Well my family has gone here forever but a few weeks ago I bought ginger beer. 7.99 plus tax for a 4 pack. While serving friends, used 3, when I went to grab the 4th I realized it was expired. Embarrassing explains why it was so cloudy. I called and spoke to the manager she tells me she has to ask the Coca Cola dealer if they will refund me. Wtf why would they? She even went to the shelf and saw the other boxes were also expired in august. She didn't offer a refund or anything. Won't be back. SMH read more

Erin Dorr in the last week Very rude customer service from the woman that works there (perhaps manages it?). I rarely give negative feedback, in most I'd rather say nothing at all, but I was so humiliated by this woman that I hope to spare anyone else encountering her. I am from out of state and was unaware of laws prohibiting children from entering the store with their parents. She yelled at me from across the store in front of my daughter's and all the customers, demanding that I leave. It was very unprofessional and could have been handled in a much kinder way. I spent the drive back to our hotel explaining to my kids that some individuals are just miserable people and do not know how to treat others respectfully. read more

The staff is completely rude and that's an understatement. I will never go back to this place. I was told by some asshole of a guy that I was a bad person for leaving my dog in the car for a little more than a minute. I literally ran in grabbed a box of wine and checked out. He proceeded to tell me that he hoped I didn't have kids because I would probably hurt them. Absolutely horrible. Never will I or anyone I know ever return to this store. read more

SO far, my favorite liquor store in Tulsa. Always has what I need, with a dollar or two, LOWER prices than closer stores to me.

We have shopped here for more than 20 years. We consistently receive help finding what we need and cannot ever recall just standing and waiting for the clerk to take our money. They still give case discounts if you ask for them and their prices are competitive with other stores where we shot. I think the new state laws have put additional pressure on stand alone stores but I think Burton's new owners have made the transition and I hope they will stay open. read more

This by far the worst liquor store in Tulsa. We moved into this neighborhood and thought this would be easy to get to but once we began using this store we were totally shocked. Talk about rude and don't give a shit about customers. Spent $100.00 there and had to ask for a bag. That's the last time I will be in that place !! Good prices. Staff is unfriendly and rude. I have to say 2 of them are cool. However, the ladies will literally have personal conversations while you stand there waiting with money on hand. They will totally ignore you for more than a minute. I stood there for 5 minutes the other day and I was the only customer in line. Also, one guy is always wearing Texas gear and is the resident meathead. He is never friendly or helpful. I think his role is to intimidate people. I have to admit, I've been a customer at Burton's on and off since 1999, and when I read the bad reviews, they were all true. I could "see the faces" of the people they described. But to be honest, the store is now under new ownership. Very few of the past employees were kept, and they were the most cheerful, friendly ones. The new faces came with big smiles. The whole store has been cleaned and rearranged, making room for the new refrigerators in the back. The shelves look as if they've been planned by someone with marketing experience or education. The bottles HAVE BEEN DUSTED. The parking lot seems busy; the lines are sometimes long but move quickly. Unfortunately, I think some nice folks were also lost in the change--There have always been those couple of nice ones. I suggest giving the store another try. So far the prices are still better than average. read more

By far the worst customer service I have ever received! Everyone is grouchy and rude. I have visited this place on and off for the past 4 years, and have yet to have a pleasant experience! If they weren't right across the street from my house I wouldn't have continued going. This last visit, however, was the final straw! On a Saturday at 5 minutes till 9:00p.m. an employee walked up to the door and locked it in my face. I pointed to the clock and stated that it was not 9 yet. There was a line of customers still inside the store. He said, "too bad, we are closed". I pointed out that I was with a group of friends, we all knew exactly what we wanted and we were not going to be shopping around, and that he was going to miss out on a large sale. His response was, "Ohh Boo Hoo I'm so heartbroken." I was appalled by his response!! This is just one of the many horrible experiences I have had at this place. Worst customer service in Tulsa. Today I spent over $50, brought my own cloth bag. When I checked out, the woman refused to package my bottle of vodka, one lg. bottle of wine and four 4-packs of wine. She just sat there and counted her cash while I packed the bottles that could have broken in the bag since they didn't protect each one with a paper bag. I telephoned the store after arriving home and asked to speak to the manager to get some kind of explanation of lack of service. The manager wasn't there. One of the check-out women answered the phone and I told them my story. The woman who answered said she didn't know why I wasn't helped in bagging the liquor. I asked her if she was the person who waited on me and said "no." We get so many customers coming through our store. I said, but I was just there 10 minutes ago. Then she transferred me to the other woman, who was rude and said 90% of their customers bring in their own bags and they all bag them. This is a lie. This is not Whole Foods!!!! Why do they have paper bags and boxes? These old bitches weren't telling the truth and I resent being treated that way both when checking out and follow-up telephone call. I will never shop that store again! read more
