I highly recommend! I lost my glasses last night when travelling between Limerick, killarney and…read moretralee. I just started working in a new job where I will be doing a lot of reading an work on a computer so I really could not afford to be without my glasses at all. I rang specsavers aswell as other opticians and they point blank refused to see me and were completely unhelpful and couldn't care less about my situation. I was a long tíme Customer of specsavers. My wife recommended I try tangney opticians in Tralee as she heard great things about them. When I called a very polite woman answered and told me to come straight in, they were fully booked but if I didn't mind waiting (and I wasn't really left waiting) that they would squeeze me in and get me an eye test and a pair of glasses by end of day. They were all fantastic. They tended to me very quickly, were very understanding about my situation and I had my eye exam, and glasses all within three hours. I am delighted at the service I received. Customer service goes a long way and I won't want to go anywhere else but here in future as a result. I am delighted with my new glasses and I can actually see clearer now if than I could with my last glasses even though my last eye exam was only 6 months ago. I highly recommend visiting these opticians. A++++++ rating from me. When choosing the glasses they did at first bring me to the most expensive range and we had a look, I asked to look at something less expensive and there were no issues the woman immediately directed me to another price range. We actually looked at everything in the store and she was more than patient with me as I tried on pair after pair to find the right fit. At no point whatsoever did I feel under duress to pay more than I wanted to pay. That being said I see why some might take issue with this, especially as it might result in some people buying outside of their price range such as elderly clients or clients that would be inclined to go with what is first suggested to them. However many stores do this and it is my decision at the end of the day. All I can say is that I was very happy with my experience and I will be returning in future. The staff were friendly and poliyte and they actually provide call out services for elderly who can't make it to the store and other services like that that I feel only a local store can provide.

At the time there was only designer frames being presented and I asked for any cheaper glasses but was told there wasn't any cheaper glasses , got €270 Calvin Klein ones ( no medical card )on second thought because of the price , but due to necessity I bought them. The second Covid lockdown soon came into action and by this time the lens on the glasses were somehow deteriorated , never used any sort of alien cleaning method as they later alleged , or never maltreated them, especially because of the price , and I couldn't find time to come into the store to address the issue because I live quite some time away from town. Today 21/06/22 I found time to go down there after making an appointment for 11am but I was told that they attempted to call me to switch my appointment for 10am, which I didn't receive any missed calls , yet they assumed I would've automatically knew this changing of appointment. I got there and was told to sit , was waiting for at least 30 minutes before they spoke with their 'manager' and apparently she repeated the same thing about a damaged lens cover or such. There were two staff addressing me , one directly and one at the reception desk inputting her two cents unnecessarily, so after a couple minutes of back and forth and the woman at the desk rudely interrupting me , explaining why I didn't come in , I explained that I didn't like the way I was addressed and she came over and started raising her voice at me sarcastically and condescendingly insulting me. After me expressing my frustration with the way she addressed me, she said I was the one to raise my voice at her and that's the reason why she shouted back at me. From the moment I entered to the moment I impulsively left, her attitude was seriously disgusting compared to her co-workers who tried to reason with me. I do not advise anybody to fall into the temptation of €5 and a longevity of frustration
