There are minimal options of colors in specific gear and sizes. When ordering specific gear through them, expect a week or more wait for arrival of order. You can find a lot of the gear they offer online for similar or cheaper prices with quicker shipping. A majority of the sticks are top of the line (most expensive) and have signs of use from kids "testing" them for extended periods of time in their shooting area. If you use a popular stick specification such as hand, curve, or flex, you most commonly will not find the stick you're looking for. A standard skate sharpening has been raised to $10 and you should only expect a good sharpening from specific employees. In the long run, buying a Sparx or asking a friend to use their Sparx would be more cost effective. Besides the owner and a couple of the full time employees, most of the employees are high schoolers with little knowledge of sizing and information about the gear they are selling. Overall, I do not recommend shopping or working at Hockey Haven.

Each time, I was given a new explanation, including a hard drive failure, but at no point did I receive a phone call or any communication to let me know about delays. Despite multiple follow-ups, my item was never embroidered. Because of the lack of transparency, poor communication, and failure to complete the service, I would not recommend this business to coworkers or anyone needing embroidery work. I will be seeking a different shop moving forward.

It was one my favorite moments of our trip and random people kept asking us where we got those shirts from wanting to buy them. Fast forward to present day.. I recently found out some pretty devastating news about my close friends who are married. There is a benefit coming up and when I talked with my trusty shirt team, explained the situation and asked if they could help, John L (one of the great owners) rose to the occasion. Within the day we had an approved shirt design, an online store in the works and a donation commitment of all profits to this beautiful family. OTP isn't just a turn and burn random t-shirt shop. When I go in there to ask a question the amount of info and the care (not to mention the enthusiasm!) with which they impart it is such that I feel compelled to buy something just to make things right. In one of several conversations I've had there ( this time with the owner's son, I believe), I mentioned in passing that I was interested in a certain wading shoe - I mentioned this as we discussed all sorts of other things. He didn't write anything down as far as I could see. Nonetheless, 30 hours later he called me and told me that what I was looking for didn't come in the size I mentioned. I was impressed that he remembered, that he researched, and took time to call me about something that meant no financial gain for this business. I definitely support this place with my business.
