I would give the gym 5 stars if not for a few inconveniences: 1. The women's sauna (in bathroom) is "out of order" nearly everytime I have went to use it. 2. The infrared pod has been out of order multiple times, so still haven't used that yet 3. The cryogenic machine has been down a few times but it looks to be better now that it isn't being used as much as it was grand opening week. I hope I get to use that soon. The facility has already said they will be adding sign up slots for the cryogenic machine, as well as roping off the recovery machines since it is an additional fee to the base membership. Lastly, the bathrooms should have paper towels, not just hand dryers. Sometimes I like to wipe my face or my armpits after a workout and prefer to not do it with toilet paper. My husband said someone even brought a roll of paper towels into the men's bathroom, which was then overflowing out of the trash cans because the trash wasn't taken out. I am not sure if the facility has shower towels. They aren't in the bathroom but may be available at the front desk.

At the end of July, I requested a freeze in person at the Hendersonville location. The representative assured me it would be frozen. I was charged the full September membership anyway. When I called, a manager admitted the front desk hadn't processed my freeze correctly and told me he was correcting the account and processing a refund. That never happened. The operations manager then refused the refund, saying there was "no documentation" of my freeze request - as if a customer should record themselves making an in-person request at the front desk. I was told I needed to fill out a freeze form, I'm not sure how I would know that if I was not told by the employee when requesting the freeze. The entire team is extremely unorganized and continually shifted blame amongst themselves or told me that this was my problem. I asked them to check security footage of the exchange as that is the only documentation I have even giving them an exact date and time and they refused. If I could give the gym 0 stars, I would.

I canceled my membership in advance of their closing for an entire month to remodel (God knows they…read moreneed to) so they don't charge me for an entire month when no one can use their facility. What do they do? They friggin' charge me! So basically take my money and run. No one answers their phones and I basically have to tell my bank to not accept their payment and show proof that I canceled with a couple days to spare. Thank goodness my bank has better customer service than these clowns.

Not the best place for serious gym goers, good for beginners and class workouts. I understand that lack of clothes may make others insecure of themselves, but that's why we're all at the gym, to raise confidence and our health. I am not confident in a sports bra and having to take my shirt off just to finish my workout was not okay. I left a review on google when this initially happened, but it is since deleted. Wonder why.

She proceeded to touch my thigh and tell me where my shorts length should be. I am a professional athlete and have never been shamed like this at any of anytime fitness gyms across the states, she claims her gym has its own set of rules and theres another anytime fitness 20 miles up the road.

In all my visits, and there have been plenty based on my check ins, I've never had an issue with having to wait on using a piece of equipment. Gold's does need to focus on cleanliness. There's no way in the world I'd use the men's bathroom other than to wash my hands. At times, there's no paper towels or disinfectant to clean the machines. I can't speak to any of the classes or trainers as I don't use those services. As for cost, well, just depends on how well you negotiate. There are other gyms at a lower cost if you need just the equipment to use.

The equipment is not maintained. Multiple treadmills broken for weeks, torn equipment pads, sticking cables, towel racks torn off the walls, over flowing trash cans, empty cleaning spray bottles. Even the employees complain about how this club is being run. The employees are amazing, but their hands are tied. So many new, better gyms to go to in Hendersonville now with the UFC, Golds, Burn, and even planet fitness.

There are signs that children are not allowed on machines and need to remain in the "kid room". HOWEVER, I have witnessed, more than once, along with other patrons that there is one customer who continues bringing her small, like 6 and under, grandkids and letting them play on the equipment and floor. They take pictures and think it's cute. Well, they may be cute to her, but not others. We are there to workout, not be watching and bothered by children. Extreme Fitness needs to enforce their own rules. When one of these children gets hurt, it will be too late. There will be a lawsuit. Respect other customers and ban children!! No other gym would you ever see a child on the floor/equipment!! Next time I might attach a photo of the disrespectful patron.

Minus the instructor having a face shield I was the only one is a mask. I know not everyone cares about that, for those who do, there you go. She did provide a disinfectant wipes when we were done with each circuit, so we could wipe down our area. The class wasn't full. You can tell they are doing their best to keep everyone safe. The workout itself was amazing...very challenging. I was sore for 2 days after. I was told it was one of the harder classes. Everyone was so encouraging, the environment here is the best. It seems to be a great investment and I'm seriously thinking about getting a membership.
