I would give them zero stars... But I have to do 1 to make a review. I have NEVER given a bad…read morereview. Do not waste your time, money or childs self esteem here. The directors here are very unprofessional!! Literally told me "we can't have your child here because he gets on our nerves". Again...that was the director!!! Speechless. Also called to say my son was making arguing the rules of checkers (the game) and the director grabbed my son off the floor by his shirt. He was hysterical when I picked him up. She said it was inappropriate that she grabbed his shirt but "lightly grabbed it". My son has told me he saw her put her hands on other children as well. I am truly concerned. Police report was filed, nothing they can do at this time unless you have proof. I asked what event and specifically what my 8 year old son has done so wrong to be treated this way, and that's all she could say was he got on their nerves (her and husband). They live in the back of attached daycare. Which also concerns me. I pray no child is harmed there from her anger and unprofessionalism.

I would like to let you know that if you are thinking of placing your child in this day care and…read moreare on a child care assistance program DO NOT pick this place. My experience with Mr. Tommy that is pictured above is nice and I have nothing bad to say about him or the other counselors there but Mrs. Jennifer Nance is something else. She is Mr. Tommy's wife and there have been past issues with her that I let go with the thought of maybe she was just having a bad day but this last issue took the cake. On Friday December 16, 2016 I picked my son up and was in a rush due to his Christmas visitation with my ex-husband. My son apparently had martial arts testing that we were unaware of but even if we were made aware he still would not have been able to test. When I apologized that he would not be able to test due to the court appointed visitation and we didn't even know he had testing she became extremely rude and informed me that she doesn't have time to email the parents that's why I need to pick up a news letter. Ok so after her rudeness I signed my son out and left. Now fast forward to Monday December 19, 2016 I emailed Mrs. Nance to let her know of Jacobs absence for the Christmas break even though I verbally told her on the 16th and her response in email was a pleasant Merry Christmas. Now with any child care assistance program you are require to notify the program that your child will not be attending and they place your child on a temporary suspension for that time so that they will not be kicked out of the program. I did exactly what I was supposed to do per the program but Mrs. Nance called and left the rudest message on December 27, 2016 because I did what was required of me per the program. I contacted the program to find out if I had done anything wrong and that Mrs. Nance left me this message basically upset with me that I placed him on the suspension. I was told that what I did was correct and that she was upset because they do not pay if he is not there and that she is well aware of the contract that they have and is aware of this information. Well I contacted Mrs. Nance on today due to personal issues and lets just say that Mrs. Nance was in a not so happy mood. I informed her that I had spoken to the program and that they stated what I did was correct and that she was aware of the contract that she has with them. She did not like this at all and I also stated that maybe it would be best if I found other care for my son because when he has his summer visitation we will have this same issue and as I was talking she straight hung up in my face. Again this is just my experience and by no means am I saying anything negative about Mr. Tommy Nance or the other staff because I truly did like them but Mrs. Nance and her poor attitude and rude behavior is just to much. Only go if you are not on any type of assistance program because she doesn't what to abide by the rules she agreed to with the program.

I've been going to this place for exactly one year and boy it has been an amazing place to be in! I…read moredid have reallllly epic pictures and reviews before but Yelp had deleted the previous page (the business owner consolidated the pages for all Elite branches and deactivated them so the owner can manage them 'officially'), and I have to start from scratch. Let me just say this is my background: -- I learned Muay Thai when I was in middle school but it only lasted 3 months since it was only a summer thing my parents wanted my siblings and I to do. -- In college, I took a cardio kickboxing class for 1 semester and I thought it was pretty nice but not a lot of self-defence (none at all actually!). It was taught by a really exuberant and energetic trainer and she (I believe to this day) still teaches cheerleading. Yes. My fitness instructor in college was a cheerleader coach as well!!! -- Lastly, I played college sports, so I had my coach along with my fitness trainer. They taught us how to train well and eat well. However, no self-defense discipline. Now, to the review: I ran across Elite MMA by accident since I was interested in doing martial arts again but I really needed the motivation to go to the mats. My type of work does not allow a lot of flexibility and it involves working at night, therefore, I'm usually tired by the time I get on, or lacked a lot of sleep, or I'm pretty much starving since my sleep/meal schedule is always changing. I am very good at reading people well (it's part of my occupation) and I must say I have never met such a personable Coaches like Robert and Julian. 1) They are very passionate about their students and their wellbeing --- if I ever had kids of my own in the future, I would feel comfortable having these guys train them on how to roll. I also watch Robert with his own kid, and I must say he loves him to death --- note to parents: if a man cannot manage his household in a loving way, how can you expect him to care for yours? 2) They are very active in BJJ and encourages ALL of us to continue training all year long. Robert and Julian also compete so they continuously learn new things and teach us new moves. This leads to the next topic: 3) The Coaches train us to roll SAFELY! This is very important to me since I am familiar of other gyms/fitness centres that do not care about your personal well-being, (and dare I say it!?), just want your money! If I can tell that they're pressuring me to join them, I'll just refuse their offer since my health is more important than being out of the job. 4) Accountability. When you're missing for more than 1 week, they send you an email to see how you're doing. If Robert has your mobile number, he'll make sure to check that you're ok. If I'm having difficulty going to class because of work or I'm ill, all I need to do is let them know and it will put Robert and Julian at ease :-D 5) They have monthly events going on all the time. There are competitions and belt promotions going on. Families enjoy it and are having a blast. You should check out their "Lock-ins!" There are pizza, movies, and fun games for the kids! 6) Lastly, I can't thank Robert and Julian and the rest of the guys and gals for their friendships. They promote healthy relationships in this branch of Elite (I am not sure how the other branches are like). Going to a BJJ gym like Elite is worth it if you can always look forward to meeting your classmates there. Bonus: They also have cardio kick boxing! I have not done that myself (I would but it's just overkill for me on top of what I have on my plate!) Overall, check them out and have fun! Coach Robert and Julian, (and pretty much all the guys/gals/teens) will make you feel at home. I have never regretted ever joining them and I will sorely miss them. I learned to be disciplined and to be able to take care of myself in all situations :-D
