-Overly charged on last statement Review case updates. Prepare for mediation. another Hr.
Big red flag also - email. Email John's hours to
Opposing Counsel.
Why in the world would my hrs I pay this professional to be going to the opposing counsels office? Code of ethics on Lawyers professional responsibilty is work with opposing cousel , not work with them against your client. One client , one counsel. Code of ethics violation right there and phone calls to opposing client when asked , replied no . Maybe opposing counsel had called but when asked about it , the answer was no and I was charged for it.

with Paralegal .30 hrs

-Prior to mediation John asked about what evidence I have to present to mediation or if a hearing happend? I have audio clips, and dates and pics, and receipts. I paid for this info to be read on several Hrs . That was a huge red flag for me ! He didn't know what evidence I had. The mediation was opposing counsels choice of pick. The Guy was trying to argue with me and told me you know I am a lawyer right? I should have asked him what do you bench ? Both my Lawyer and the mediator both had said the same thing, I need to have my kid in therapy for the last 5 times she was hit. She already had been if he read my evidence? Also the therapy didn't bring it out from 2 years ago. Now she wasn't bathed recently for 10 days and developed a uti. Mediator tried to say it was a bath bomb. Do you think they would sell those to parents if it gave them uti's ? Also neglect to give your kid a bath is a form of abuse,. Why would the mediator and opposing counsel try to say it's not? I pay a lawyer sitting right next to me and don't need your advice or opinions. John didn't talk. I did all the talking and asking questions, all he did was read a divorce decree that had no significance of the court order and only helped the mediator and opposing counsel, He sat there and took the wrong notes and charged me $850 plus 3 hrs of mediation prep . Isn't 1 hr of mediation prep or a hearing standard procedure? Another red flag for code of ethics committee. I guess that's why they make the big bucks, for doing very little. I was born at night, but I wasn't born last night !
Actually it was most likely a rehearsed mediation and surely played out that way. If I had to go back in time on that, I would have had him do the talking He charged me to read my evidence of 12 HRS PLUS OF BILLING and knew very little about anything.
I had a previous lawyer who never sent me statements I thought were bad. In reality he actually did way more work, he sent in motion after motion against opposing counsel and we went to mediation and we went to the final hearing in total of 7 months .
This guys office is a business to Overly charge for things that were not done on his end to show the administrative purpose of doing work. In reality the actual work completed is not there or not there at all. It just shows on the administrative side of billing . In the end the stipulation was not done , he took notes in mediation and had the notes messed up instead of 24rs , it should have been 48 hrs. The back and forth emails to opposing counsel add up his time and not being thorough. Isn't he the professional getting $425 an hr ?
Now he went to go play hide and seek and hasnt replied back to me to fix the 2 sentences to finalize the stipulation. He wants more money, I stated I have paid plently don't you think? I asked him to fix his 2 sentences to wrap it up.
No reply as of date!
