This is indeed an excellent kids playground, plenty of equipment to keep 'kids' of all ages entertained, but I seriously can't give it more than an 'ok' - seriously, Adelaide City Council, no shade, no sails over the play equipment? Don't we owe the cancer council and slip slop slap SOMETHING? Surely if the Unley, Campbelltown and Burnside councils can put shades over their playgrounds, the ACC can too??
There are two picnic tables under shade right in the middle - that's great - but lets face it, you can sit on a blanket under a tree if you want to eat - this is a playground, with the accent on PLAY. Put some sunshades up so people can use the park.
The equipment is all in great condition. There's a nice little maze, flying fox, monkey bars, swings, slides, a climbing net, sand with a fort on it, seesaws and assorted climbing frames - more than enough equipment for the kids to spend hours playing here - I was here in the middle of school holidays - it should have been swarming with kids. I suggest it wasn't because of the lack of shade. Please fix it, ACC
Playground is just north west of the aquatic centre, so there's lots of off street parking a short stroll away. read more
