Since it's located in my neighborhood, I can sometimes run here, get a workout in, and run home. They have a bulletin board up with different workouts to follow along with: -Weekly Workouts-which are really helpful since, for the most part, I don't know what I'm doing. These are a great way for me to hit all the major muscle groups. -Cardio Workout-For when you're tired of just aimlessly pedaling away on a stationary bike. -'15 Minute Workouts' -for people that don't have an hour to spare at the gym. -The 301 Workout-This has become my favorite. When you've finished, the workout adds up to 301 reps of various exercises. A new one is posted every week. It's pretty intense (for me), but I feel very accomplished afterwards and the soreness the next day lets me know I worked out an area that I normally don't. When I'm unsure about one of the exercises, I just ask Jordan or Scotty and they always explain it to me. They're always so nice and never make me feel bad for not knowing. They also have 24 hour access. This is part of the convenience of the gym for me. I can go to the gym no matter what time it is. Heck, I can go on Christmas morning if I wanted. No more excuses!!!

Open 24 hours with no hassle or issues about crowdedness (at least in the wee early morning hours). They have a substantial area for weightlifting, cardio, and functional training. I also like that this location is kept up well. It's very clean and organized pretty well. They also have a studio room where it seems they hold classes from time to time. They have 4 bathrooms/showers and 2 changing rooms as well which are up to date. It also has a large parking lot so no worries there at all. I will say some of the equipment is not the most current, but it is well kept which is something I cannot say for all gyms with older equipment. Overall this gym is one of the nicest Anytime locations I've seen. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

Since then they have added and improved a great deal of things to this place! I have been going to this gym for over 5 years now and have absolutely loved it. The staff are all super kind and willing to answer questions and the head manager is always ready to answer anything too. When you first walk in you have the open area along with the day care room on your right and then you have the front desk and next to that is the smoothie bar! I have come to it to get plenty of Protein packed drinks to help refuel myself after a workout. They have a large variety of machines and freeweights on the ground floor on top of many other amazing options too. Upstairs you will have a more private workout area that is smaller and a vast majority of the cardio machines. Downstairs in the main area you will have the racket ball room, the workout/class room, the cycling room, the media room with a giant cinema screen to watch while working out, the pool area along with 24e's own version of crossfit in the room behind it. What is also awesome about the place is that they both come with spacious restroom and locker rooms. Fully equipped with showers and plenty of body wash or shampoo if needed. The guy's area comes with a sauna and a steamer room and I believe the women's rest room/locker room comes with a sauna as well. On top of this gym being a 24 hour access gym with scanning pass key access the community has really shown up and continued to grow and come to this gym over the years. And I am sure it will only continue to grow!

I don't like the younger people who come late at night and slam weights, gang monopolize machines, grunt/scream and who are generally just very annoying and loud. One of them has a membership and sneaks 20 of their friends in when the staff leaves. Not the friendliest gym. It is intimidating with all the new beef cake posters on the wall. I guess it's supposed to be encouraging but they look like shiny turkeys to me. I'm a fatty, I always have been, but I love to work out. I stick to mostly cardio and assisted machines. Didn't liked being asked when re joined in 2023 to do the body mass calculator. Almost felt like they wanted me to do it. No private place for women to do stretches and squats anymore. Completely open concept with big windows displaying all the fit people here. I miss the 2014-2015 vibes from here.

This gym's primary focus is strength training vs. HIIT or cardio (as you could probably infer from the gym name). As someone who has struggled with body image, disorder eating, and gym intimidation, a gym being able to make me feel included and comfortable really is a BIG thing. The trainers (& other members) know you by name and are real life normal people! The location has moved to awesome/beautiful space near Pepper Place as well. A few friends had tried Steel Strength Training and only had great things to say. I knew I needed a program that I could actually maintain rather than try for a few months and fall off, and they seemed like the perfect fit. After speaking with Nate, the owner, I came in early one morning for an initial consultation. He showed me around the gym and explained the program to me. We even tried a few workouts to gauge where I was and talked over my goals and what I needed to get out of the program. The rest, as they say, is history. I've been with Steel for over six months now and show now signs of stopping. They give you the tools you need to succeed inside and outside of the gym. I'm stronger than I've ever been and have a level of flexibility and movement that I never thought I could have. I still don't like the gym but there's a huge difference between not liking something and dreading it. I don't dread going to the gym anymore. I can see results both physically and mentally and that's the best part. I have so far to go but I know I'll reach my goals with Steel Strength Training. I have noticed the customer service start getting horribly bad for the last three years at the…read morePARKWAY EAST LOCATION. I've been a customer of this location for close to 20 years. The following are areas of customer service that they're failing in: 1. They stopped greeting customers when you walk in the gym. 2. They don't even acknowledge you when you walk in, they're either texting on their personal phones or just ignore you. . It makes you feel unwanted or a disturbance. 3. They turn the ceiling fans off at 9:40 pm . They DON'T CARE if club members are working out on the treadmill. They cutoff the air circulation to force customers to stop working out and go home. 4. They have hired a night manager with braids who thinks he can treat club members anyway without any accountability. He has anger issues. 5. He's the one turning off the ceilings fans 20 minutes before closing time. 6. He shouts at club members to leave the gym 5 minutes before closing time. 6.He turns on that annoying alarm 10 minutes before closing continuously. ITS VERY ANNOYING. 7. He's way to communicate with club members is through intimidation. He actually thinks club members are scared of him. LOL I have complained using their feedback. My efforts to complain have been futile. A different manager called and assured me that they will make improvements and things will change. He's assurance was not accurate cause nothing has changed, things have even gotten worse. What seems like retaliation for reporting. Since nothing can be done, I'm advising my relatives and friends to use the store in VESTAVIA they have excellent customer service and they don't treat club members like the aforementioned.
