Wow, sadly some rogue receptionists here. No receptionist is trained in triage - should they be asking some of the questions that they ask?! Where is the quality control? I hope I never have to call now. There is no way to get an appointment unless you call at an appropriate time or queue outside for 30 minutes before opening time. How do people in work get an appointment for something non-urgent? Systems and policies here are likely putting people in danger. read more

So far, as a new patient, terrible! The registration process has worked insofar as my father is registered on the system as promised but first time I try to make an appointment for him, I'm told "appointments can only be made in the morning" and "nothing is available for 3 weeks." So how does an 83 year old who is being discharged from hospital get to see a doctor as requested by the hospital? I appreciate there are few doctors and I appreciate there are 22000 patients but surely a better service than this can be provided for by the only doctors practice in the area? I was a patient of the super efficient Taplow Health Centre a number of years ago. The NHS closed it in favour of merging Taplow with the less efficient Burnham Health Centre. Its been pretty much as I expected, bigger is not always better as has been proven. Making an appointment to see a doctor, via phone these days is harder than it was before and thats saying something. Honestly trying to get a doctors appointment is bit like taking a shot in the dark or a roll of the dice, its pot luck. They have an annoying message informing you the practice is open from 8am to 5pm and not to call until then. However when you do call at 8:00am you listen to the covid message and female recording informs you "sorry your call can't be completed, please phone later" and cuts the connection. What does later mean? I grew in countries in Africa that had wars, and diseases. It was still way easier to see a medical professional than here. read more

I have been registered with this surgery for 11 years,and have now lost confidence in them,as i have been trying to get them to sort out my ongoing problem with severe pain in my right knee and thigh,they have done a basic x-ray and a blood test,both were clear,so now they say that's it we can't find anything wrong,which is ridiculous,my leg gets red and inflamed,and i have to rest alot,now i find i cannot walk far,they offered no pain relief,or anything to protect my stomach from taking pain relief,no further scans or follow ups,or anything for inflamation,i don't feel like i want to go back to them,thank goodness we have moved away,so hoping our new surgery will give me the help i need. read more
