They made me feel terrible for even asking a question, a simple question for clarity! it was dreadful and i felt very discouraged for the assessments i had to complete. if you have to get lifeguard certified, i would 100% NOT recommend doing it through the hendersonville ymca....!!! we were tossed and left in the water for up to 3 hours with crinkly skin and no breaks!! If we even messed up once we would get scolded and shamed. It was not a good environment and if you are wanting to learn to better improve your skills in a happy enviromeant DONT come here. I also want to add how my instructors (who are most likely less experienced than me) were teaching... i don't think sooo!!!!!!

I would give the gym 5 stars if not for a few inconveniences: 1. The women's sauna (in bathroom) is "out of order" nearly everytime I have went to use it. 2. The infrared pod has been out of order multiple times, so still haven't used that yet 3. The cryogenic machine has been down a few times but it looks to be better now that it isn't being used as much as it was grand opening week. I hope I get to use that soon. The facility has already said they will be adding sign up slots for the cryogenic machine, as well as roping off the recovery machines since it is an additional fee to the base membership. Lastly, the bathrooms should have paper towels, not just hand dryers. Sometimes I like to wipe my face or my armpits after a workout and prefer to not do it with toilet paper. My husband said someone even brought a roll of paper towels into the men's bathroom, which was then overflowing out of the trash cans because the trash wasn't taken out. I am not sure if the facility has shower towels. They aren't in the bathroom but may be available at the front desk.

The process is deliberately convoluted, designed to frustrate and discourage customers from following through. I went in person to cancel me and my wife. They act like total savages and very dishonest with their customer service. Especially Jason and Andrew, who ever hired these unprofessional douchebags as managers needs to be fired and I hope everyone notices that this gym is a bunch of scams and has shady business. I will NEVER Support UFC ever again. Despite my efforts, they continue to charge me not only the regular membership fee but also unexplained additional charges. This isn't just poor service, it's a clear pattern of evasiveness and dishonesty. Their refusal to provide straightforward cancellation options and their continued billing without consent reflect a serious lack of integrity. If you value transparency and respect as a customer, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

In all my visits, and there have been plenty based on my check ins, I've never had an issue with having to wait on using a piece of equipment. Gold's does need to focus on cleanliness. There's no way in the world I'd use the men's bathroom other than to wash my hands. At times, there's no paper towels or disinfectant to clean the machines. I can't speak to any of the classes or trainers as I don't use those services. As for cost, well, just depends on how well you negotiate. There are other gyms at a lower cost if you need just the equipment to use.

Even the employees complain about how this club is being run. The employees are amazing, but their hands are tied. So many new, better gyms to go to in Hendersonville now with the UFC, Golds, Burn, and even planet fitness.

There are signs that children are not allowed on machines and need to remain in the "kid room". HOWEVER, I have witnessed, more than once, along with other patrons that there is one customer who continues bringing her small, like 6 and under, grandkids and letting them play on the equipment and floor. They take pictures and think it's cute. Well, they may be cute to her, but not others. We are there to workout, not be watching and bothered by children. Extreme Fitness needs to enforce their own rules. When one of these children gets hurt, it will be too late. There will be a lawsuit. Respect other customers and ban children!! No other gym would you ever see a child on the floor/equipment!! Next time I might attach a photo of the disrespectful patron.

Minus the instructor having a face shield I was the only one is a mask. I know not everyone cares about that, for those who do, there you go. She did provide a disinfectant wipes when we were done with each circuit, so we could wipe down our area. The class wasn't full. You can tell they are doing their best to keep everyone safe. The workout itself was amazing...very challenging. I was sore for 2 days after. I was told it was one of the harder classes. Everyone was so encouraging, the environment here is the best. It seems to be a great investment and I'm seriously thinking about getting a membership.
