I started Burn Boot Camp East Cobb when they first opened in November of 2017. I have always been an avid gym goer but being about 9 months postpartum after having my third child, I was at one of the heaviest weight I had been at and always felt tired and sluggish. I used the busyness of having 3 active children as an excuse to not get back in the gym and take care of myself. I felt as if I was giving and giving and giving to my family and I didn't have the time to take care of me. When I heard about Burn and the childcare they provided, I decided to try it out. I instantly become hooked and realized I now did not have an excuse to not take 45 minutes a day to myself to get in the gym, when childcare was right at my fingertips. The burn community and the amazing trainers pushed and motivated me to become better and stronger each camp. The focus meetings and the knowledge of the Burn trainers taught me the right way to eat to fuel my body and get the most of out of each of my workouts. I feel stronger and better than I have in several years. I feel like my success and accomplishments at Burn have made a better person, a better mom and a better wife. I joined Burn Bootcamp East Cobb in December of 2017. My friend Serene (now a Burn trainer) is the reason I found Burn. She was my super fit, super encouraging neighbor who had such enthusiasm about finding an exercise routine that fulfilled me. She suggested options, took me to classes and continued to encourage the one who seemed she couldn't be encouraged. I will be eternally grateful you she never gave up on me. Why I Burn? There are so many reasons, ones that mirror many of my fellow sisters. It's my time to be me, not just a mom. It's my time to improve my body and mind. It's meant I've made some of the truest most valuable friendships I've had in my adult life. It's given me my confidence and self worth back. I've learned to manage my anxiety, reduce stress and increase my overall happiness. I can say with honesty my life would not be nearly as fulfilled had I not found this community of like minded women and men who are all here to better themselves and everyone around them. If you've ever been in a gym, you know how hard it is to motivate yourself, or times where you feel like you're doing the same things over and over again, or maybe you've been in a gym that feels super judgy. I have for sure. And I know it sounds corny but as soon as I visited burn bootcamp, I felt extremely welcome, and I am constantly motivated by the other ladies in there, especially since I see many of the same ones every day and everyone is so encouraging. And not everyone is extremely fit, we're just all trying to create healthier lives for ourselves. And the trainers are amazing and compassionate and they really mix up all the workouts. As someone who has been in the gym for many years, and gone through many types like the YMCA, Gold's, Crunch, and Planet Fitness, I can seriously say this is the best one for really creating a healthy relationship with exercise, my body, and my mind. read more

I had done a boot camp nearby for years but left to go to OTF because it did not offer enough days. After a few months I started to really dislike OTF and saw a posting that Burn was coming to East Cobb. I stalked the page until they announced the first pop up. It was hot (outside) and hard but I loved the people and energy and knew I was going to sign up as soon as those doors opened. I am still here and while some injuries have made some things harder for me and I feel age catching up with me I am determined to keep setting that alarm for 5:30 and coming in. My first time to BurnEC was the week that they opened. Just like the other posts, I was hooked (and sore as heck)....immediately. I love that you will find all ages, all levels of fitness and all kinds of humor/motivation (depending on what your soul needs that day) inside the walls of Burn. Joining Burn EC is one of the best decisions I've made. It's not just a gym and strangers, it's a family. The only competition is with yourself, and everyone cheers on to get you to the next level. Keith and Serene are beyond supportive. Definitely a class environment with one-on-one training built in. You can't hide! Lol. They love to be involved and push you to your goals. No scary or embarrassing weigh-ins. Focus meetings are always positive and empowering from checking your body comp to helping with nutrition. Burn Boot camp is great! I signed up in March through the 6 week for $99 special. I didn't have a high expectation and figured I'd hop around on groupon deals until I found a good gym. Let's just say I never found another gym as Burn Boot Camp has been phenomenal! If you follow them on instagram you can see the workout for the day. It such a good setup and the people you work out with are exceptional on helping you stay motivated. It's great to be surrounded by people of different fitness levels, size, gender and we are all there for the same purpose. I was so nervous walking into Burn East Cobb the first day not knowing what to expect but knowing I needed to make a change. I asked the first girls I saw what I was supposed to do, and they happily explained what was going on. When I felt lost and didn't remember what I was supposed to be doing, I looked to see what the "strong girls" were doing and tried my best to "copy" them. Steven was training that day and was so encouraging and helpful. I piggybacked onto a new friend's focus meeting, so we could get our initial measurements and personalized goals. I came to Burn EC when I was six months post partum with my second baby a year ago. I only wish I had come sooner. It brought me back to myself and continues to provide me with a strong sense of pride and self accomplishment every time I leave. As a stay at home mom, I often feel defeated, discouraged, and mentally exhausted after giving everything I have to everyone else 24/7 and I can truly say that through tough workouts and an awesome community, Burn gives me exactly what I need to feel like I am the opposite of those things and much more. I recently moved to the East Cobb area and definitely fell off the work-out wagon! Before we moved, I was running 3 days a week and cross-training 3 days a week. After moving, I found myself too busy to find time to work out. A friend at work kept encouraging me to try Burn Boot Camp and she finally convinced me. I am so glad she did! I have enjoyed working with all of the trainers, they are all so encouraging and tough on you at the same time. Each workout leaves me expecting more of myself. I'm a commitment-phobe, especially when it comes to gyms. I can't even tell you how many different classes passes I have gone through over the past year. But after trying the 2 week free trial at Burn, I couldn't help but get hooked. Amazing workout in 45 minutes, you can literally park and run in 1 minute before (even when you bring kids!), daycare is right there and free, and BAM you got your workout in! I've never been a workout person, it's the furthest thing from my mind. After having my son, I needed to get into shape. I've tried independent workouts, and several gyms, I just wasn't motivated to go back. A friend recommended burn and I went on a whim and I was hooked! Never have I left a workout feeling so accomplished and itching to go back! The burn community is on another level as well! I joined when the East Cobb location opened 2 years ago and was 12 weeks post baby. First few months I wasn't consistent bc life as a working mom w a newborn but for the past 18 months I have gone 4-6 days a week.. I have NEVER done that with any fitness gym before in my life. The trainers are wonderful and welcoming as well as the members and the workouts are always different, you never get bored! I BurnBootCamp East Cobb! I have been coming since this location opened, encouraged by my 2 friends that fell in love with Burn themselves at another location. I was nervous about joining a gym, getting stuck in a contract, my kids not liking it, etc. Now I hate to miss a day. I love our community within Burn, our incredible trainers and staff that support and encourage us all, my kids love coming....it's the best way to start my day! We work hard and play hard together! I came in for the free two weeks and was hooked. I've been there a year and each workout is still just as challenging. If you are looking for both fun and challenging workouts this is your place. The trainers are excellent at helping you get the most of your 45 minute workout. Not sure how they manage to watch everyone at once but they make sure everyone is doing everything correctly. Burn is my second home. For anyone on the fence or new...Do not worry about keeping up with anyone. No contest there at all and plenty of people in all different levels, shapes and sizes. There are a lot of new people just starting out with you. I am a vet there but I am starting over from taking 4 months of with being pregnant and having a baby. Burn EC is THE place to be! It's a great gym where you feel included and not intimidated. Such a great workout! There is always a mod up or a mod down for exercises so you can work at your own level. The members here are so supportive of each other and cheer you on. Focus meetings are included with your monthly fee where you can address nutrition issues and different ways to reach your goal, whether your goal is weight loss, strength, or maintaining. Just wanted to let everyone know about BURN east cobb. I have found a gym I actually enjoy going to each morning. The workouts are never the same and there is a modification up and down for each exercise. I have not only found a gym but several good friends and supporters. The trainers are amazing and make sure you are comfortable in what you are doing. They also challenge you when they know you can handle it too! Burn Boot Camp East Cobb is amazing. I've been going since the opening day and love it. The group of ladies (and men) are fabulous. I've made so many friends. I love the trainers who push us to be our best every day. My body has changed in such positive ways. The staff is great and helpful and my kids love coming to hang out in the FREE child care area.
