, more power to you--use this car service! Secondly, the last time I called... the address did not compute to my hombre. I repeat did not compute (with a GPS, and two people telling him the address). The driver drove me through an unknown alley way, and on multiple occasions stared down at the GPS instead of looking at the road on a VERY RAINY day forcing me to fear that my last day on earth would be in a car with a hispanic man in Ridgewood in a dark alley way. I've also been hung up on multiple times whilst trying to get a car, they lack direction and common sense. And it's a shame, because they used to be a great car service. I've been using this car service for years and I will say that they are generally on time with the estimated arrival. However literally 9 times out of 10 the driver tells me a higher price than the determined price from the dispatcher. I go to the airport a lot and it should be $30-$32, and consistently every single time I go to the airport, the driver tells me $35, $38, even $40. Last week was the last time I will use this service. I had just broken my leg and the next day I needed a ride to the orthopedic , I asked for the fare price and was told $30. When we get there the driver tells me it is $40. I say the dispatcher told me it was $30 and he says no way, it is $40. I called the dispatcher and he agrees that it is $30 but asks me to pay $35- seriously ridiculous. At least he asked for the driver's number. It is absolutely unbelievable that the drivers can get away with padding the fares. Ultimately it probably speaks to the low wages that the company is paying the drivers. And lastly the dispatcher overnight is so bad! I always seem to get the same guy, who talks a mile a minute and hangs up on you for no apparent reason! Definitely cannot use them again. read more

I was loyal to Priscilla Car service but dirty cars and late arrival just got on my last nerve. So, them came FENIX: there awesome! So, this morning I wanted to try another service. It's important to have more then one car service in the roster. So, I decided to give Bushwick car service a try. The driver was clueless as to where I was going; Then he charged me 15.00 dollars and the going rate us 10-11 dollars. And yes I called the dispatcher and he too confirmed the 15.00 price. I spoke to the manager and nicely explained that there are over 10 different car services in the area and the rate for where I was going is 11.00 dollars. He was mum for a sec and told me he would speak to the powers that be. Fair is fair. I believe it's important to look out for my pocket and my fellow Bushwick peeps! :-) read more

I always prefer Northside, but since they are extremely busy and do'nt always have cars in the area, sometimes I have no choice but to use Buskwick. The service is so bad, sometimes it borders on comical. When I have to use them, I just think "I wonder what terrible experience I am about to have?". Sometimes your drivers don't speak a lick of English, sometimes they show up with a friend in the passenger seat, sometimes they have a condom wrapper in the back seat and sometimes they give you just plain attitude. Used Bushwick Car Service to & from LaGuardia airport. The service there was perfectly fine, except the car was approximately 10 minutes late. The trip back from LaGuardia airport was TERRIFYING. Confirmed with the dispatcher that the fare would be $25, which it also states on the company's website. The driver called me back to confirm that he would be at LGA in 15 minutes, however it was difficult to understand him because he only spoke broken English. When he arrived, he drove to the wrong terminal. When he finally arrived at the correct terminal to pick me up, his car was super jacked up. The dashboard was lit up saying it needed an oil change with a big bright "!". Needless to say, the car wasn't exactly in tip-top working condition. What made that worse was the reckless driving! I question whether this driver legally has a license because I am thankful to be alive. He was weaving in and out of traffic and speeding in the left lane doing 65mph on the Jackie Robinson Highway (for anyone familiar with this roadway, its basically one big snakey highway of S curves.) Thought about asking him to slow down, but just hoped it would be over soon. Once we pulled up to my apartment, after reading other Yelp reviews who said that the drivers jack up the prices I made sure to get my luggage out of the trunk before paying him because he then demanded that the price was $30. I told him that the dispatcher quoted $25 and showed him the website but he proceeded to scream at me, and I ran away, just thankful I was still alive to share this Yelp review with ya'll. The worst! Dispatch tells me one price but when we get to the location the driver tells me a price almost double the quoted price. The driver calls dispatch and asks him why I was quoted a price of $18 not $34 and dispatch hangs up on him. The driver was apologetic but since I was already late for class and had no time to spend fighting the ridiculous increase, I had no choice but to pay. Call a more honorable place. We took the service to the airport, and overall it was good. my biggest issue: the car was in TERRIBLE shape. not dirty, but really kind of beaten up inside & out. The driver was aloof (which was fine), but she knew the route and got us there quickly. Will use this service again, and cross our fingers for a better vehicle. read more

I don't understand all the hate here. I use these guys all the time, even have their number in my phone. They're almost always on time, and I've never had serious issues. They also will come out and pick you up from the airport if you call ahead a good 10 or 15 minutes in advance. Quite a bit cheaper than a regular cab. We had a horrendous experience with them trying to get to the airport and will never use them again for anything remotely important. I called a day in advance asking for a car at 5:15 am the next day to the Newark Airport. No problem, they said. Fast forward to to 5:00 am the next day. We get a call confirming our car for 5:30, and we correct them on the mistake. They say they will have someone there in 15 minutes. 20 minutes go by, and we get another call saying that they will be there in 5 minutes. We sit by the window and wait. 25 more minutes go by. No car has come, and we call again. The operator said that the driver pulled up, called, got no answer, assumed we had cancelled and left. We received no such call (after the two we received in which we confirmed our reservation, that is.) We stand outside in the rain and wait for 10 more minutes. The car finally shows up (40 minutes late in all) and takes my wife to the airport, only to charge her $85 instead of the $65 as advertised, saying "it costs $15 just to have the car come." This account has been scrubbed clean of the profanity that we used prolifically so that all Yelpers will be able to heed our warning and avoid our horrible experience. read more

I had called the night before my flight for a car at 6am. I was sitting inside my apartment with my luggage (I only live on the 1st floor) waiting for the usual phone call to let me know the car is waiting outside. About 5 after 6am I decide to just go outside and wait. At 10 after I call to make sure they have a car coming. "The car is outside." That's the first thing the guy who answers my call says. No hello, no good morning. I tell him NO, I'm standing right outside my apartment and there is no car. I didn't get a phone call and I see no car. He insists that the car is there, so I ask if the driver can give a wave or stand up or something to let me know where he is? The dispatcher says hold on and then hangs up on me. I finally spot a car up the street and as I approach, the driver finally gets out. He doesn't even say anything and I have to verify myself that he's from Bushwick Car Service. We get to the airport fairly quickly so I'm planning on tipping nicely since the pickup problem wasn't necessarily the driver's fault. However he tries to overcharge me at $35 when I confirmed the night before that the flat rate from Bushwick to JFK was $30. Kind of shady. I think he was angry that I spoke up about the price because he dropped me off well away from the curb and did not help me with my bag. I've used Bushwick Car Service twice before and they've been great, but unfortunately my experience this morning will make me think twice about using them again. read more

The prime example a TERRIBLE Brooklyn car service...rarely on time and when you do call some angry Hispanic lady will say "5 minutes" and just hang up the phone on you. Sloppy and rude. I've been late to several appointments because of this awful business telling "5 minutes" and never showing. When you call back they will recognize your voice and just hang up the phone. Shameful. I live less that a block a way from the offices of this business and it is STILL impossible to determine when or even IF they will show but no matter what someone will tell you "5 minutes" Do yourself a favor and save your money for one of the many other services that provide the same low costs but are courteous and truthful with their customers. I love Bushwick Car Service. When I call them and they say they'll be at my door in five minutes, they're at my door in five minutes. I've never had a driver be anything but courteous and friendly, whether they're taking me to the airport, other neighborhoods in Brooklyn, or to the office in Manhattan when I've got too much stuff to take on the subway. These people are the worst. I've used them without problems in the past, but lately the service has just been horrific, and this weekend was the final straw. I called them at 4:30am for ride to the airport and got the usual "6 minutes" routine. They eventually showed up about 25 minutes and several phone calls later. And why were they so late? Because he was going to the wrong street, despite the fact that I even spelled out my street name for him every time I called. And this one was fun too - several months ago I called them for a ride to a friend's place in Astoria. I kid you not - the guy showed up drunk. Not only did he drive like a maniac, he got us totally lost. And I know Astoria isn't the most direction-friendly neighborhood, what with the streets and avenues and drives, but this guy was just out of control. We needed to get to 31st Avenue, and when we pass 33rd Avenue and the numbers are continuing to go up, we're clearly going in the wrong direction. But this guy insisted that it was right and that we needed to go over some bridge (??) even though we were already in Astoria. He was running over curbs and narrowly avoiding pedestrians. We eventually just asked him to pull over so we could jump in a yellow cab. Unbelievable. I think it's time to find a new cab company. read more

I always think I'm going to save a dollar or two using Bushwick instead of Northside, but really I'd rather shell out an extra dollar and not have to handle the horror that is dealing with the dispatchers/grumpy drivers. When attempting to explain anything longer than an address to the dispatcher (and we're talking maybe six words in total), if you do not scream into your telephone/make a SUPREME effort to bust some eardrums, the dispatcher will go ahead and tell you that what you're saying is nonsense. I asked if someone had turned in a lost wallet and was mumble-yelled at for an unpleasant period in return. That would be fine as an isolated incident, but the wait times for Bushwick car services should really be measured against a sun-dial as you eagerly await the sun to rise and then set before your car comes. Fancy calling the dispatcher after your "six-minute-estimate-turns-into-fifteen"? I wouldn't try it unless you're feeling like an absurd screaming match. And they will give you the hardest time IMAGINABLE if you want to use a credit card to get to the airport. Expect slamming doors and cold grunts from the driver if you even mention it. read more

Huge rip-off warning! They won't give you the price ahead of time on the phone, so you're pretty much stuck paying whatever they think they can extort out of you. They charged us $20 to go a measly 3 miles from Bushwick to East Flatbush! We knew it was overpriced as the night before we paid $18 to go from South Park Slope to Bushwick using Eastern Car Service (4 or 5 miles). Plus, when we balked at the price, the driver kept saying that its 5 miles. I had my phone with the google map in my hand, that said 3 miles, but he insisted it was 5. Horrible. read more

I don't even understand the hate. These guys are amazing. I have very early wake up calls sometimes and book these guys the night before for the next morning, they are always there early waiting on me. Prompt, polite, and accommodating. Recently moved from Bushwick to south Brooklyn and didn't have much stuff. So they got me a minivan with seats that magically fold into the floor, making it an enclosed flatbed which is great because it was raining. Very affordable pricing. I have to say I am a bit surprised that this place has such a low rating. I have been using them for 7 years and the only time they just didn't show up was when the MTA was on strike just before Christmas about 5 years ago and all the taxis and car services were crazy booked. They've always been on time and I've found the drivers to be really friendly. Once the guy gave me a hard time about wanting to use a credit card and he was charging more than the dispatcher quoted me (turns out the dispatcher quoted me too low a price but the guy was still a total ass), so I called to complain. The dispatcher (or whoever answered) apologized, offered to give me the difference if I came in, and I heard him call the driver on the radio and reprimand him. I was happy. I've found their prices to be fairly reasonable. The only thing that I don't like about them is that occasionally, they'll send people in their personal cars that don't have the Bushwick Car Service logo on the side. In this case, I'm not always sure if it's my car or not. I don't think it's particularly professional and if people are just getting called to use their own car you should get a discount. read more

Here is the thing, they are not the most awful service company, but they are not the best. There is a woman during the daytime that answers who is not all there. I feel like she gets too frazzled. It's made me late for work a lot because of her 'timing'. Any other time they are fine. Its that woman who usually lies and estimates the ETA quite a bit off of reality. Ordered a car service for a family emergency at 11:30 at night. I understand it's late but it's 24/7. Dispatcher tells me 5 mins. I go wait outside for 10 mins, no car. It's freezing so I went upstairs and looked out my window for the car to show up. 30 mins pass by and nothing..... I called back and the dispatch guy was rude as hell and told me I'm supposed to stay outside. I said I did for 10 mins after you told me a 5 minute wait, but it's cold out and I watched out my window no one showed up. He said he's send another car, I said no thanks Bc I have an emergency and he told me ONCE AGAIN I should have been outside and then hung up on me.
