Instead of coming prepared they served powdered lemonade mix with tap water from a hand wash sink. The lasagna this time had burnt pasta that you had to pick around, salad was fine but obviously prepared bagged by a third party, veggies were bland and mushy, pies were third party and nothing to brag about. To top it off there was a 16" hair in someone's lasagna. The first catering they performed was pulled pork and extremely over sauced. Just your basic catering that they slip on a plate. Limited options in the area so you get whAt you get. I begged our HR manager to never use them again!

This is long -but it is that special. Please help me spread the word…read more This place is so understated and deceiving -in a good way! It looks like a meat packing house from the out-side. But when you step in, it's a homage to the art of meat preparation. The owner Steve is a gem. You can tell this is not only a quality business but also a passion project that he has continued from his father. My daughter is a recent Purdue graduate from '25 class. We are not local, but from NJ. She found this place as part of a local walk and stopped by to pick up a gift certificate to give as a thank you gift.. She noticed they do catering- and thank goodness!. We rented an Airbnb for her graduation so family can stay with us and had planned to have a caterer. But the caterer I booked 4 months prior to graduation cancelled on me one week prior to the event! I was left high and dry. My daughter remembered that Beutlers caters! Steve literally saved us when all others could not or would not. He was not only empathetic to our situation, but he made sure we had an amazing feast and thought of everything to ensure we had the celebration we envisioned. The food was so incredibly good. My family was raving about it all weekend long. Truly THE best pulled Pork and Beef brisket we've ever had. And for a family that doesn't even like beans, they couldn't stop eating it! So good, it should be illegal. We had leftovers for days. Best of all, Steve told me he prepped all the food himself. His TLC was evident. He made sure we had everything needed, even lovely serving baskets and lighters for sternos! My only regret is that my daughter graduated, and I have no known future opportunities to call on Steve again to work his magic. I hope this review gains traction. I'm on a mission to ensure that word gets out about this rare gem of a place and the incredible owner behind it all, Steve Beutler. Heartfelt thank you Steve.

We were happy to be invited to their great office space to plan out our wedding day. They lead us step by step through all the options for the cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and cake. The only problem we had was trying to choose between so many great options. Skip to the wedding day, Shoup's showed up in full force! I was amazed with the amount of people the had to help out with the bar and catering. After the ceremony, we got our much needed first taste of our speciality cocktails. (side note: I had asked the On The Rocks staff to try to replicate a cocktail I had at a downtown bar. Kailey somehow got the exact recipe from the bar, and it was PERFECT) We went with the hand passed appetizers, which I would suggest because it let everyone socialize. The best part about being the bride and groom is that you get to go first in line for dinner. Shoup's bought a ton of food and no one went hungry that night. We also appreciated that Shoup's could do our wedding cake in with the package, and it was the best cake I have every had at a wedding. Lastly, go for the late night snack option. We did BBQ sliders. Special shout out to Janna Stillwell our wedding coordinator, she checked to make sure we had everything we needed. She was helping with even non catering related things. I remember commenting to my wife that Janna would have ran through a wall for us if we needed it. Our advice: call Shoup's, pick you favorite things, and let them take care of the rest.
