This youth hostel is located within the New Forest. The accomodation is within easy reach of the Beaulieu Motor Museum and the beaches of nearby Bournemouth. From the hostel you can experience both the attractions in the new forest and the nearby sea-side. You are also perfectly located if you like cycling or horseriding. There does not appear to be any accommodation that is this cheap in the locality.
The youth hostel is situated in an old residential property found at the end of an unsurfaced road surrounded by woodland. It provides very basic accommodation for families and individuals. There are a variety of sized rooms ranging from 4 beds to 10 beds. There is a self catering kitchen for those wanting to fend for themselves, and a food service which enable residents to purchase meals.
There is a tv room where you can socialise with other residents and relax, a washing machine and a drying room. There is plenty of parking out the front of the youth hostel and a cycle store for you to put your bikes.
Although I didn't stay in them, there were also tipis (tents) for rent which looked fun. It appeared that they were big enough for around 6 people to comfortably sleep in.
My only gripe about staying here was that the room we stayed in was pretty grotty and despite there being a number of members of staff in the building it didn't look as if cleaning was a high priority. read more
