Maybe it's just me, but in my opinion, the cost does not match the taste. Kinda blah.

We have been traveling to Antwerp for 25+ years, and always, always stop at Burie for their Fresh Cream chocolates. Absolutely incredible. Burie is worth the effort. Highly recommended. read more

There are a number of reasons I like Neuhaus the best: - Of course, the chocolates are delicious. - A lot of the stores will allow you to sample any one that you choose (though this particular location didn't allow me to sample anything), so I was able to find ones that I really liked. - There was a large variety of pre-packaged chocolates, and I was able to find something in every price range (as gifts). - There are a number of different box sizes to choose from to make your own custom box of chocolates. - Friendly, multi-lingual customer service in all locations. I found out that there is one store in the US in New York, but my mother-in-law informed me that the chocolates there aren't as fresh as the ones I hand selected from Belgium. :)

(Because it is in the historical Palace building) The interior is palatial and feels like you're in a cool chocolate shop. So many Artisan varieties, it was overwhelming in a good way. So I asked one of the kind ladies to pick a mixed box of the chocolates we should try. 22 Euro for a medium box. Havana and Antwerp Beschuit were favorites. Also picked up some Truffles as gifts. All delicious! You can find your chocolate piece information on their website easily. They also have their Chocolate Kitchen which I didn't have a chance to see. Engaged and kind people behind the counter answering questions and providing exceptional service. Dominque Persoone's creations hit the mark. Best chocolatier in 2023 and lives up to the hype!

The quality is truly the best in Antwerp and with such a wide variety of flavors, you can find something for everyone. The staff there is top notch, they are very knowledgeable about chocolate and are warm/ friendly. Top picks; Antwerp Diamond (white with champagne truffle filling), Rubens Pallet (milk with walnut filling), and TNT (dark with lemon/eucalyptus ganache and CO2 - yes, tastes like pop rocks, very unique!, red hearts (milk with fruit filling - these are both tasty and beautiful). Enjoy!

Our most recent order was very custom - we specified which pralines we wanted in each box. We weren't sure of the names of the pralines, but they were incredibly helpful. We received our meticulously packed order and are preparing to send them to friends and family via Post. The size of the little box is perfect for slipping into a mailing envelope. It's a special treat for our U.S. friends and family to receive such a high quality product. Of course, we had to conduct our own taste test first. Delicious!

We had a fun time exploring this fun and unique museum. It starts off with some cool audio and…read morevisual effects as you wander through a few different rooms to learn how chocolate is made. Then you visit some different rooms where an audio guide will tell you more about different pioneers in the chocolate industry, different types of chocolate, and advancements that have been made. The audio guide didn't always seem to work. Unlike many places where you key in a number to hear the info, this one you scanned it almost like your remote control for your TV, but myself and most around me seemed to have trouble with some. Not a huge deal as there was TONS to listen to. The last room is full of about a dozen vats of different flavors of liquid chocolate. They let you into the room and give you a spoon and you get to sample the chocolate by holding your spoon underneath the spout and pulling down a lever. It was yummy! Some people seemed to mention all you can eat, but in our case it seemed like you were sort of herded through so that would be hard to do. Fortunately although it is delicious, it is also very rich so I'm not sure I would want all you can eat unless I was ready for an upset stomach. There also was a little bit of a hiccup when we arrived. We stored our coats and bags in the complimentary lockers but as we got in line to purchase our tickets, some sort of alarm went off and they had to get the people who were already in, out, and it delayed our entry by almost a full hour. Props to the staff who really tried to keep us entertained while we were waiting. They did bring us free water bottles, and samples of little chocolate balls that were good. I wish I got their names because a couple of staff members really did a nice job in an unexpected situation. All in all we enjoyed our trip to visit chocolate nation, and would encourage you to visit if in Antwerp!
